I've only been once and I'm just learning to board, so I think the next time I go it will be awesome! However, even for a beginner I enjoyed myself. A variety of runs, nice lifts (crowded), and awesome views. Beautiful terrain cuts thru the trees. I'll be going again this year.

Pros: terrain, setting

Cons: , parking, lines at bottom

.

It's a very good mountain for learners. With their Kids club but also its a very good mountain for advanced skiers as well.

Crystal is the best kept secret in the Northwest. I've been to Baker, Stevens, Bachelor and the Pass and Crystal tops them all. Especially since I live in the southend (Kent). Drive time is less than 1 1/2 hours. Price is a little too steep ($44) but for the avid skiier or snowboarder you can get a mid week pass for $299. Lodging could be better also. As for the slopes it's the best, especially the back country.

Pros: variance in runs, back country, lift speed
