The property is under new ownership but still has the same great people in the office. They have pest control and bait boxes throughout the facility. The new management has step up a lot of new improvements such as additional security

Imagine my surprise when I walk in to rent a storage unit after work today to encounter the most bitter and hideous human person ever! I said hi, I'm here to rent a storage unit. She said, it's 10 minutes to 6! Me:is that a problem? Her:

This is the WORST place to rent from, HORRIBLE service! My father has rented from these guys for years and all of a sudden there were rats in our unit. These guys claim that they are pest controlled and 2 boxes OUTSIDE of the units don

Normally I don't write reviews. The main reason is that (like most humans) I speak most strongly when I'm really mad but is really MY OWN DAMN FAULT! We tend to only yell when we're yelling something that isn't true and sometimes I am wrong ... just as JHARRELL is WRONG!!!\n\nFor my part, I've rented at Pantec several times over the last 20-years Even taking into account that the staff has changed over this time, the worst thing I can say about them is that they treat the site's security and safety like a bunch of pit-bulls. For example, on one occasion my storage boxes led them to believe that I was storing dangerous in my unit. They weren't prying, they simply noticed the printed labels on the recycled boxes I was using ... and they were less-than-flexible until they we're convinced I wasn't putting other customers at risk. All in all, not necessarily a bad thing for a storage place!\n\nIn my experience, if you even come CLOSE to following the rules, the Pantec staff is more-than-fair, friendly and flexible. Aside from the security and safety ""obsession"", one has to really PUSH the staff to get them to ""fold the arms and stand in the door."" So from personal experience WHATEVER JHARREL DID, HE/SHE MUST HAVE DONE IT REALLY BADLY AND REALLY REPEATEDLY.

RE: letter written July,2008 by Jennifer Harrell and her husband. As new managers of Pantec Mini Storage when this was pointed out to me I decided to do some checking into the old notes.\r\n\r\nFirst of all, we are very sorry this happened! But reading the notes some things have come to mind.\r\n\r\nPantec Mini Storage is extremely customer oriented. It is now and has been our policy to resolve any and all customer oriented problems when possible.\r\nMy husband Bill and I have worked here for over 9 years as week end staff and filled in when we were needed. We took over as managers when the last manager retired a month ago.I wanted to know what if anything could have been done so the Harell's could have been happier with the outcome of their stay at pantec.\r\n\r\nI Found out they had a unit here for 11 months, 8 of those months they were late with their payment, and they had let the rent go long enough to be sent a pre lien notice. \r\n\r\nWhen they moved out, they told no one they were leaving, they put their lock back on the unit and left the area. How were we supposed to know they no longer had their goods in the unit? Mrs. Harrell called 11 days later to tell us they no longer needed the unit. It states in the contract they signed at move in, you must give 20 days notice before moving out. The manager at the time did charge $10.00 (standard rate) for cutting the lock and (standard proceedure) charged a full months rent because they were over 10 days late by the time they called.\r\n\r\nGranted, things could have been handled differently by both parties.\r\nTENANT COULD HAVE: Given notice, even if they had told us the day they moved out, it certainly would have solved one problem. Even taking the lock with them would have indicated to employees they had moved out.\r\nMANAGEMENT COULD HAVE: Cut the lock as a courtsey. Just charged for the 11 days it was still in the Harrell's name, and not the whole month.\r\nBoth parties could have given a little and parted on good terms.\r\n\r\nThat is both sides of the incident as I see it. You can decide for yourself .\r\n\r\nIf you are looking to store your vehicle, RV, Boat or household goods, we will be happy to work with you.\r\nWe have a great staff and a secure site, so call us or come on out and ""decide for yourself!"" Thank you for reading this.\r\n\r\nPantec Staff, Bill, Lin, Ed and Dave

NEVER RENT FROM THIS STORAGE PLACE. I have several reasons why you should never rent from this storage facility. First, if you care about customer service, and/or being treated right then be aware you will not get that here. The OLD woman who manages it (the owner evidentially lives in Canada, and clearly does not want to or care to monitor how she is doing) was so rude to both me and my husband, she talked down to me, like I was completely stupid and did the same to my husband. Second, we live across country in PA and when we decided we wanted to cancel they charged us $10 to CUT THE LOCK FOR US. There was no way for us to FLY there and cut it off ourselves and they wouldn't just practice good service and do it for us, we have never been late on a payment and still they wouldn't do it for us as a courtesy service. Third, they completely scammed us and made us pay a full months rent when we called to cancel on the 11th of the month. She told me there was nothing she could do about it, it was company policy, I even figured out the pro-rated amount FOR her and she said no, and THEN let me know if I didn't pay what she said I had to pay right then and there, then she just wouldn't send the cancellation and I would continue to have possession of the storage unit and have to keep paying. I asked to talk to the owner and that is when I learned he lives in Canada. She continued to try to explain herself and why it wasn't pro-rated to the point where she had me completely confused, not surprised I'm sure that was her goal. So in conclusion, I have never been treated so poorly and scammed so badly then I did today with Pantec Mini-Storage.
