Over the past 15 years I have bought many tools/accessories from Tool Town on Elliott Ave in Seattle. Always seems to be good pricing, and as important, good selection. Good guys.

I also realize that I am helping a small business rather than a big box store - and they can't take the "hit" of taking tools back or refunding very easily. Too many people would likely use the tool for their "quick" need, and return. Do that to the Home Depots of the world, if you are low enough to do it at all.

I bought a builders level at the Elliot Ave store from a Salesman named Mike, he said I could not exchange the builders level I bought the very next day, practically new and unopened in the box.

First of all it was not brand new, the date says 11-2005, it is a very high quality instrument yet I do not see why I cannot exchange it for another tool. I got mad and told the guy off on the phone and said I would never go to that store again! (Temper, temper...)

Price was in the ballpark, but tool was old and sold at new price...

Anyways, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!!

Pending legal battles regarding transaction....

Disgruntled customer....

I like Tool Town as they have a hugh assortment of tools you might not find in the bigger stores. I enjoy going in just to chat with the staff and find out new things or even find out things I didn't know about hardware and how to fix things. That in itself is worth the visit, the knowledgable staff.
