I would not recommend this store to anyone. My best friend purchased her wedding dress here and had a terrible experience. The manager was rude and spoke to my friend in a totally inappropriate manner. In addition, she unexpectedly walked in on her while she was undressing in order to tell the seamstress she had yet another (unhappy) customer. The seamstress was totally incompetent. My friend had 6 fittings and her dress still wasn't properly altered. At one fitting I had to point out a seam that was totally undone. My friend ended up having to take the dress b/c the wedding was in a few days. The dress may not have been perfect but she looked absolutely gorgeous anyway!
Don't waste your time or money at Demetrios unless you don't mind being treated like dirt.

I called in advance to ask about their selection of dresses for little girls. I told them the size I was looking for and they told me they had seven available.
When my daughter and I got there, all of the dresses available were in the dressing room waiting for me. They treated my daughter like a little lady and made her feel very special. They didn't even flinch when she was trying on their $300 tiaras.
The selection is awesome and the space is beautiful. I will definitely go back.

My entire wedding party and I had a wonderful experience at Brides by Demetrios! This was the third store we visited and they had by far the most extensive selection of both wedding and bridesmaid dresses out of the three. Right when I walked in the store, my mom and I found so many beautiful dresses that it was hard to choose!
I was always worried that I would look awful in a wedding dress because I'm about 60 pounds more overweight than I ever would have hoped to be.. However, the sales staff there was incredible at helping me find a syle of dress that hid the larger parts that I didn't want shown and made me look gorgeous!!! I couldn't have found a more perfect dress anywhere. The girl who helped me worked with me every time I came in and I would even consider her a friend by now.
I would recommend that if you are looking for a high-quality wedding dress and some helpful customer service, then go to Brides by Demetrios in Bellevue.

I'm a bride's maid. I am writing this review so that no one will go through the pain my friend has.
When we went into look at dresses, it was the first place to look at dresses, and she was trying on LOTS of styles. Some of them, of course were the hideous ones you would never choose, but mostly $2000 dresses that we were serious about. We were told that if we weren't going to try on serious dresses, we should leave.
For some reason we decided to order our bride's maids dresses here. Fist off, they cost more here than ordering them from the internet. The dress is a flared knee length affair. So the most important measurement should be the bust, then the waist, and hips, well it doesn't really matter that much. When I ordered my dress, I told the lady my measurements and she said I was between an 8 and a 10. I told her to get me the eight. She said that I would probably put on some weight, and so I should order the larger size. I told her that I would not and if I did I wouldn't eat for two weeks and she should order me the 8. When the order sheet got faxed in, she had ordered me a 12. It got changed and I got an 8. It fits fine. The other bride's maids dresses are HUGE. They can put them on over their heads zipped up. No apologies, no offer to fix it. The shop just said over and over, it's the right size according to the chart. They go by the biggest measurement, the hips, even though they are professionals and should KNOW how to order dresses for different styles. They said it wasn't their fault, and we would have to pay to have the dresses altered there, at $150 apiece. The dresses only cost $200, They were DOUBLING the cost of the dresses! We called corporate and it was not easy, but after a lot of screaming we managed to get a deal where they would resize dresses ordered in the wrong size.
Another small item, I am 4'10. I told them this, my knee length dress, is full length. When I asked about this, no help. NONE. Not even an offer to see if the dress comes in plus size for children (I'm not that curvy, I can wear children's clothes). She didn't even offer that I could have the dress altered at the shop. Just that the dress comes in one length!
I do not recommend shopping here. They are rude, they are disrespectful, and they will not order you the right size dress.

When I walked in for my first appointment, there was no one in sight. After waiting a little while, I started browsing, found dresses I liked and placed them in a fitting room. Once a lady saw me trying them on, then she told me to go ahead and fit without her - that she was pretty busy. I didn't mind, since she said it politely. At the end, I scheduled another appointment so that I could bring a friend or two.
Second appointment - not horrible. They called the day I had my appointment scheduled and said that I had the appointment for the next week. Of course my card that they gave me said today! So I made them schedule me in for tomorrow - a big inconvenience for me, but what can you do. I found the dress I wanted. But had my sister help me try on dresses since the lady was helping several people at a time. Found the dress I wanted and was fitted. The fitting was pretty odd. It didn't seem like the lady knew what she was doing or even cared. Then they supposedly ordered the dress.
A few months later, getting down to the last preperations, I call to find out if the dress will be in that week, the week they promissed me. Of course not! It was not ordered! Yikes.
Finally the dress is supposed to come in. They give me a date to fit and the dress isn't there! I come back a couple days later after calling and calling to see if it is there. And it's there - but way tooooo big. I never lost weight or anything! I have been the same size for years now. Of course they charge me an arm and a leg for the alterations. And to make matters worse - there is a pen stain on the front! And they say that it has not been taken out of the plastic yet. Are other people trying on my brand new $1600 dress!?!
I didn't get the dress until the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING! And there were beads falling off when I picked it up.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS EXPERIENCE! The manager constantly lied to me, was very rude every single time I called or showed up after I already paid for the dress. And I am always told that I am too nice to people and am pretty shy. So it was NEVER warranted. I don't understand what is wrong.

