Ivar's is like an old glove. They fit pretty well. I think their happy hour works since everything is half price. Check it out.

Pros: Good prices at happy hour

.

Great razor clams, and While I don;t normally like mussels.. theirs are great!Try dipping bread in the sauce from the mussels..
I prefer weekday nights, as its quieter, and we sit by the window, and watch the ferry, and the sunset..
Good food !

Good seafood for a reasonable price. The breaded razor clams are the best. The best penn cove mussels you ever had. Try happy hour in the bar and feed two for the price of one.

My husband and I have dinned here many times, mostly for dinner. We have been there for Happy Hour too. Happy Hour is crazy though it does not officially begin until 4:30 (I think). It almost doesn't matter though as no matter what time after work or day of the week there is never available seating. Good for their business but not good for me. As a result we do not go there unless planning on eating in the main dinning room. The main dinning room is great. Almost all of the tables have a view of the sound and ferry. Food in either spot is great. Staff are also very accommodating of small children (have high chairs, friendly staff, and good menu). In fact the children's portions are pretty much 'full size', just at a lower cost.Parking can be an issue though. Do no expect to get street parking, use the small lot just down the street next to the Buzz Inn designated for Ivar's.PRO: Atmosphere and view.CON: Happy Hour too crowded.

Anniversary dinner. Waterfront table overlooking Port Gardener Bay. Totally wonderful until the main courses arrived. Wife had the halibut. It appeared to be boiled and lay atop purple potatoes. Tasteless. For me, a seafood Cannelloni. A

Pros: Nice place. Been going there for years.

Cons: New menu. Very sad.

We had dinner one week night, fairly early. There were very few diners at the time so the kitchen's laziness had no excuse. I don't eat onions and needed some substitutions. When I got my meal with the substituted items, the requested

Pros: Nice view

Cons: Expensive, Lacks imagination, Parking??

Not your usual Ivar's - the menu is unique, the food tastes great with their new chef, and the service and decor are excellent. We choose if routinely over Arnies and Anthony's for dinner. Get the crab bisque!

The recently reopened Ivars in Mukilteo is a stunning surprise. A major renovation has yielded a warm and inviting dining room with lots of wood and a fireplace adds to the warmth. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. The real surprise
