Not great food, crowded, expensive, but fantastic views. Good to see once or twice, but I doubt I'll go back.

The Sky City restaurant at the Space Needle has truly become the finest dining experience in the area. The view is amazing as the restaurant rotates almost imperceptibly, giving you a view of the entire city over the course of an hour. The quality of the food is unsurpassed and the service staff takes care of you from beginning to end. I can't wait to go back for more!!!

I would give the trip up to the Space Needle and the observation deck 5 stars and the restaurant 1 star. There are SO many amazing restaurants in Seattle- for the money, dinner at the Space Needle is NOT worth it. If I'm paying over $30

I sent 2 lobster tails back! The worse I ever had.\r
The waiter started out to be the best, then when the lobster was sent back twice with a very lame excuse from him, he never came around again.\r
The prices were so unreasonalbe!\r

During my visit to Seattle, we decided we had to go up the space needle but it is definitely pricey. I think it was $14 a person just to go up. However, if you eat at the Sky City restaurant, then your elevator ride to the top is complimentary. The servers are really attentive here, of course. And they come around with the bread - there were about 4 different flavors and they were really good.

Also, the restaurant spins so you get a great view of the city. Also, if you fill out the survey you get a free lunar orbiter dessert which is an exploding ice cream that comes to your table. A must try!

This was a short but interesting sight. The views from the top were beautiful if you like to see cities. I was more impressed with Mt. Rainier. I thought it was kind of expensive, even with a military discount and would not feel the need to go again.

Anyone visiting Seattle really should go up in the Space Needle. It used to be pretty cheap, but prices have continually gone up and now it can be a bit spendy. Still, its a fun thing to do and to say you've done. The Space Needle is the biggest landmark in Seattle, so obviously it can get busy during tourist season, so try to go on weekdays or a different season that summer. You'll love the view and the restaurant in the middle is awesome!

I enjoyed my trip to the top of the Space Needle. Using the CityPass, I had a reduced rate to the top. I went during the weekend, so the line was long but the wait went quickly. Once on the observation deck, the views were beautiful but once that was over I was ready to go back down. I did not spend much time up there, I took scenic pictures, enjoyed the view and then went back down to the store. They do take pictures of you while you are getting ready to go to the top, but they do cost you. Also, if you have reservations at the restaurant you can go to the observation deck for free.

For anyone who didn't go there, I would suggest you to have a visit. Yet one time is enough. They offer you a free picture which you can pick it up after your visit and you can enjoy the scene. If you ever went to the CN tower in Toronto, This one is just like a small dessert after a big meal.

I went to the Space Needle observation deck to check out the city views after dark, but ended up learning quite a bit about the city and the surrounding area. The admission was $13, and there are $2 coupons available (at least seasonally). You get to go to the top in a glass elevator, which is pretty cool. At the top there is an observation deck that allows you to see the city, but there are also a number of stands that tell you different things about city history, surrounding mountains, wild life, etc. Several things are done as scavenger hunt, where you have to read something, figure something out, get directions to read the next thing, etc. I actually spend a couple of hours walking around and reading various things besides taking pictures. I think the visit to the top is a must for any family (or a single person for that matter).

PROS: Awesome views, plenty of reading/learning material
CONS: Don't go if you are afraid of heights.

Everything about this restaraunt is done perfectly. The decor, the mood, every seat is the best seat in the house. The view is always different because the restaraunt rotates around the needle. They accomodated all of our requests with a smile. They seemed genuinly concerned about how things were and if anything needed changing, which it didn't, it was perfect! They helped with our wine selection and we were able to sample different wines for free untill we decided on one. We had a wonderful night but the bill was massive...close to $200 after tax and tip.

When it seems like Seattle has the potential for a much more impressive skyline, the Space Needle feels like a let down when you see its short size compared to other downtown buildings, or the nearby hill in Queen Anne. Regardless, the shape is quite distinctive, and the Seattle Center grounds help make up for the Space Needles lack of excitement during the year.

The Space Needle Restaurant has great food and an even greater view. You buy tickets to ride the elevator to the observatory platform and that's great but the restaurant is a must for the full experience. It isn't cheap but the food really is first class. It's more for adults and young adults, than children. I just don't think they would be as interested.

The main thing about this restaurant is the 360 degree view of Seattle. The best time to go is when the sun is setting. That way you see Seattle in the sunlight, then you see it lit up at night. The food is amazing and the servers are great because they are used to entertaining the out of towners.
Parking is valet or you can park somewhere around the space needle.

PROS: Great views! Wonderful service.

Sky City is an upscale revolving restaurant at the Space Needle. The meal can be a little pricey - there is a $25 per person minimum, but the cheapest entree is $29, and when you add in appetizers, drinks, and/or dessert, it can add up. However, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the city, attentive staff, and delicious food! Plus, your entry to the observation deck is included in your dinner, so you can go upstairs and do the tourist thing afterwards. I've done this a few times when friends come to visit and they have always loved it.

PROS: valet parking, great service and food
CONS: pricey, not good for cloudy/rainy days
