If you like Bbq this is a great place to go. It is very small. Limited seating. Prices are reasonable. Would probably call in and take it to go next time. Great BBQ

Upon first entering the establishment I was somewhat impressed by the look; that is if you like to see alot of stuffed animal busts everywhere.. This should have been a clue what I was in for especially when I saw the buffulo and alligator's busts because the meet was as tough as thier hides probably. I love good food especially bar-b-que but when you go into a pit and there is no baby back ribs on the menu then you know that this is NO bar-b- ques place. I ordered the Turkey breast; the breast itself was so rubbery I thought I could go play tug of war with my dogs with it, the sides were TERRIBLE!! my wife had dirty rice and I told her that they broke the mold with the name of it. It not also looked lik they had dropped it on the floor and put it in a container and served it BUT it TASTED like it had dirt in it,so I guess the name fit the side. The cornbread was dry and the ribs was again like going into you closet and trying to bit into a pair of leather shoes. The best part of the meal was leaving and vowing to never walk into there again(unless they are tearing it down,in which I would bring the confettee). A place is really bad when the mamager eve tells you " yeah, the meat is kind of bland and dry" here's a hint then guy. Don't let you customer's eat the B.S then!! Total experiance was a BIG THUMBS DOWN!(toes to as a matter of fact) Like I said in my heading -you can do it better at home....ALOT BETTER!! So unless you want to be disappointed and you like bad food. I would strongly advise you to stay away from this slaughterhouse.. Until next time. Crissymac is off the air.

Pros: There were none

Cons: Food, Flies, Stuffed Dead Animals

So who am I to say that a BBQ joint is good or bad? Well...in the end, I'm just another diner with an opinion. However, I CAN say that my BBQ opinion is fairly well informed. I lived in Tennessee and Texas from '87-'07 and have had some of the very best (from the Vous to Kreutz's to Corky's to Schmitty's, etc.) ..as well lots and lots of little gas station, trailer and no name joints through out the South and Texas. It seemed that in the that region there existed only good bbq and better bbq.

With that said, my expectations were reasonably low....I didn't expect to get that quality of bbq here in Washington any more than I would expect a drool-inducing cioppino or salmon dish in the heartland (although I was open to being surprised). However, I did hope to get something that was at least *close* to as good as I can make at home. In that respect, I was utterly disappointed on both occasions. I tried the moo, oink, cluck my first time around....the ribs were edible, but the brisket was dry and the chicken was sawdust. The second time around, I ordered just ribs and my wife gave the chicken a second try. That fattier portions of the ribs were ok...the other parts were stringy, leathery and overcooked. My wife's chicken sandwich was simply bad...really, really bad. She ate almost none of it. I had one taste...yuck...not as good as McDonald's bad...and I'm NOT a fan of the clown. The sauce is cloyingly sweet and unbalanced.

I will say, on the brighter side, that all 3 sides and the cornbread were all pretty good, and were the main reason we didn't walk away hungry. With that said, they are called "sides" for a reason...a meal they are not.

I'm still holding out hope for Washington BBQ...but this place only served to affirm my fears. I've tried Dixie's and 3 Pigs....both were better than this, but unremarkable. My next stop will be Ranch House...fingers crossed.

Pros: Sides were good...potato salad, slaw, beans.

Cons: BBQ was not good....and it's a BBQ joint.

Simply superb BBQ! This place lets you build your own meal combos and serves beer as well. Indoor seating is tough to come by since this small place is usually packed. The food and service is definately worth it though, about $10 gets you more food than you could ever hope to finish and a beer or two.
