The Seattle Drum School is easily one of the best, and yet probably the least widely known misical school in Seattle. Contrary to what the name implies, the school teaches everything from accordion to the electric guitar. I myself took lessons there for four years, and I enjoyed my experience there so much that I now volunteer there and help with the concerts.

Oh, did I for get to mentoin that? There is a Little Auditorium in the Back, dubbed The L.A.B. where concerts are held every friday and Saturday featuring everything from community Jazz to local Punk and Metal bands.

If you, or anyone know has an interst in picking up an instrument, learning the basics of being a disc jockey, or simply want to learn how to sing, the Seattle Drum School is the place to go.

I'm now half way through the year long drum/percussion course and have had the time of my life!
I highly recommend anyone interested in furthering their percussive education to stop by the school and see what its all about. Whether you want to take private lessons or the year-long intensive course, you wont find a better place to do so than the Seattle Drum School of Music!
Personally, the year-long course is where its at. Why spend the money on a 4 year education when the teaching is just as good (or better) and it costs much less!

With a variety of services available, from private lessons, rock band camp (kids and adults), afro-cuban ensembles, and even a full-year certificate program, there's quite a bit of value to be had from checking this place out.

Also, there is a fully functional all ages venue in the same facility called the L.A.B (Little Auditorium in the Back), which is a great spot for local bands to come and showcase for friends, family, and passerby's alike. Also, a variety of recording services are available, and any bands who play at the L.A.B receive a free live recording of their whole set for free.

Overall, a great place for musicians to expand and meet other like-minded people.

I have had two kids take lessons there and they LOVE to go. Their instructor Mike makes it so much fun for them.

The Seattle Drum School of Music is something quite amazing and unique all together. They offer drums and music instruction for all ages. They have seminars and workshops quite often. These folks are influencing the youth to express their musical talents. Along with the classes for the youth, they provide an all ages venue across the street from the school. They are open to all genres of music and they provide a free CD copy of the live show for the performers. Free and professionally mixed! What a deal? That is true kindness.
Bravo!
