I go there because it is close and the food is sometimes good. I won't go again because the service is terrible, slow and the waitresses are rude.

This place is great for lunch. I go to Seattle University and it is right across the street. It has specials for students from 1-6 pm so it's nice on a student budget. It has pho and spring rolls and other healthy and fast options.

It's usually cold in there, so bring a jacket.

Maybe it was just what I ordered - the tamarind soup and the lemongrass chicken - but both dishes were watered-down messes. The people who work here are very pleasant and the prices aren't too bad, but folks, the food was pretty lackluster and unsatisfying. It confirmed a previous conclusion: College kids will eat anything.

It's obvious that the restuarant caters to the Seattle University community. Lunch seems packed on weekdays but the afternoons and evenings are generally more spacious. The food is fairly good, but what I love about this place is the variety of foods they offer...from spring rolls, vermicelli noodle bowls, beef skewers, and of course, pho. All of these things come at quite reasonable prices so you get your money's worth. The service is quick and attentive, and if the servers are busy, they'll at least let you know that they'll be right with you. It's a great place to stop by if one is in the area.

We were recommended this place by the Seattle University faculty. Because I ate here with a fairly large group, I had the opportunity to sample a variety of their offerings. The peanut chicken, cilantro prawns, beef with asian greens, and pho soup were all fantastic. Though the wine list was not very extensive, we managed to get wines to accomodate our food items. The ginger cheese cake a la mode was a fine finish to a great dinner.

I was literally walking to buy flowers on Madison when I came across this small restaurant. I did not have any expectations from it, but I was quite delighted at what I found. The prices of the items were reasonable. On my first visit, I ordered the Sprimp and Pork Spring Rolls and the House Special Vermicelli Noodles. The food was light, fresh, and satisfying. The Vermicelli was topped with some wonderfully marinaded beef skewers along with a shrimp ball and a tasty eggroll. Even though the placed was packed, the servers were still quite attentive.

It´s a nice unpretentious place that´s welcoming to the business man of the average college student. The place gets packed during lunch, but it´s very understandable. Dinner is low-key, and I think that the place offers many fresh, light, and healthy dishes for very reasonable prices. It´s great for Seattle University and for any local in the neighborhood. Though it´s not fancy, and the dishes don´t WOW! me, the food, service, and quality is very reliable- and I always feel that I get my money´s worth.

My family and I were visiting Seattle University as my son was graduating from Law school. We were recommended by the staff to eat at this restaurant. It was quite delightful- the East meets West style of food, the trendy decor, and the wait staff seemed really eager to answer our questions. They had pho, like any other Vietnamese place, but I really enjoyed the beef skewers (oh the seasoning!) and the pork egg rolls. The bubble tea still frightens my wife a little bit with those tapioca balls, but my son can't get enough if it. I enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Seattle has its abundance of Vietnamese restuarants...some are completely overhyped and overpriced, while others are no frills, no service. Gingerlime offers the quality, cost, and ambience without any gimmicks. You don't hear so much from this neighboring Seattle U. restaurant, but it's well worth the visit.

My wife and I are from Idaho and our experience to Seattle have been absolutely fabulous especially dining at Ginger Lime. Service was very attentive which was pleasant to have. As for food, they were great. We had the caramelized chicken and cilantro prawns. Very tastey! We'd recommend this little restaurant to anyone visiting Seattle.

I trusted the good reviews, and was disappointed. My dish, which the menu described as boneless chicken strips in a spicy sauce, arrived as a bowl of fatty dark meat chunks of chicken with a very few red pepper strips. Much needed rice was $1.00 extra per person, which was ridiculous, as it was handed out in miniscule bowls. My dinner ended up costing significantly more than I would have paid for a better dish elsewhere. The staff seemed overly concerned about how they were doing/where we heard about them, to the point of annoyance.

I think one of the hardest thing about being in the restaurant industry is to satisfy everyone's taste bud through food, ambience, and services. Opinions and reviews will differ from one person to another because we are all different in our expectation. As for my experience at Ginger Lime, it has been top notch excellent. Their service is quick, upbeat and very friendly. Foods are very fresh and tasty. I had the spicy chicken, pho and my friend had the crepes. One other thing I like about GL is their bathroom. Very clean with a high tech paper towel dispensor.

