The library located in the Freemont district is wonderful. It is housed in a building dated to the 1920s. It was newly remodeled recently. The staff there goes out of its way to ensure that you find what you are looking for. Also, they have a large Internet resource area. I was impressed with their selection of DVDs as well.
PROS: neat building, great staff, good selection

Madrona's library is a small but very pleasant branch. There's a local author shelf and a small play area for kids. The collection is small, but of course you can always place a hold on any book in the system and have it delvered for pickup. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The library is in the old historic Madrona firehouse.
PROS: friendly
CONS: small
