I can't feature what ticked these people off, but in the decades I've frequented any of the Cycle Barn stores, I've never seen anything like what these guys are talking about. I've always had a good experience whether buying a bike or parts.
Don't believe everything, make that anything, you read on the Web. Ok, except this. 8^)

Pros: Knowledgeable, friendly staff

Cons: A long drive for me

.

I went to the Cycle Barn knowing exactly what I wanted, a Triumph. Unfortunately it's one of the few dealerships in Western Washington.

I've been to the location before without buying anything, and without getting any offer of assistance. This time I just went straight to the salesman and told him what I wanted. An obvious mistake, as I came across as an eager sale. We talked about the bike a bit, and talked about the price. Never once did he offer me a test ride. I was there for hours, and this should have been my first sign to just walk out.

The salesman pulled the classic bait and switch on me when discussing the price and loan. I won't even get into how long they wanted the loan agreement for. We haggled a bit, but I still got a terrable deal.

What I should have done was walk away. I should have driven all the way to one of the other few Triumph dealers in Western Washington, but I didn't. So the best I can do is warn the rest of the buyers out there. If you are looking at a Japanese import, go elsewhere. We have plenty of dealerships around. If you are looking at a Triumph, make the drive down south. And finally if you do go to Cycle Barn, change your mind and go somewhere else. There is a reason why every review on every site about this place is negative

Pros: Selection of bikes

Cons: Everything else

.

This is the absolute worst place you could try to purchase a motorcycle. Here is my story. I went in with my bike I still owed on (negative equity) and wanted to purchase a bike that I had my eye on for a while. I was working with another dealership and wanted to get a comparison quote, as most everybody should. I told the salesperson the numbers over the phone and said if you could beat that price, i'll come in and pick it up. He said no problem, we can do that, so I went to the dealership. After 2 hours of the salesperson introducing me to people around the dealership, we decided to work on numbers. They wanted to give me $1200 less on my trade in than the other dealership, they weren't offering the manufactuer's promo that was currently offered (they said they weren't participating) like the other dealship was, and they offered no discount on price and wanted to charge $1400 in freight charges. I just laughed and said you are out of your mind, and the salesperson went back to work on numbers. He came back an hour and a half later and said "I can't believe my manager worked this out, you are getting a hell of a deal", and then I looked at the numbers. They worked out a deal that would not include my trade and gave me an out the door price. The out the door price was $400 more than MSRP for last year's model bike! I finally said you are not even going to earn my business and walked out of the store. I went back to the original dealership, traded my bike, got the promo and paid an out the door price that was less than Cycle Barn's best offer. Do not ever go here, they will not give you a good deal, the employees are rude. DON'T GO HERE.

Pros: None

Cons: Over priced, rude, high pressure, terrible service

They suck, don't ever go here. They try to rip you off and everybody is rude. They don't care about you, just a quick buck. If you want to spend money you don't have to and wanted to get treated like an idiot, they by all means go buy a bike here.

Had money in hand, Triumph salesman just had to let me decide, but he insisted on making the sale immediately, I wanted to think about it and he thought I wasted his time. Maybe he didn't think I could afford it or realize that I am young professional with plenty of $$ to drop. Oh well....
I would never return and have told others looking for Triumphs to avoid that place. It is a shame b/c only one other Triumph around here - Issaquah (they happened to be the opposite, very nice low key & helpful).

Nothing fancy, I've never really like Cycle Barn. If you're looking for a bike the prices are comparable to every other dealer...you may be able to find a deal on a used bike but don't count on it. I don't know if they're selling on commission or what but it seemed like they'd try to sell you anything and everything.