I just wanted to comment that Seattle is incredibly spoiled to have so many great Vietnamese restaurants. I would be lucky to find a PHO place at all from where I'm from. I've been to most of the Vietnamese places in Seattle and I have to say that they all offer different and good things to the cuisine. Of course, you can never please everyone...just read all the comments on various restaurants. This one, however, is dear to me because it's right next to campus, and I really appreciate how everyone treats me with respect even though I'm "just" a college student. Mmm, spicy chicken!

I think that Ginger Lime is a wonderful restaurant. What I especially LOVE about the restaurant is that on Sunday evenings, all of the profits go directly to charity. I am impressed that the entire staff volunteers their time (yes! they do not get paid) on a weekly basis. Not only that, every waiter/tress that I've encountered seemed genuinely happy to be working in Sundays. Thanks for your commitment!

I am a Seattle U student originally from Minnesota, and I have to say that it's such a blessing to have Ginger Lime nearby. There is nothing like it from where I am from. Anyhow, a few of my favorite things include: Service- the waiters are awesome; Cleanliness- It's so rare to find an Asian restaurant that is so clean; and Food!!! I love everything that I've tried so far but some of my favorites are the appetizers. I love the mushroom garden rolls with the hoison/oyster sauce...the pork eggrolls are a must (usually it's served with peanut sauce, but I love the sweet chili sauce)....and the beef skewers! Just thinking about them makes me salivate.

I can't really rate the service or anything because I've only gotten take out a couple of times - and sure the counter person seemed friendly enough but hey it's not the same as eating in. What I wanted to rate was the food and I am really sorry to say but it was not good. The salad rolls or whatever you call them were limp and lifeless, there was hardly anything in themexcept for some noodles and sprouts and the weird sauce that goes with it... eew. The other thing I ate was the grilled chicken - whatever you do, don't order that either - bland tasteless and totally not worth it. I am a student at seattle u so I am disappointed it's not better.

I've eaten at 4 Vietnamese restaurants within this past 2 months, twice at each shop and here is why I chose Ginger Lime.

-Monsoon. Great food, good fine dining, bit on the high price.
-Green Papaya. Unique food, high price, inattentive service, slow in getting food. Foods were ok. Will not come back.
-Lemongrass. Saw PI review. Nothing special. Server needs to refill water and check on you. Most dishes are similar with few variation.

Ginger Lime is a cross between casual and fine dining. Foods are very tasty and healthy. I love their services, very quick, always asking if I need water, & makes friendly conversation. Not expensive and you get a lot with some similar dishes as other restaurants. Bubble tea is one of the best and most of the ice-creams offered are home-made in the kitchen. I highly recommend this to everyone. Definitely will come back often!

Within the past year, it seems like more than a handful of Vietnamese restaurants have opened up in Seattle. What I like about Ginger Lime is that the food is light, tasty, and fresh. They offer not only Vietnamese food but also a wide variety of Pan-Asian Cuisine. I must say that I was impressed by their Vegetarian list. The food is nowhere near as elegant as the Green Papaya or the presentation at the Monsoon, but the dinners at Ginger Lime can hold their own. Especially when you consider how much you save in value, the food only becomes more appealing. The waiters are attentive...when I dropped my utensils, another set came my way without my asking. However, they are never pushy to get the billed paid. I was left in peace to read my book for over an hour after I finished eating.

All I can say is wow! Even during the summertime when school is out of session, the lunches are still packed. Still service is prompt and the waiters (with their hands fll) are amazingly attentive. The food is huge and the atmosphere is casual. I can't get enough of Ginger Lime. Parking is tough, but it is well worth the trouble. Oh, yeah, the best bubble tea around!

Ginger Lime is located somewhere between the upscale-ness of The Monsoon, and the casualness of The Vietnamese restaurants on Jackson street. The waiters all speak perfect English and are prompt to greet you if they are not already helping other customers. The food arrives in large portions for such modest prices and I can't help but be thankful for such a family and student friendly establishment. It's not well known, yet, but it's by far my favorite restaurant.

I am often skeptical going to a new Vietnamese restuarant, however, trying out for the 2nd time at Ginger Lime have shaken off that gutting feeling of mine. They have good menu selection and great services! I especially love the pan asian dishes including the Thai Basil Halibut and Ginger Beef Pasta. Who can forget those bubble tea! They offered some of the best tasting ones around here as far as the places I've tried. As for the service, they are kind and sometime very funny and comedic. Seems like they have a lot of fun here.
