I moved to Seattle several years ago not knowing the city or any people in the area. My goal was to find a centrally located health club so I could take advantage of Pike Market and the great restaurants and clubs in the Bell Town area. What I found was not only a facility with expansive and top quality fitness equipment, but one that offers a wide variety of other benefits as well. The club has a professional clientele and has been a great source for business networking as well as the many great friends I have met over the years. The front desk staff quickly gets to know you and has your preferred locker key ready as you walk thru the front door. The trainers are among the best I??ve ever encountered, and always available for advice or a session of intense training. The real unexpected bonus was the great social programs they offer like wine tasting parties and cooking classes with Tom Douglas, a nationally recognized chef and owner of the some of Seattle??s top restaurants. Throw in the great squash program and the variety of experienced massage therapists and you soon understand why SAC is one of, if not the premier, Athletic club in Seattle. Thanks to all the hardworking staff that make it such a great facility.

The outside of the Seattle Athletic Club is deceiving in that facility is more extensive then it looks. First I wanted to say that I enjoy going to this club. The staff is great and the equipment they have are nice as well.

What I don't recommend this club: Parking, Parking, Parking. Their parking validations are from 5:30 am- 9:30am and 3:00 pm - 10:30 pm. They have a 3 hour limit as well. I find it kind of ridiculous for a health club to put a time limit, the whole point of a gym is to stay long as you can and exercise right? But no, you have to worry if it has been 3 hours yet. Also another point to make out is that you have to pay 12 dollars if you don't get there before 3 pm.

But again if you're talking about the gym itself its great. Although if you're a basketball player you might be a little disappointed with their basketball court. It's kinda small and there are lot of dead spots around it lol. But hey, its in Downtown - where else can you find a basketball court in downtown Seattle (maybe besides the YMCA).

The place is great if you live in Downtown but there can be lot of traffic since its right by the Pike Place market. There are lot of bums around the area too...

I'm not sure. When I was going to Golds gym I could go to all Golds gym, I understand surrporting local business, One of the reason's why I change Gym's. I cant help but think I should be able to use both gyms for the price of one membership.

I have belonged to The Seattle Athletic Club for 8 years now and love it. The club has everything you could want in a health club and it is all included, not to mention the great social activites. The staff at the club are friendly and really know what they are doing. Many of my friends have come as guests and ended up joining. It's the best club in Seattle.
