Ratings_icons A medical student's view

John F.

I am a fourth year medical student I also spent a month of my pediatrics rotation at Advanced Pediatrics. I also am a father of a 21 month old girl with a baby boy coming in December and we go to Dr. Martin at Advanced Pediatrics. So I've had a good look at this practice from two different perspectives and that's where I take my children. Parents know that says it all.

Ratings_icons Highly Recommended Pediatric Practice in Vienna

Beverly W.

I currently take my 3 kids to Advanced Pediatrics and highly recommend them to any family. The staff is warm and caring and the office is large, bright, and clean with sick and well-child waiting rooms. There are experienced male and female physicians who have privileges at Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals. They will see new babies born at those hospitals within 24 hours of birth. Basic lab work can be done on site, so you can often get an immediate diagnosis and get started on treatment right away. They have an after-hours emergency advice line so you can talk to someone even if your child is sick in the middle of the night. You can almost always get a sick appointment on the day you call and the office also has evening and Saturday hours. You and your children will be very well cared for by Advanced Pediatrics.

Ratings_icons WONDERFUL, AWESOME, SIMPLY THE BEST!

I take my 4.5 and 3 year old to this office, and all of the doctors have the best bedside manner, and treat their patients with the greatest care. Dr. Richard Schwartz is fantastic with my younger children. When he walks into the room, he engages in conversation at THEIR level, not mine. He gets them chatting and laughing, making them comfortable, so that he can ask THEM (not me) questions about how they are feeling. Even when they are sick, they leave with a smile on their face.
He gives very accurate diagnoses, and offers a variety of methods to treat the physical ailments, and then lets the me figure out which would be the best course for my children. However, at times, he has offered only one solution, but I trust him considering he was voted as one of the best peditricians in Washington Parent Magazine.
I would HIGHLY recommend this office for your children. The best staff, the best doctors, the best environment, the best care!

PROS: great doctors and care, great bedside manner, wonderful front office staff
CONS: none

Ratings_icons The absolute best pediatric practice in Vienna, Virginia

keira g. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,352

Advanced Pediatrics, in Vienna, Virginia, is the best pediatric practice I have encountered. The entire staff is caring and kind and ensures that all medical issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. They have a sick and well waiting room (separated from each other) so that if you are just there for a regular check up you and your child will not get germs from an otherwise sick patient. They have both male and female doctors there so that as your child ages, if he/she has a stated-preference the practice can accommodate them. They are reasonable priced if they accept your insurance. I highly recommend this pediatric practice.
