Absolutely refused to accept a 100% current and valid valpak coupon. This coupon was even 100% valid for the specific location and we were there during the hours specified for this coupon for this location. Very poor business practice and total disregard for their customer. I was looking forward to trying this establishment, but will now never go there again.

I worked for John and Angela for about two years. I enjoyed working there and got addicted to that food! Out of all Mongolian Grills I've been to, this one is my favorite. The sweet and sour soup is the best! You won't find a better sweet/sour anywhere else. It is important that you add a good amount of sauce, scoop of oil, and spices. You can always ask for help if you are not exactly sure what sauces are good.
Angela and John are nice and welcoming. At the time that I worked there I got payed minimum wage and was able to take my cash tips. I'm not sure how much the cooks get payed but I know that they are working there at their own free will! I come back often to eat, and saw they made a really nice change. Everything looks good.
I recommend this place to everyone!

My wife and I live about 30 miles from the Yummy Mongolian BBQ. We have eaten at hundreds of Mongolian grills in Oregon, Washington, California, many other states and countries. We find that Yummy is the best of them all. The food is excellent. While all other Mongolian restaurants water down their sauces, Yummy does not.

They have a larger selection of beef, pork, chicken and sea food than any other Mongolian Grill. They also have a larger quantity of fresh vegetables.

The owner, Angela, is very personable and caring. If anything needs to be addressed, she is open to suggestions. She and John do a great job.

So, I used to come eat at Yummy Mongolian Grill about once a week (not anymore) and I've noticed that every time I come it's the same people working. Any day of the week. And also, all the employees are Spanish, not that there's anything wrong with that. Also, the cooks don't speak much English and seeing all this makes me think that they are either illegal immigrants working for less than minimum wage or this restaurant is just racist and only hires Spanish workers...it just doesn't seem right.

After I thought about it, the only reasonable explanation for all the workers being Spanish, poor English, and working there 7 days a week (it seems) I'm pretty sure these workers are getting payed under the table...maybe labor and industries should look into this...

As for the food, it tastes ok when you know how to make it.

We drive down from Kelso (40 miles each way) to eat here on a regular basis. Excellent food at a reasonable price, how can you go wrong with the fresh ingredients to make your own meals. They are redecorating and putting in a larger grill so the place is getting a face-lift. The staff is friendly and helpful including the owner Angela who is becoming more of a friend all the time. I've eaten at other Mongolian Grills in the area, yes there are a few, but we go this one because the others don't compare in quality, service, friendliness or food .

After good experiences at other Mongolian Grill restaurants, we were delighted to see the variety of choices available here on Mill Plain and 123rd. Kids eat free, they have soft ice cream, 3 choices of all you can eat soup and all you can eat appetizers. The interior is a little dated but clean. The service is very good and we feel this is the best Mongolian Grill we have tried in Oregon or Washington. Great for families!! and get togethers!

Of every single aspect of what it is to experience a mongolion grill, this one was just okay on all of it. None of it was all that great or all that bad. There are too many other better options to go back to this one.

I have read all 14 reviews and I'll have to agree with most, however the case of diarrhea; I ate, and still eat there all the time, never had a problem. Same thing with everyone else I know that has eaten there. Yes, the ventilation is very bad. I should say extremely bad. No matter for how long you'll stay in that place, you'll have to go home take a shower and wash all the cloths you have worn, unless you like that smell on you :). The bathrooms are stinky. But tolerable. The managers put air fresheners occasionally. I don't know exactly why it stinks the bathroom because they are cleaned every morning by the cooks. If you go there in the middle of summer, bring a personal fan. It gets really hot, you will feel like your in a sauna eating Mongolian, the poor cooks have to have towels to wipe their face and necks from sweat. During the winter, it gets extremely cold.People complain all the time. The best I could do, was offer hot tea, for free.. The owner would have a great big fit knowing this. Now, to the lady who had the problem with the guy and her child not opening the door; I was there that day. Saw it all. I am completely on your side, and was not surprised AT ALL that the manager did not refund you your money or give you a take-out box. The owners, are very greedy people. And very cheap. They'll do anything they can to get more money for themselves, they take the waitress's tips, and instruct them to tell customers that they do get the tips. Once on Christmas, I made about 50$ in credit card tips, and she kept it all, oh! but she did however give me 5$, as a Christmas present I guess. The worst thing she does, is pay all the cooks 2$ an hour!!!! Does this sound like I'm joking? Because I am not. What bugs me though, is how fake the manager, Angela, can be. Some customers LOVE her, and that's because she really knows how to put on a great fake smile and compliment you. The owners are very unprofessional. They really don't care about anyone but themselves... Now about the food. I love the food. And i still eat it, knowing that the meat, vegetables, and everything else is handled without gloves in the kitchen by all the cooks, other then that the food is good. Next time you go there, make sure that the napkins you are using are indeed new, because Angela tends to look through the garbage's and put back napkins into the napkin dispensers. She also makes the waiters save napkins, straws, etc. that "look" unused from tables. About the prices, I think a total of 27.73 dinner for two is quite spendy. However, children 9 and under are free, so that's good. And don't forget, dinner is all day Saturday and Sunday; I know a lot of people don't like paying dinner price at 11:00 am, but you do get to have shrimp and salmon (the only thing different for dinner price). And last of all, yes the place is very dirty. Don't blame it on the waitresses, there is a lot to clean, and there is only one waitress at a time to do all the work, including working on the cash register. Cleaning all the wood walls, wiping the dust, cleaning tables, chairs, ( I can go on and on) simply is impossible to be done by one person. And of course, the owners wont do anything about it, to them saving money is more important then a clean restaurant

