Reviews for Etherea Salon Spa

Ratings_icons Unfriendly and Disinterested.

If you go to this "salon" in order to purchase Aveda makeup be prepared for a totally disinterested person to "help" you. This is the second or third time I've been there since it became an Etherea "salon" and I 've always come away annoyed with myself for going back there. I must be a glutton for punishment. The Aveda store in Pacific Center is great with professional and experienced help and even though it's further away from where I live in future they will get my business. Who needs agro when they go shopping for cosmetics? A little enthusiastic HELP is required to sell anything as any experienced business person will tell you.

Ratings_icons Unproffesional staff, too small

Anonymous

I have been to several spas in the northwest and this was not what I had in mind when I was going to a full day of treatments. The spa is too small so you have to sit in the middle of everything and watch housekeeping duties being done and stuff being moved around while you are eating your lunch and waiting between services. The services were not scheduled well and each individual staff member did not know you were there for the day so you did not get a pampered feeling. One thing the m/up artist said to me when she found out that I was a m/up artist is why are you getting your m/up done if you know how to do it yourself? I told her it was part of the package. She said oh, and rushed through my application since I was her last appointment of the day. I was not satisfied with the application at all. I did not think it looked professional at all. I did receive a great haircut from Krystal so that was nice and Ryan did an amazing job on the facial. My biggest thing that bothered me other then being surrounded by the housekeeping duties going on was having to listen to the staff talk about there personal business and how they can't wait until they are off. I don't want to know these things when I am trying to relax. I did not think the manicures were worth the money at all. It was no better then what you get for 15 bucks at a strip mall nail salon. Not impressed! Overall I would rate this spa a 3 out of 10.

Ratings_icons Great Day of Beauty

Nicole G.

I owed a girlfriend a "weekend" getaway and chose Etherea Salon Spa for our Day of Beauty. We had a fabulous time! She had a swedish massage and I a body polish (Anthea). We both had facials (Alice) and then had manicure/pedicures with Mary Jane. Since my friend didn't have time to shower between her massage and mani/ped, the salon threw in a quick shampoo/style on the house! We were pampered on all day and made to feel very special. All the employees were polite, courteous and very good at what they did. A+ Highly Recommend! (PS: This was the Alexis Hotel location)

PROS: Very relaxing, GREAT SERVICE and TECHS!
CONS: none

Ratings_icons overall not the best, but not the worst

i had my nails done at this salon twice. the first time, was just a plain manicure and pedicure, which was done okay. just very slow. and the manicurist/pedicurist did not speak to me. it was as though i was a robot. the second time i came in, i specifically had shown how i wanted to the stones to be placed on my fingernails. yes, i know, this place is not known to have the service of 3-d art on nails, but i was actually teaching her step-by-step. i must give the manicurist credit for trying, but gosh, she definately cannot be going to nail conventions.

This is a wonderful place to go to get pampered. I went to go get my hair cut and colored and got way more than I expected. While your color is processing they give you a complimentary hand massage and paraffin dip. Did I mention its FREE!! The staff was great, one of the best salons I've been to.