Originally when I went here, it offered the best up front service I'd received at any of the stores I'd been to. Yet as soon as they had my money, the service went out the window. I received a phone call a few weeks after my dress was suppose to arrive. Thankfully I ordered it in plently of time, because they never placed the order!!! Kim was the one who helped me, and while she was nice and friendly, was completely incompetant. She forgot to place my dress order. She told me she had to have the dress overnighted from New York for my fitting that upcoming weekend. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment for my fitting, and they told me I didn't have an appointment. Despite their business card, that Kim had written on, showing my appointment. The alterationist I was scheduled with wasn't even in the country. Then the manager had the nerve to blame it on me. She was rude, disrespectful and an absolute witch. I had to reschedule my appointment for a week before my wedding. When I showed up for this appointment. There was two rips in my dress and a bunch of beads missing. I never received even an apology for my inconvenience on the first appointment or for any of the rips in my dress. It was the worst experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone despite their beautiful dresses.

I celebrated two weddings with both of my daughters this year. Our first experience with our youngest daughter was wonderful The Bellevue, Washington store was friendly and helpful. The experience with my oldest daughter just four months later has been a nightmare. The wrong dress was ordered and had to be reordered (which worked out because she had ordered her dress in plenty of time), the wrong veil was ordered and when it came in two months before the wedding, we were told she wouldn't get the correct veil until just one week before the wedding. Sure enough, it was the wrong veil too. The manager of the Bellevue, Washington store was rude, wouldn't listen, and denied, denied, denied they had made a mistake. So much for customer service. The Assistant Manager, Kim helped my daughter choose a different veil from the floor. My daughter didn't have the veil she chose for her wedding day, but at least she had a veil. Kim should be the store manager. She was kind and soft spoken, totally customer service oriented. The Manager of the store should take lessons from her. I can't believe how awful the store has become in just a few months. The Regional Manager should fire the Manager of the Bellevue store. After we had problems with them, I read reviews for Demetrios on the web and the Bellevue store's manager was mentioned more than once as being rude and inconsiderate. I agree. When we first went to the store I recommended it to everyone, I thought everyone was so helpful and the store had a great selection. Now I tell everyone who will listen to watch out. They are extremely unreliable and rude. With the exception of Kim.

Found a great dress there, as soon as I bought it every other appointment everyone was rude. I went in for three alterations appointments and paid through the nose, only to have them RUIN my dress 5 days before the wedding. The only things that had been done to my dress was the hem at the waist that was coming out, beads were falling off the dress, there was no bustle install all of which I had paid for. I spent almost $500 dollars to have them RUIN my two thousand dollar dress five days before my wedding.

I was impressed with their selection and found a lovely dress there, which I ordered months ago. So the dress arrived and I went in for my appt to get it altered - they told me I had to be there at 6:30 PM and the was the latest possible appt, so I braved traffic and made it in time. Only to find out that they were running REALLY late and they had double booked with someone else for the same time. A lady & her daughter, who originally had an appointment scheduled after me, were astonishingly called next for the fitting without one word being said to me. When I asked why, they said, "Well, this lady has to take the ferry home so we moved her ahead of you." No apologies given - not even any feeble attempts to make things better - nothing.
The sad thing is that had they have asked me if it was OK to let that lady go ahead of me, I probably would have taken the high road and given a reluctant yes. But they didn't. I had to ask to find out what happened. I wondered if it was because the lady might have spent more (probably not) or if the other lady just whined more about their lateness than I (which most likely WAS the case). I guess if I would have been a bridezilla, I would have received better treatment. The store was full of very unhappy customers and I was just one of them.
I took my dress, cancelled the alteration and my outstanding orders with them (jewelry, headpiece) and LEFT. My wedding is in one month and now I have to find someone else to alter the dress.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.
PROS: selection
CONS: rotten customer service

I bought my wedding dress from Demetrios, and I think the saleslady did my measurement incorrectly, so the dress I purchased was about two sizes too big. Even when the saleslady measured me, I asked if she measured correctly, and she said yes. When the dress arrived, it was HUGE. I should have requested that they reorder a smaller size for me, but in the end, I just had my own alterations lady downsized the dress for me.

I didn't get my gown here, but we went here for Bridesmaid's dresses and it was the best place! We went all over and Demetrious had by FAR the best selection, and larger sizes which was much appreciated by my girls.

Demetrios is a well organized shop with an excellent staff. The shop is low pressure and the people allow you to look and choose, they were all very patient. When trying on dresses they will provide undergarments, headpieces, veils, even bouquets. The girls in there were all fun and the gown selection is amazing. You can have lots of advice and recommendations or just browse. None of the bridal dresses are made before you order them so you can customize them however you'd like.
