Many years ago I worked here, and have since been a patient several times, so I have seen the hospital from both angles. The hospital stays up to date on technology and keeps a knowledgeable staff (in fact one of the reasons I don't work there is that I graduated from nursing school and didn't have enough experience to meet their criteria) who are generally friendly.

One big problem with the inpatient side of the hospital is that they got rid of all their CNAs and LPNs. It's a mixed bag, because it means your primary nurse has less patients, but if the nurse is busy in another room, there is nobody to help you for a while.

I believe they have moved or at least are in transition to an all-computer charting system which means that wherever you go in the facility, your records are right there.

I was a patient in the ER several years ago when I didn't have insurance and they worked with me to make the bill disappear, and were extremely kind and helpful while doing so. More recently I went in with insurance and my insurance company only footed a small part of the bill, leaving me with the rest. The hospital was understanding of my financial situation and helped work out a deal to slowly pay off the bill as I was able to.

All in all I have had very good experiences at this facility.

Not usually a huge wait, just depends on the day of the week but the hospital is always clean and the staff is generally warm and caring. Can be a longer wait once you get into a room, maybe they need to add another Dr or two, but the nurses are great and pretty sympathetic.

PROS: Clean, friendly
CONS: Sometimes long wait.
