5 Stars: Seastar Restaurant our favorite. (by Michelle T.)

We go here every year for our anniversary. OUr absolute FAVORITE dish is not even on the menu. You have to put in a special order for it when you make your reservations. Ask for the "Kobe Beef".

4 Stars: Best seafood on the Eastside (and I hate seafood) (by Brian W.)

I've experienced ALOT of bad seafood in my lifetime. But non of it ever came from Seastar. I've always been happy with the meals that I've had there and I am especially impressed with their unique sushi dishes that can only be found at Seastar. The prices are a bit on the high-end for restaurants in Bellevue but it is an excellent place to take a date or some out-of town friends once in a while. The staff are all friendly and quick to help you at your table when you are in need. Make sure to wear something nice (don't look like a slob) and make reservations because this place is usually near maximum capacity. I recommend the swordfish!

4 Stars: Great Seafood (by Mark H.)

I was there in a recent business trip and found the food great! The salmon was superb along with the appetizers (scallops and fruit). The prices where high but for the quality I guess that is to be expected.

4 Stars: Very Good Restaurant on the Eastside (by Hugh J.)

Go here for lunch. make reservation for when they open 11:30. sort of like one notch below power lunch, casual yet classy. order well, drinks, appetizer in the beginning and you'll be treated very well. go here before you try anywhere else in Eastside. note: they have a good email newsletter campaign. sign up, its very good way to stay intouch, and they don't bombard you with it.

2 Stars: Pretentious Rip-Off (by Alisha W.)

What a disappointment!

SeaStar sounded great, and with my mom in town from Arizona, the perfect place to eat.

We were promptly seated and then...ignored. The service was TERRIBLE. No recommendations, ignored us often, and very slow.

We each ordered $5 side salads, and then each ordered a lunch entree around $20. I had a scallops dish - 4 scallops! That is it. No veggie, just 4 scallops and some mashed starch. My mother ordered a salmon and scallops dish, which had a small piece of salmon and 3 scallops.

The food was good, but not phenomenal, and really disappointing in size.

We ordered as soon as we could and ate each item within normal time frame, and yet lunch took us 1.5 hours simply because we could never order, pay, etc.

5 Stars: Best Restaurant on the Eastside (by Jackie A.)

Seastar is without a doubt the eastsides best restaurant. The food is excellent and there is a wide enough variety to please any palete. Service is excellent too. They bend over backward to please you. Don't be afraid to ask if there is something you want that is not on the menu.

PROS: Everything - atmosphere, food, service, variety
CONS: Avoid the lunch hour on weekdays unless you want to sit in the bar.
