We stayed in one of the kitchenetts for 3 weeks while doing business in canada the price was about 1/2 the cost of similar motels in canada, the room was recently reno'd and was excellent and fully equipped with stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, with lots of dishes, pots and pans. The owner/managers were really friendly and helpful. Oroville Washington, is located about 5 miles from the USA/Canadian boarder on the south side of Osoyoos Lake, the town has an excellent park with beaches the lake is wonderful for swimming and boating, Oroville also has a good 9 hole golf course on the river wonderful views. We will recommend the Camaray to our friends and family.

I was very pleased with my room. It was a great value for the price. I appreciated having a microwave and refrigerator as well. The staff were wonderful...very accommodating. I'll definitely stay there again when I'm up that way.

I flew cross country to Spokane on 6/15/2011, and then had a 3+ hour drive to Oroville. I was delighted with my spotless room. I judge hotel/motel rooms by cleanliness, towels, mattress, and the quietness. This room passes on all requirements. I had an extremely restful night! The towels were of better quality than those at a Quality Inn in downtown Spokane where I ended my Washington visit. I definitely would stay here again. Sandy was very helpful and very nice. Loved my stay!

Most all of the reviews are BEFORE my wife and I became managers (November, 2010). Since then we have renovated all the rooms to one degree or another, replaced the old furniture, and added new services. Please, pay attention to only those reviews since November, 2010

My wife and I are the new managers of the Oroville Motel as of November 1, 2010. We are working daily to make improvements to rooms and service. Check out our website at ororvillemotel period com.

We just returned from a stay at the Camaray. It is under new management as of Nov 1st and the new managers are ready to get this place in shape. Give it another try and you may be surprised. It needs lots of work but our room was clean and most everything worked. It even had newer bedspreads. Rm #103-request it.

This place is an absolute DUMP!!! We went into the office and the carpets are all stained and look horrible. It smelled like cat pee and could use a paint job very soon. That is a horrible first impression. The outside of the building is falling apart and in some places falling off!! The rooms are unsanitary. The ceilings have water stains on them. We tried 5 or 6 different rooms and settled on the on with the least amount of stains on the carpet. I would not go barefooted at all. The linens are old and gross. The pillows are old and stained (gross), The beds had huge pee stains on them, they were trying to cover them up with bed matts, OMG dissgusting!!!! The bathrooms are gross, the toilett and tub had nasty satins on them. The shower leaked and had mold growing from it. People lets work on getting this place SHUT DOWN!!!!! Someone in the community needs to let the health inspector know whats going on there!! WHAT A DUMP!!!!

I have stayed here a couple of times now. It is clearly not the Hilton, but it is very cheap and clean. The couple that runs the motel is unbelievably friendly and have clearly done the best they can with what the Canadian owner gave them to work with. They were very cooperative and willing to help in any way possible. The place is clearly older, however it was clean and convenient. The location is in the heart of town and has a great restaurant right across the street. Through and through this motel is not the best place for a honeymoon by any means, but the staff is great, the rooms are cheap, and I have never had any problems with the cleanliness of my rooms.

I had very low expectations anyway, but this place is one to avoid at all cost! Smelly, loud, unfriendly, possibly dangerous (also had loud partiers on both sides with a possible visit from police), depressing, dark and dirty. The tv worked, lights did not. Please don't allow them to stay in business...it's bad for the town, not beneficial at all.

This motel was right in the main part of the town of Oroville, WA. About 4 miles from the Canadian border. It was very old but basically what we expected for what we paid. Less than $50 a night. We just needed a room with a shower and bed so it did the job. The bed was a Queen, low to the ground, kinda hard. I recommend bringing your own pillows and blankets. The ones they had were very old and thin and God only knows the last time they were washed. We were very glad that we brought our own. Also, the towels seemed very old and hard. Small too. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. It wobbled. The shower and bathroom could have been cleaner. Things needed to be fixed up, such as the lamp and closet areas. The plus was there was a mini fridge and a microwave in our room. So like I said, it was ok for what we paid. However, if you are planning to arrive after the office closes at 6 call and let them know. Otherwise you might be outside pounding on the door until they hear you and come and unlock it. Oh, and obviously it had no wireless internet. And even though our room was "non-smoking" it still had the smell of smoke. The office area was trashy. Half messy office, half living room from the people that live there and run the motel. Pretty Ghetto.

Office doors locked at 6 p.m., literally yelled at for knocking to get checked in for a pre-reserved room.
Grime everywhere, lights that don't work, a party that got busted by the cops at 2 a.m., water stains in the roof, filthy, kids toys all over office, ghetto, ghetto, ghetto. Someone open something else and give us an option!

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

The Camaray Motel looks like an old Travel Lodge or Motel 6. It is obvious that it has seen better days, but then if you are in need of a bed for the night this is one of the very few choices you have in Oroville.

The rooms are large with either a single queen bed or two queen beds, a small bathroom, a small refrigerator, TV with HBO, and not much else. The furnishings look to be from the 1960's, and the bed linens and towels are also dated.

The Camaray Motel is pet friendly and smoker friendly. If you hate the smell of a smoky room, ask for one of their few non-smoker rooms. There is an old outdoor pool available, but it hasn't seen much action in the last twenty years.

The absolute best thing about the Camaray Motel is that it is within easy walking distance of the Hometown Pizza restaurant. The Hometown makes THE best italian food on the planet. They also serve beer and wine, including a selection of local wines. They also do chocolates and cheesecakes.
