I'm not sure I'd classify this as a steakhouse. Diner, perhaps; old-style neighborhood cafe, definitely. Funky, fun, filling and friendly, oh yeah. Haven't been in for dinner, but lunches are pleasant and I've often had the all-hours breakfasts, which are tasty heaps of food in the classic artery hardening style of middle American tradition. If you're looking for upscale or innovative, head elsewhere. For simple comfort food and old-fashioned leisurely hang-out eating of it, you can do much worse than to slide into this period piece of an eatery. I like it.

Occasionally a PLU student will become curious and wonder why noone ever goes into the Wagon Wheel restaurant. The answer becomes apparent as the fare is low quality un-remarkable old-fashioned food with questionable white gravy poured on everything. The meats are usually tough and the breads/pastries are stale. The "fresh fudge" doesn't taste very fresh and is usually dry.

and they have great coupons on restaurant.com, where you get $25 off an order of $40, so we go there often! It could really use a good overall cleaning, though, (new carpets, etc) because you can tell they used to smoke in there. But, as said, the food is good and plentiful and prices are ok.

Yes, they go all out for brunch. You can fill your plate as much as you like and make repeat trips to the buffett. The selection is great, including the salmon. Desserts are to die for. Worth a trip over the bridge...

This place is unique and has it's share of regulars that you will see coming in during your meal time. The food is nothing really special, and is kind of bland I think. My b/f likes the stew in a sourdough bowl, he says it's the best thing they got goin' for em'. The homemade fudge is not too bad either. I would not recommend the salad bar, as it is not kept fresh in the three times or so we have come to eat here.

PROS: Good Stew, Good Fudge
CONS: Bad Salad Bar, Okay Service
