I was referred to Shannon from a friend. I liked how flexible Shannon was because my schedule can be hectic, with me going out of town alot for work.
I told Shannon that I wanted something different with my hair. I wanted a new look, with different color and cut.
When Shannon was done, I felt like a different person. My hair looked so great!! I couldn't believe how the color of my hair made my eyes stand out. It was as if Shannon made the color match my eyes! I was impressed with the cut as well, it was sassy and I've never received so many compliments!
I would (and have) recommend Shannon for anyone who wants a different hair look or even someone just wanting to update or maintain their hairstyle.

I've heard of Gwen from so many of my friends for years but have been loyal to my hairdresser for the last 15years. I've been so unhappy with my recent cuts so I went in search of a new hairdresser. Gwen was easy to talk to, she had so much technical knowledge which made me instanly relax in her chair. Her approch was very refreshing and my cut still looks great when I do it myself. The reviews on here are very accurate; she has a spunky personality which was fun. I just tried booking my last appointment online and it was very quick and convenient since the salon is closed.

Because of my job I travel a lot and I have tried people for waxing Maryam is hands down, THE BEST ESTHETICIAN.. She delivers a nearly pain-less, perfect Brazilian in no time at all.

Maryam has been my esthetician for almost 3 years,i was introduce to her by my Friend. She is THE BEST person to go for any kind of waxing spacially best for bikini waxing.Super super professional, the BEST waxing I have ever had . I'm delighted that Lori Lunsmann is now with the salon. I have been a client of Lori's for years. She's so good at what she does. Lori listens to me and as a team, we create a hair style. She is always open for feedback and eager to improve. When you sit in her chair, her focus is !00% on me. Lori is creative and taylors the style to me.

Not an hour in my retail day goes by that I don't hear "who cuts your hair"? "Where does she work"?
I've been a customer of Lori's for many years, and have enjoyed the style and flair she's created for me.
I am fussy being a retired hairdresser myself!
I feel like a "Queen" every time I leave her chair!

Lori is the only stylist who can cut my hair without taking too much off, and she can make it look like I have 3 times the hair that I really have! Her cuts are superb and she always colors my hair just the way I like it. I won't go to anyone else!! She is always on time and professional!

This is my first time on CitySearch and I am so happy there is a place to tell people how happy I am! Ive been having a hard time finding a stylist I liked. It was my first time at Salon JBU and a friend refered me to Megan. She's young, trendy and very professional. I absolutely loved what she did with my hair. She gave me a great color and a cut that is so easy to work with! I will be telling all of my friends about Megan and will be going back!! Thanks Megan!

I had been growing out my short cut for 5 months and was at the end of my rope. My previous stylist is retiring so I took my time finding someone new. I found Gwen online, she gets rave reviews. I thought I would give her a try and am so glad I did. I love that I can schedule an appointment online. In 30 minutes she did a consult, shampoo, cut and style. She really listened to me and I came out with exactly what I had in mind. I could not be more pleased. The salon is nicely furnished and not at all pretentious. Gwen is an artist and I highly recommend her.

Carrie is a wonderful stylist! She has been doing my color and cuts for the past 10 years. She always listens to what I want, makes suggestions when asked and does a terrific job! She is very professional and keeps up to date on the latest products/styles. In addition, she is such a nice person....and a hoot!

I went to salon JBU to see Tina after my friend had her color done with her... she exceeded my expectations a lot. Everything was GREAT, color and cut. She listens but also gives her own advice on how to make you look your best. ! I had several people comment about my new hair , I have never been happier with my hair!

I was going to the same stylist for a long time and was ready for a change! I found Megan at Salon JBU and had a cut and color done. I couldnt have enjoyed my time with her more. She was very honest and her opinion was very educated. She knew right away what I meant and how I felt about my hair. I felt so calm and comfortable with her and I knew she would point me in the right direction. This is the best my hair has looked in years! I can actually say I love my hair now thanks for Megan.

Maryam has been my esthetician for almost 3 years so I have followed her around. She is AMAZING to say the least. Super professional, the BEST waxing I have ever had (trust me, I lived all over the world so I have had a few misfortunes when it comes to waxing and haircuts for that matter). She is also super quick and does a great job with threading.
She introduced me to Peter and I got the BEST haircut of my life. He is really amazing and does what suits the face. Most importantly, his haircut makes it easy to style your own hair. I am horrible at that.
So what's better than getting two beautifying services in 1 perfect place!

Maryam knows what she is doing and always making sure that the job is done perfectly, She makes you feel totally at ease and it really doesn't hurt as much as you would think. I recommend her to everyone I know.I wouldn't go see anyone else for my waxings .she is simply the best!!!!!

If you want a perfect haircut GO SEE PETER. He has been cutting my hair for the past 2 years. I have never had so many strangers ask me who cuts my hair as I have since Peter has been cutting it. You won't be disappointed. he listens and the grow out is great which is a pleasure so my hair always looks great .

