I am suprised to see such a negative, probably biased review of the Minnieland @ Centreville Square. I have had three children now go through the programs at Centreville Square. Every Teacher we encountered was thoughtful and proffessional. Many a time staff and directors went out of their way for my children and my family. It was a warm and welcoming place where I felt my children were safe and loved. I highly recommed this facility to anyone who wants the best for their children!

I had my son enrolled at the Centerville Square Minnieland- located on Centreville Crest Ln. Horrible Directors, Horrible staff, Horrible experiences. After 3 1/2 weeks I withdrew him. They don't take their jobs seriously. They can't even keep track of the children, who showed up that day, or where they are, or in what classroom. The staff members know nothing about children or how to protect them. Please do not send your children here.

I will tell you that my children attended minnieland in stafford off Route 1. I think this center is now closed or is closing because I don't even see it on thier homepage under the centers tab anymore. I complained several times. My child was bit repeatdily every day. So bad that bruises and blood were seen. My doctor told me to remove him or tellt he director this is unexceptable. I was new there at the time so I tried to speak witht he director. I was assured she would take care of this & that they all take classes for such types of things. They shadow the biters and remove them to somethign else. blah blah. It was all lies! Eventually I had more a more problems. The tables were NEVER cleaned. I came in more than a few times to see paint left over from teh day before on teh tables the kids were eating breakfast on. It was so dirty. My child always had accident reports. CONSTANTLY! I finally had it when I was called & told my son was on his way to Mary Washington Hospital in an Ambulance. He had pull over a child coat closet shelf on himself and broke his nose. He had not even turned 3 yet at the time. The worse feelign in the world is getting a call like that. Arrving at the hospital to see your baby bloddy and bruised and a HUGE swollen face from forehead to nose! I met with the director to see what happend. I was assured they seen it happen and yelled for him not to climb on the item. After all that happend they wouldn't even remove the item from the room. THey said well this never happend before so we dont' feel the need to remove it. I said if your not going to remove it then it needs to be bolted to teh wall at the very least. Nothign was done. I removed my children. My youngest was only 6 months at the time. I walked in teh baby room to find a teaching propping a bottle up with one of the babies. Another child took a bottle from a baby stuck it in his mouth and all the teacher did was rip it out of the child who took it and gave it back to teh baby. Didn't even wash it off. It was disgusting! I WOULD NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVER LET ME CHILDREN ATTEND MINNIELAND!! EVER!!!! Parents please be aware! THey have several bad reviews! I am not lying about this and have hospital records to prove these things. I also witnesses SEVERAL TIMES 1 teacher to 20 kids at times. They would mix 2 year olds with 4 years olds. It was horrible. They were always over ratio! Hense the reason for so many accidents. Another mother removed her baby because he was dropped on his head. I was also told by another teacher that her and 2 other teachers witnessed my son's teacher put soap in his mouth for saying a bad word. The teacher actually put soap in my son's mouth for cussing! My son came home throwing up a few days for no reason. He would be fine in the morning and I would get a call that he had thrown up. I believe the soap into a 2 1/2 year old's mouth and him swallowing it made him sick. I figured that he just ate somethign bad a few times but once I heard from another teacher who worked at teh center and witnessed it happening, I believe they made him sick. When I questioned anyone about it they denied it of course! It's a good thign for them they didn't have camera's and I am sure that's why I was told by teh director that they would never get camera's because it's a violation to minnieland's privacy policy. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DAYCARE!!! I am now at Children of America where they DOhave cameras and they DO watch thier kids and they DO actually care for them and they DO follow ratios.

I only write this to caution parents who are not aware and might be considering Minnieland. Please don't!!! Look somewhere else! Anywhere else!! If you child does attend a Minnieland if you dont' believe this is happening maybe you should just show up unaanouned a few times or stick around to actually look at the kids or how the teachers act or if the room is clean. Does yoru child get hurt alot? Thigns that are played off as not a big deal?? Just please be aware these things REALLY did happen to my child. VERY SCARY!!

I was a previous parent of minnieland and pulled my child out because he was not being taken care of. He was being sent to another class room with a lower rate than what I was paying. I think Minnieland at this particular center should pay me back for all the times that he was sent to that classroom. I should be entitled to some kind of refund. The director there is someone that is dishonest to parents only honest to a selected few. I also walked in on a few occassions to pick my child up and heard her and a staff member haveing a screaming match with all doors to the office open. So unprofessional and it happened during naptime. Is this what the children hear at a time when it is supoosed to be quiet? Some role model!!! Makes me question why I had my child there for that long. I think parents should show up there unannounced to see exaclty what goes on because I am pretty sure that they will be very surprised.

There are many wonderful women at this particular daycare, however on one distinct day my child was being moved from one room to another (right next door) and ran off. Lucky mom was there to see him as my child ran straight to her. No teacher though...hmm, seven minutes or more later my child was brought back to the room and the teacher had no idea he had been missing. She had only 5 children minus one 4....that's scary.

I am surprised to hear such a negative review about Minnieland at Parkridge. My child has attended this center since she was an infant and we have always been extremely happy with the staff and the ladies in the office. My daughter, who is now in the Before and After room loves her classroom and her teachers.

The facility itself is beautiful and we have always been included and informed about every aspect of our daughter's development. Minnieland DOES have an open door policy and we take the opportunity to visit regularly. The school is family oriented and we are very happy to be part of their family.

My husband and I will continue to recommend this center to all of our neighbors, friends and family.

Thank your for always providing quality care!

This childcare center is full of warm and caring staff. I have no hesitation about the quality of care that is given at this center. I am there on a routine basis and I would not think twice about recommending this center to all my friends and family. The center has an open door policy and lots of family activities. Nothing is ever hidden from the parents and everybody is made to feel as if they are part of the team.

My child did not receive the quality of care I paid for. For the two months my infant attended this center I brought several complaints to the staff in in his room and the director such as; hoarse from crying all day, filthy face, left unattended crying in crib for long periods of time (I walked in twice and personally witness this) and not sitting up in a bouncy chair instead of lying in a crib all day. I suspected they were retaliated against my child because of me constantly pointing out their short-comings. This was confirmed when a parent stopped me in the parking lot and told me they had witnessed my child lying in the crib, unattended crying to the top of his lungs. My child's nose was draining mucus that went into his mouth. His eyes were noticeably puffy and his face red. The parent said they intentionally took their time picking up their infant to see how long it would take the providers to console my child or at least clean his face. It got to the point where the parent could not take it any more and went to the front office and told the secretary what was going. This is totally unacceptable. Minnieland definitely need to recheck their ratio among providers and infants and explain to me why my child was always chosen to be neglected among all of the other infants in the room.

i wouldn't recommend putting your children in this daycare. most of the staff is very capable and caring and do their job to the best of their ability. but you are paying lots of money to put your children in this daycare and are being promised that your children get to do certain things but that doesn't always happen. for example, parents of 2yr olds and up have to pay a summer activity fee because they supposedly do so much extra in the summer. well, thats not quite true. the 2 and 3 year old classes do no more than get to run through a sprinkler 2 days a week. is that worth 40 dollars?
