Five Star Jewelers was recommended to me by my step father. Nathan Kim gave my wife and I an "education" in diamonds and encouraged us to shop around. Once we found a ring that we liked and a wrap to go with it, I took the wrap to Five Star. Five Star custom made an engagement ring that was the engagement ring and the wrap all in one band. I then returned the original wrap to the mall. The ring appraises for $1000 over what I paid and about $1500 less then buying an engagement ring and wrap separately at another retailer. I highly recommend Five Star. There staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. All stones may be picked by hand to suit your needs. Prices are the lowest in the area. I cannot say enough about Five Star Jewelers.
My husband and I searched everywhere for my engagement ring. We finally went to the recommendations of the jewelers listed at The Washingtonian's website and from that list met with probably 9 of them. By far Daniel Kim (of Five Star) was the most knowledgeable and fairly priced. The store isn't fancy, but who cares about that?
i went here for an engagement ring. their prices are the best and you really don't need to bargain. just go to one of those web sites where you can put in the specs of the stone for the price, knock off 10% off that price and 5-star will stlil be lower.
great service, great quality, great prices.
