I've been shopping at this store for a few months. The manager was awesome and everyone loved him. There was a manager of another Kmart store and his store closed so he moved around to other stores "helping out," instead of being laid off.

If you guys want to go out of business, keep it up. I couldn't get anyone to take my money for at least 15 minutes and the store was practically empty. I finally just put my stuff on the counter and left. I won't be back anytime soon.

I stopped in last Friday because I had 15 minutes to kill, and ended up with a small purchase and headed for the checkout line in plenty of time to make it to my appointment. I was 3rd in line, and the checker offered a Sears Credit card to the 2 people in front of me with the incentive of a free 2 liter bottle of pop. The 1st person said no thanks and took her bags, the 2nd person said yes he'd like a card, and the checker was flustered and didn't know how to enter the data on the computer. So as she was asking the next checker what to do, the 1st lady set off the alarm at the door so she had to come back and de-arm something she had purchased.

About that time another checker came over and invited me to lane 1, but when the checker and I both got there there were already 2 people in line, and she served them 1st.

The receipt included an online survey, so I filled it out at home and promptly received an apologetic phone call from the manager. He collected more details, and promised he'd work with the checkers to avoid such issues in the future, and he offered a $10 gift card for my troubles, but I would have to come to the store to pick it up.

So on my way home from work, I stopped by the store, and had to hunt for the service desk - it wasn't easy to find. When I asked for the manager, they phoned him and reported he'd be right out.

In the mean time the workers were trying to locate anyone in the garden dept to help a customer, and finally had to ask an electronics employee to help.

After 15 minutes the manager hadn't shown. So, if the store can't find a garden employee to help a customer, and the manager can't find the time to meet with a customer, and can't keep the checkout lines flowing smoothly, the store should review their staffing levels to allow for customer support.

I made another small purchase and left, but as I was leaving another customer set off the alarm because a checker had forgotten to remove a security tag again.

I went to the restroom there and discovered, much to my horror, that someone had defecated on the floor. When I told an employee, they told me that it would be cleaned up promptly. I did my shopping (which took about 30 mintues because I had a lot of things I needed to get) and went back to the restroom because, by that point, I really had to use it. Still hadn't been cleaned up and the employee just told me to go somewhere else.
