The Crabpot was a fun place for the whole family. The food is fresh and the atmosphere is well suited for this type of venue. We especially loved the shrimp, crab, sausage, corn and potato feast for the whole family. Get there early to beat the lunch or dinner rush.

Offers a variety of seafood dishes (and more!). When you order the pot they put brown paper on the table. They bring you a pot full of crab, mussels, clams, potatos, sausage, and corn and encourage you to eat with your hands direclty from the table.

My fiance and I drove to seattle for a weekend get-away. After bouncing around Pike Place Market for an afternoon, Naturally, our stomach's grew hungary. We asked several ppl about the best place's to eat in town and never heard the same restaurant twice. So we decided to walk along the waterfront to look for a good seafood restaurant.

Thats where we notices an open grill restaraunt that served steamed oysters.. yummmmm! well that wasnt enough so after hearing about a place called "the Crab Pot" we decided to try it out... BEST EVER I SAY!!!!!!!!! We are both huge seafood lovers so when we ordered our meals and Carona's and the food was dumped onto our table, we looked at each other and felt like we were in seafood heaven..lol..

Everything was great, the atmosphear, the waitresses, and especially the FOOD.

If you love seafood and great ppl then go to the CRAB POT..
You'll Love it!!!!!!!!!

PROS: great food, atmosphear, and service..
CONS: none

I heard about this restaurant from a commercial and they said that they bring the pot of seafood to your table and no utensils except for a mallot and crab crackers. Not even plates!

We went there just for the seafood feast and enjoyed the whole mix of dungeness and snow crab, shrimp, steamed clams and mussels, andouille sausage, corn on the cob and red potatoes. Just make sure that you eat quickly because there isn't a way to keep the food heated once it's been poured onto the table. There's no runny sauces since the seafood is steamed with spices. They give you a pot to throw all the empty shells in.

The seafood was fresh and it was a lot of fun digging through the pile of food. It's not unreasonably priced since most seafood is expensive.

We had a couple of starters, but the main feast was extremely filling. We had mozzarella sticks and chips and salsa. They were good nothing amazing to report. We were really there for their speciality. They have different "feasts" and get more expensive per person as they add more types of seafood to the pot.

It's a big restaurant, but a make reservation cause it gets busy for dinner and especially on the weekends. Be sure to make it on time for your reservation or they'll give it away. Parking is free.

They also have a location in Seattle, but we haven't been there. They're menu is huge and if you don't want their speciality cause you don't want to get your hands dirty then you can pick something else that IS plated!

Despite what Kittynana has to say, when I brought a large group to this location of the Crab Pot, we have excellent service, attentive staff and a great time all around! The food was nice and hot and stayed that way thru the meal, the drinks were perfect, and best of all, the server was attentive and thought ahead to our needs but was not assuming or annoying...the best of all worlds. Con: The directions that I got offline were difficult to follow and I got turned around once but that is not the fault of the restaurant!
Kids will love it because they can hit the food, it is a finger place and they give you bibs...kids at heart will love it for all the same reasons plus their moderatly priced drinks, who could ask for a better place for a fun night out?

A group of 6 of my co-workers went here for lunch. We arrived at 11:30 and nobody was there. The table we were seated at was dirty and the person who seated us didn't even take the time to clean it. We had to wait a long time for our food. Just as were were about to say something the food arrived at 12:20! Everyone complained that their food was cold. My veggies were like ice and my coconut shrimp was luke warm. My other co-workers fish and chips were cold, the fish tacos were cold and the beans that came with them were not warm at all. The onion rings were cold, the other shrimp dish was cold. Why the food was cold after waiting for 50 minutes is beyond me. The manager did apologize and gave us a gift certificate for the amount we spent. Not impressed.

This place is very casual and fun. Be a kid and eat with your hands if you have to. Food is good, so are wine and beer. Just relax and enjoy. And by the way - it is a good value, if you go to Ivar's you will get just 3 pieces of deep fried fish for $6. So $22 for their "Pacific Clambake" with all the goodies is a steal. Here it is fresh and variety is great. Also, go to Bellevue location. It is newer and better looking.
P.S. Can't argue with "knowitall" below , I do not know and don't want to know how his/her grandmother's skin looks and tastes.

That just about sums it up.. and perhaps "Value"! More bang for your hard earned buck then most Seafood places with the pretension or over-charged under-portioned food! There are the smaller places, more fast food places, which have the same prices, without the choices of this place. I have hosted dinner parties in their banquet room, and had had excellent service as well as quiet dinners with the bib and hammer! All-in-all, a good value, beautiful location on the man-made lake and if you like Seafood. well you should find this place a Whale of the Deal Ishmael

Pros: Inexpensive, Tasty, Friendly

If you dont mind eating mostly with your hands and making a big mess, this is the place to be. Food ranges from acceptable to great, and service is decent. Kids are pretty comfortable in this laid back establishment. Portions are good on meals, and HUGE at dessert (hint: plan to share). This place is always an experience.

Went to the Bellevue location for lunch. Food was cold, corn resembled my grandma's skin after being in the sun all day and was way overcooked. Overall, it was overpriced and bland. Will not go back.
