Visit Carter Subaru for a variety of new and used cars by Subaru in the Seattle area. Our greater Bellevue, Kirkland, Renton, and Everett Subaru dealership is ready to assist you!
I'll never shop Carter Subaru because they managed to talk down to me before I even stopped in.
When I input my information I put a real email but preferred not to disclose my phone number or name on their "Car Finder" feature.
It did not return search results but instead entered me into their contact database. Not a big deal until...

Mildly amused at this guy's smarmy tone, I responded:
Dumb website that signs me up for spam instead of returning search results when I input information, no business!
I figured that would be the end of it.

Serves you right.......use your real name for real results....
I would totally have considered this dealership as a source for my next car, lack of search results notwithstanding, until the sales rep decided to lecture me about the horrible offense of not dumping all my personal information into a nameless faceless database for his sales contact convenience.
With this type of anti-customer service attitude, where the internet sales manager is put out that I didn't follow their process EXACTLY right rather than treating me politely as a potential customer I wouldn't even consider walking through the door.

I found Carter Subaru very helpful & they showed me every thing about the outback. I have had the car for three months & I LOVE my Subaru ! I have been a ford person since 1949 & I will never buy another ford.

In 2003 I bought a brand new legacy Outback wagon, and what piece of junk. The head gaskets have gone out twice, the second time due to the carter mechanics incorrectly repairing it the first time, the computer system had to be replaced, and they also incorrectly replaced the brakes and then refused to repair/ refund my money, so i had to go to another garage to get the brakes fixed. The customer service is extremely bad. The employees are rude. I will never buy another subaru, they have lost a life long customer. STAY AWAY from carter subaru!

If you're looking for a Subaru, this is the place to go. Joe Spitz and his wonderful team gave us the best service ever. . Joe has always given our family his personal attention and does such a good job at it that we've been going back to him for decades. Our entire family owns Subarus, all from Joe at Carter.

Carter Subaru in Shoreline has truly been good to my family over the years. I brought my old Subaru wagon here for service for years and they always treated me as if I bought my car there. When I was ready to get a new car, Carlos, one of the sales persons, was very helpful and understanding and did everything he could to give me a good deal. I had researched the purchase and knew how much to expect to pay. We did not haggle and everything we did in the business transacation was low pressue and on the up-and-up, they even went after my old dealership to get a refund on the leftover service policy.
In terms of service, Carter has been excellent. They always make things better in their service department. They give you a loaner car (now only if you bought your car there because it's become so popular) but most of the time you can wait while they do they work. They have build a new service center for quick work (like recalls, oil changes, tire rotations, etc). They have Internet access, espresso machines, and a comfy space to wait in while the work is being done, but also they're right across the street from a supermarket so I can get some shopping done.
I'm a big fan of Carlos and Carter Subaru in Shoreline. They have always treated me right.
PROS: Great service; friendly sales people; informed shoppers are treated well
CONS: Not enough car selection on the lot

No thanks if you are just looking..this is not a place to "window shop" unless you like being attacked by salespeople who dont' understand what the words "we're just looking" mean. They must be desperate for sales.

To make a long story short- DONT BUY FROM CARTERS SUBARU! In 2003 I bought a brand new Legacy Outback and its been an expensive and painful mistake. The head gasket had to be replaced twice. The first time at 35,000 miles then again at 85,000 miles. The second time due to the mechanics at Carter Subaru incorrectly replacing the original head gasket, which in turn caused more damage to the motor. it cost me $3600 to fix Carters mistake. two years ago i had all four brakes replaced, the I had to have the front brakes replaced again as the mechanics at Carter installed the front brakes incorrectly. Carter refused to compensate me for the repairs. Customer service is terrible. Carter Subaru has managed to lose a life long subaru customer and fan. I will never by subaru again.
Pros: NONE
Cons: DEFECTIVE PRODUCT and EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
