I've gone here several times before the ballet or other Seattle Center events. The food is good pub food - salads, burgers, pasta. My boyfriend really likes the spicy tater tots. McMenamins' beer is always decent, although not excellent.

Showing up for lunch, had us waiting an hour to serve our party of 6. The only thing was there were no other patrons that came in the entire time we were there. Not hard to fix 6 basic sandwiches. I actually had to ask them how long it was going to take because my lunch hour is only an hour. They were actually surprised that we would ask for our food at this point. We weren't offered silverware or even napkins, I guess the mode of cleanup is to wipe your hands on your pants.

Chewing on cardboard would have been an upgrade to the fries that I was served. Hopefully the cardboard might arrive somewhat warm, unlike their fries. The Philly steak sandwich was as bland as my interest to ever enter this establishment again. I would suggest this restaurant if you ever feel like you have done something wrong and would like to punish yourself, this is your spot.

Pros: they shouldn't be in business much longer

Cons: I ever had to experience this day.

It was burger Friday at the ol' office and the suggestion of the day was for Mc Menamins on Queen Anne. In the beginning all six of us had high hopes of steak sandwiches, burgers grilled to perfection, and heaps of fries; with the goal of being served in a timely manner. (say 20min for food prep, 20min to eat and 10min to pay) As we sat and time passed our hopes quickly faded. Soon wed been waiting over 40 minuets for food, and being the only people having lunch we didnt expect to be waiting this long. Finally after 50 some minuets of waiting the food did arrive. At first glance the food looked fair enough, average looking burgers and sandwichs, as well as a seemingly ample supply of fries. But alas, the burger its self was charbroiled to the point of non-recognition, the steak sandwich was described as tasting like a stack of paper plates and the fries, oh the poor fries. Now, Im no expert when it comes to fries or cardboard; but I feel that dining on greasy strips of shoebox would be more satisfying than these quasi edible strips of potato. Please do not misinterpret my review, Im sure the beer is cold and the ambiance pleasing but please heed my advice and join me in avoiding Mc Menamins on Queen Anne.
