TRC Construction (affiliated with The Reijnen Company) remodeled our kitchen and master bath, and painted our living room in Feb-April 2004. Their work was beautiful and the vendors they recommended for cabinets and our concrete countertops were great. We get a lot of compliments on the work they did.
However, it took far too long to get the work done. For most of the project, we had one guy doing all the work himself (Michael). And he wasn't even on site every day, or even the whole day when he did show up. He had a lot of other conflicting projects, so I don't blame him, but as homeowners it was difficult to have construction going on for so long, especially since we weren't doing major work like tearing down walls. We had to do a lot of the "project management" ourselves - calling the company to get exact dates when things would be done, providing lists of tasks that still needed to be completed, getting correct invoices with costs, etc.
Michael was great with our dogs, so we were comfortable with leaving them inside the house with him, and he was also very trustworthy and easy to talk to, and did lovely work on our tile, installing sinks and faucets, and painting.
Just be warned that if you hire them, you'll need to get on their case about your project and making sure it gets completed on time and as they said it would.
PROS: lovely work, great staff
CONS: need to manage them constantly
