4 Stars: Piatti Seattle is great! (by Andrea G.)

This is one of my favorite spots in the U district to eat. It offers a menu choice for everyone. The prices are affordable and the portions are good sized.

5 Stars: I Love Piati (by CandiceR)

I used to work in the Village and personally I think this is one of the best restaurants. The staff is always super friendly, and the food is great. I am a special fan of their Happy Hour too! Super great deals on all the best food (no big entrees). Their caesar salad actually comes with anchovies, which is kind of rare these days, and their calamari is delicious (in fact I think I like the fried broccoli better than the squid). Their drinks are all great, although I usually stick to the wine.

5 Stars: I always love eating at Piatti (by ilurvit)

Considering I'm on a budget I am very particular about where I choose to spend my cash when I'm treating myself to a meal.
I LOVE Piatti.
The ambiance is welcoming, warm and a little bit romantic. I've always had great experiences with the staff.
I typically sit at the bar. There is a bartender who I am always happy to see when I go in, she is attentive, the perfect balance of conversational and giving space, she makes great drinks as well.

But the food... the food is wonderful. What I most appreciate (aside from the wonderful flavors... everything is delicious) is that they accomidate my special requests happily and with no problem. (Yes, I'm that annoying person who would like this on the side and please sub this... at least I tip well for the trouble, okay?) If you simply ask what your options are for trading side dished, substituting items and things like that they have always been great about it. You truly get exactly what you want, which I appreciate.

The only thing I am a little unhappy with is that they took away my favorite sourdough bread which comes with an herb bread. Now they serve a dense white bread and herb bread for dipping and I really wish they'd bring the old stuff back. Needless to say it isnt a deal breaker!

My thoughts on the food (I am no expert);

Love the Grilled Portobella Panini sub with Chicken
All of the pasta's except the Duck Ragu (which they may not have anymore... it wasn't good at all)
The pizza's are good but my fave is the Prosciutto
If you want soup get the Butternut one...
I salivate over all of their antipasti's especially the Gamberi though I wish it'd come with more (probably best that it doesn't though)
My absolute favorite salad is seasonal and its the Halubut one. Get it if its on the menu and you want something light but filling.

Things on the menu change relatively frequently so its always nice to get a new taste to try that is pretty much a guarenteed great dish.

5 Stars: I love everything about this restaurant (by Pat T.)

It's such a relaxing place to be. The service is wonderful, everyone there is always very friendly. The dining room is beautiful. Very classy but not pretentious. Wonderful for big celebrations or quiet evenings!

The food is always excellent! I always love their soup. Make sure you save room for dessert, too. Try this restaurant soon!

4 Stars: Best Deal in Town (by jobong)

I wenrt to Piatti last night and was offered therir economic stimulus menu. What? Turns out they are doing theri part to offset gas prices by offering a killer four course dinner for only 25 dollah. After some sort of yummy veggie lasagna type appetizer, a caesar, seared sole in brown butter and gelato I was fat and happy. I'll be back next week to try some other choiceson that menu!

4 Stars: In the summertime: best place in the U. Village (by Jennifer S.)

Here they have two outdoor seating areas: the one that faces Barnes and Noble and the Gap (and therefore great for people watching) and the back area which is usually quieter and more shady. There's nothing better than sitting outside with a basket of bread and drinking a glass of wine in the summer. Their food is great all year round though. For lunch I like their panini sandwiches or one of their pasta dishes. I love their gnocchi. Their menu changes throughout the year (I am still waiting for them to get back their crabcakes) and they offer a number of daily specials. It's one of the pricier places in the U. Village, but I think it's nice to have the option of having a more upscale sit down restaurant, amidst all the super casual eateries there. I've never made a reservation there, for lunch or for dinner and never had to wait too long for a table.

5 Stars: Great food, romantic atmosphere, low price (by jimtinsley)

5 Stars: Literally Perfect! (by arauth)

My boyfriend took me out on a impromptu date to Piatti, and since I had checked citysearch minutes beforehand and only saw one $, I figured it was cheap and not to expect much. I was blown away... Ordered calamari, northwest berry salad, and a mushroom/ravioli dish for both, and all were delicious, unique, and very much worth it. Food came in great time, the waiter came exactly when we needed him, and the bill came to $52 - not bad. I would come here every week if I could!

5 Stars: best italian in seattle (by greeneyedlady7)

This is our favorite Italian spot around Seattle - I see this other review & wonder if they went to the same restaurant? The food is by no means bland, it's awesome & great flavors! True Italian flavor, something which Seattle Italian restaurants lack. It's romantic & casual, love the fireplace area, the bar is sweet.. you must go. Who cares if it's in the U-Village.. it's on the outskirts & you'd never know it once inside. I know my Italian, and this is as one of the best.

4 Stars: Great service! Okay food... (by huskygirl3)

If you want to go to a great looking place with excellent service, then try Piatti's! The food is a bit expensive for the small portions but the presentation looks nice. The taste is not the best because I found the food quite bland (I've tried many of their entrees before because of going in large groups). The service is great, very attentive and friendly!! I recommend making reservations but there is an 18% gratuity for parties of 9 or more. It is a nice first-date restaurant :)

5 Stars: Thumbs Up To Piatti Restaurant! (by mrs_dunwoody)

I ordered the Gnocci with Creamy Pesto, garnished with Marinara and Pine Nuts. I was a little hesitant at paying $11.95 for Gnocci, but they were truly fabulous (and this means quite a bit coming from somebody with Italian heritage!) The pesto was a lovely compliment to these soft and tender, perfectly cooked Gnocci. Also, the server was wonderful. He doted just enough to make the experience pleasant, anticipating our needs at right time.

5 Stars: Divine! (by wanderingstar)

We unexpectantly found Piatti and what a blessing! The gnocci and ravioli are amazing. I haven't been there during the evening but their wine bar looks appealing. Plus, the decor is adorable!

5 Stars: Great menu! (by TaraJacobs)

We LOVE Italian food, and have our favorite places but decided to try Piatti after doing some shopping at the U Village. They have a bar that was very inviting, and was playing the Mariner game without giving the rowdy ambience of a sports bar. It was still very mellow and non-obtrusive to the restaurant seating area, which was adjacent to the bar. My husband had the alfredo pizza, and I had the spinach/chicken salad. I ordered a small, which was still very sizeable. Both tasted great! We will definitely go back! I also ordered a drink from their summer drink menu. It was really good, and pretty strong with rum which is unusual. It had about as much rum as I would have added if I had made the drink at home. That says a lot -- no skimping here!
