The winery offers free tastings and sales 10 am to 5pm and are open for tours June - December. It is a must see during foliage season. It was interesting to see them making the wine. After tasting the wine, you can buy some of the ones you enjoyed in their shop.

North River Winery is a charming, cozy little winery that focuses mainly on fruit wines rather than grape wines. Surprising ly delicious and unique - Vermont Harvest (best served warm) and Blueberry Apple are among the best. Other fruit includes cranbery, raspbery, rhubarb, and grape. The shop is full of great gifts for wine lovers, and they sell tons of gourmet snacks as well! As a bonus, there's a free wine tasting and/or tour starting whenever you arrive. The service is excellent, and the prices (generally $9-$13 over the past few years) are reasonable, especially in you invest in a case... then you get a discount roughly equal to a free bottle and a free corkscrew.

PROS: Quality, Price, Variety, Uniqueness
CONS: None!