i eat at this location every once in a while. The food is good, the employees are polite, but the one thing i HATE is, everytime i go get my food, sit down and as soon as i start to eat the manager runs over to my table and starts asking me questions and just TALKS TALKS TALKS...she just wont shut up and let me eat my food! i try avoiding her but she still finds her way around me...thats why i like it when shes not there, and the waitress doesnt bother me. she just asks how im doing, and leaves... the manager of this place is very annoying!!!!

I really liked it the first time I went it was alot better than going to the mall and having to pay by the weight of the plate!!!! The last person's review need's to take their upidy self back to the desert where they fried their brain cell's. It was a nice restraunt casual setting and I liked the fact you can go thru and choose what you wanted. I liked that it's buffet style. Of course snotty richy rich ppl dont like serving themselves that's why they probably where amazed to find that they had to actually lift a finger, and the location is fine their probably glad you wont return b/c your rude.

I have been a Mongolian fan for many years, more than I can count. I have had some good and bad in between but this experience was just a little too off the wall. Normally my wife and 3 year old go to Golden Tent by the Vancouver Mall, we love that place. But this time we wanted to try the "other" place which is closer to our house.First it is not in a great location, the entrance is on the backside of Mill Plain in a strip mall that probably should never have been built since it has never been fully occupied. We walked in and ordered two adult dinners, sodas and then asked for milk for my son. No milk. So I asked for juice. No juice. So, obviously my first impression is that this place is not kid friendly to toddlers. We then went to pay (in advance, which seems odd, neither Chang's or Golden Tent require this) and the bill came out to considerably more than anywhere else we go. We decided it might be worth it.We go find a seat and notice that it is hot inside the building. It was one of the first truly hot days this summer. We are both former desert people and decide that it might still be worth it. We bellied up to the food line and saw immediately that the meat was cubed, not shaved which seems odd and different than any other Mongolian place. The rest of it was pedestrian items, nothing special but admittedly a good assortment of veggies and the such.Basically, for the price we paid and having to endure the heat inside the building and did not feel we received anything special over a Changs or Golden Tent, I cannot honestly recommend this place to anyone. The other two reviewers need to get out and try other places.

My entire family also begs to go to Mongolian grill for dinner. The food is always fresh, the staff is always welcoming. I have also just found out that they rent out their patio area for birthday parties and decorate with balloons for a nice kid friendly event! My children can't wait for it to be their birthday time again so that they can have a mongolian grill party:)

My kids ask me almost every night if we can go to Mongolian for dinner. With 4 kids, that gets expensive, but I understand their enthusiasm. I love this place too! They recently changed to make it more of a buffet style restaurant too. Which I'm thrilled with, because the servers were horriable! Slow! Now it's self serve drinks, rice wraps and rice. All the food is raw, and you design what you want on your plate. Some chicken or salmon/ noodles/ few veggies/ and then you add the sauces you like before it is cooked on a big grill. I have found the best combo is basil, olive oil, teryaki, garlic, and lemon juice makes a tasty meal. Enjoy and experiment with this all you can eat grill!

PROS: Excellent Food/ Kid Friendly

I absolutly love the Mongolian Grill. And so does my hard to please kiddo's. The food it raw and placed like a salad bar. You pick and choose what you like, add sauces fitting to your taste, then take what you've created to be grilled.
