I have mixed experiences with the doctors and nurses here. I feel that some of the doctors are not considerate of parents concerns and others are very sensitive. For example, I had concerns about vaccinating all at once. If a doctor takes the time to discuss the issue, he or she will have much more influence over my final choice that if I am dismissed.

My biggest gripe is the phone line! 50% of the times that I call, I get a busy signal. Their phone system must not be able to handle the capacity.

We Love Dr. Wood

We used this practice up until just a year ago. For the most part I was satisfied in the early years, but as the practice grew it became more and more difficult to see a doctor even though more were on staff! They tend to overbook and the wait is usually long. The doctors are very good, so that's probably why so many new patients want to join. The practice just needs to draw the line somewhere.

I have had it with this office. I find quite often in dealing with this group, they talk down to parents, and do NOT take the parents concerns seriously. Recently we had the stomach flu go through the whole house, all three kids were sick. One wound up in the hospital with dehydration and the same day that he was admitted my daughter came down with it as well. When I called the office to ask for something to control her vomiting so I didn't have two in the hospital (I had just been seen there an hour prior to this), I was told by one to the "nurses" that I should open a can of fruit and give a teaspoon of the syrup every hour to this kid...who I told the nurse had vomited already thirteen times. When I tried to get her to listen to me and to what I was saying she kept interrupting me and then told me to feed the kid toast and to call back the next day if these things didn't work...what nonsense! Where did she ever get her degree? I am distressed over the fact that these "professinals" are the only children's group here in this town. If I had any other choice...I would take it. This is a terrible office, with just a couple of fine doctors. Dr Woods, and Dr Nelson are the best. The Hessions need to retire. Mr Hession is too old to treat anymore, and his wife is just not smart enough to be considered a doctor.

I find this office to be very user friendly! There are two separate play areas (one for sick kids, one for healthy kids just in for check ups!) The individual offices all have friendly themes from Fire Engines, to Jungle, with the tables and decor all matching to make the kids feel at ease. There are maybe one or two nurses that can occasionally be grumpy, but who doesn't have a bad day once in a while. The doctor's we usually deal with are Dr. Lovko, Dr. Wood and Dr. Nelson. All are very sweet and caring and take care of whatever need we might have. On occasion we have had other doctors in the office as well with no problems to note. They really seem to care about the family and will even ask about other siblings when we have one child in for a check up without the other 2. It may be really the only choice in town, but it is a good choice!

PROS: Separate waiting/play areas for healthy vs sick kids
CONS: Sometimes waits are long, but that is in every office

I have found some of their nurses or doctors to be snotty and unhelpful. I'm sure it's not all of them but some of the ones I've worked with and friends have worked with have been very unhelpful. They feel they are the only option in the area so don't work very hard on their customer service.

PROS: play room for kids
CONS: bad attitude