My Brazilian and leg wax with Maryam at Salon JBU was the best by far I was nervous to get a brazilian wax after a super painful experience several years back, but I decided it i will give it try one more time and scheduled an appointment with Maryam after reading these reviews . I couldnt believe how much less painful and how quick the experience was compared to my previous ones. it feels good to have someone to go to that makes this uncomfortable experience much easier to bear! .I will go back to her for sure. I am new in the Bellevue area and I wanted to get haircut and color I was referred to peter at Salon JBU from a friend. I was impressed at how fast he was and how great my hair turned out! I liked how Peter gave me information on how to keep my hair looking good. I really felt that he cared enough to make sure I look my best. I will always refer him to anyone who asks about my hair!

I recently had my hair styled by Shannon at Jbu and she was amazing. Not only was she very friendly and helpful, but she was very in touch with what I wanted (even if I didn't know what it was!). Originally I just wanted some plain highlights but she recommended a darker, more natural highlight with a complimenting low-light that makes my skin glow. . I will definitely be back again!

I moved to the Seattle area with my husband a while back and have been all over the town trying to find a good Esthetician. In most parts I had been unsuccessful until I met Maryam at the JBU salon. Gosh , is she extraordinary or what? I went in for a quick eyebrow wax but she did such a nice job that I ended up getting a Bikini wax and a facial too. She has a magic touch and provides excellent services . I'm so looking forward to my next appointment with Maryam.

Maryam is the most wonderful esthetician ever. I took my daughter for her first facial wax. she was really scared but Maryam was very patient and gently waxed her eyebrows , forehead and upper lips . My daughter didn't even feel the pain and was smiling the whole time. I'm glad we found Maryam. I'm telling all my friends about her.

I couldn?t get a better service anywhere else. I went to JBU in Bellevue and saw Maryam for a back wax and back treatment .She is really good and very skillful. Very impressive. I have been to other places that are also good but Maryam is by far the greatest. The quality of her work and her cheerful and professional personality is rare to find.

I was really scared of getting a Bikini Wax specially because I'm new in Seattle area. i read about Maryam on city search and even though i was skeptical about the reviews on City Serach i went to see her and am extremely happy that i did. she is gentle,clean, professional and has a great sense of humer. I had a really good Brazilian Bikini wax and it didn't hurt nearly as much as i thought. she is fast and efficient . THANK YOU Maryam ..You are the BEST.

I just met Maryam last week for body waxing . It was the first time i met her and was very impressed by her character and high quality services. She is a delightful person and does the best waxing service I have ever had. She treats you as a very special person from the moment you walk in the salon and pays attention to what you have in mind for your services. Maryam cares a lot about the quality of her work and comfort of the client. The JBU salon is also a very nice and the ambiance is very calming.

I am very happy that i met Maryam and will sure go back to see her again soon.

I found Gwendolyn through the web at a different site and I saw same reviews there as on CitySearch. She's pretty popular... I thought she'd be stuck up and full of herself but if she could give me a decent cut I would sit through it. It was a surprise to find her nice and easy going and younger that I thought. I got one of the best haircuts I've had since my last hairdresser retired. Thought I should write a review since that's how I found her. I have curly hair but it's fine. Hope that helps.

I saw Carrie for an overall color and highlights and she tried three times to get the right contrast between the base color and the highlights. Each time it got worse; now the base color is almost black and I look like someone rubbed charcoal in my hair. It's the worst hair coloring job I ever gotten; I had to go to another salon to try to remedy the situation, but it will be a while before my haircolor is back to where it should be. I'm glad others are so excited about the results they got, but I will never recommend this salon to anyone!!

I got Gwendolyn's name from my co-workers and she gave me the best haircut I've had since moving to the East side eight years ago. I went in, sat down and left it all up to her. She designed a style that suits my crazy lifestyle, personality and face shape. It's the first time in a long time I left the salon looking good and being able to go home and recreating the look again. She did run a little late so i might allow a little more time next time just in case but well worth the wait!

I've heard of Gwendolyn for years from friends and neighbors but resisted going just because I love everyones hair but I have very difficult hair and very different from theirs. It's limp and fine and I've lived with one bad haircut after another for years. Finally a cut I can style and it's lasted longer than any haircut I've had. I only wish listened to my friends sooner.

Maryam has the BEST BIKINI WAX services in the world. I have super sensitive skin and very low pain tolerance but she does the waxing so fast and in such delicate manner that I don?t even feel the pain .... its over before I know it. I recommend Maryam to all my friends and coworkers and they have all been telling me how wonderful she is. If you are ever considering a bikini - or any wax - Maryam is the best to go to. If there is any woman out there who was shy about getting a bikini wax, it WAS me.....with emphasis on the past tense WAS.... MARYAM is without hesitation the BEST waxer this side of the Rockies!!! She is warm, friendly, caring and not at all impressed with your SHYNESS. I am a 25 year veteran in the beauty industry and have experienced all kinds of estiticians..... I had been looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed in Bellevue. i was not happy with an results until I walked into Salon JBU. I had read the city search posts about Maryum and was expecting the best. Luckily thats what I got. Maryum was professional, attentive and I have gotten numerous compliments on the shape of my eye brows since seeing her. I will definitely be going back!!
