The facility is somewhat adequate, but certainly not for the price. One should expect a lot more for what you pay. And then they have the audacity to charge an extra "drop in fee" to use the gym in Sedro Woolley. If I didn't have so long

Have never seen any equipment tagged as broken... I am returning to competitive power-lifting and am very satisfied with the staff and equipment at RHC Eastside. My ony complaint is they close at 8PM on Friday. I'm looking forward to

Tried this club out on with some coupons my friend gave me and think I'll stay at my current club. First reviewer hit the mark with the unusable equipment.

I have been with this club for the past 10 months, and I must say it has been nothing but a good experience. They had a remodel done in the spring of 2010 and have totally redesigned the layout for the better.

They have updated equipment, (benches, flat screens, etc.) and have given the place quite a face-lift. It's clean, & comfortable to work-out in. They offer several free classes, and discounted rates to members for the more "Extreme" classes. The staff is friendly, and the members seem to be quite happy, thanks to their management.

I have made a few friends there (Though I usually don't chit-chat when I work out often) and it's good to see them when I visit. Most of the time people keep to themselves, but hey, that's how it is when you workout, this isn't a social club, it's a fitness center.

Even though they are closed on Sundays, you can go to their Mount Vernon location at no cost and enjoy the use of their indoor pool. Even though I rarely use that benefit, it's good to know they have facilities open every day of the week.

Great facility in a great town!

Let me start off by saying that I have never had a bad experience at this establishment. I have always felt welcomed and the facilities are amazing.

Riverside Health Club is always looking for ways to stay relevant and stay in tune with

I just completed the 3 month RX program here. I am so impressed with the program, the incredible trainers, and my fellow gym members who are so encouraging. I look forward to coming everyday, and I am greeted by the most fabulous staff,

First off, I regard the Gym membership business model to be an outdated one. Charging people for a service, even when they're not using it seems disatrous from a customer service standpoint.

The Sedro Woolley Riverside Health Club smells funny to begin with, and the equipment is often left unmaintained (for days at a time), so it was always a little disappointing for me to show up for a workout and find signs saying I couldn't use the equipment (for days at a time). If I choose to start another membership I will choose Urban Fitness or the Y. Both cost less and my past experiences with each have been much more pleasant and my workouts more satisfactory.

I've been paying for the privilege of saying I had a membership with Riverside for a couple of years now, and after not being able to use the club for 3 months and not foreseeing the opportunity anytime soon I took the step of cancelling my membership at the Riverside Health facility in Sedro Woolley.

Unfortunately for me I came in to cancel on the 28th of the month to cancel so they're going to charge me for the month of October as well. If you don't cancel before the 25th of the month, you WILL be charged for an extra month.

It was suggested that I call the General Manager (Esther) to inquire about the extra charges, so I did. She said the only thing should could do was work with me to find time in my schedule to frequent the gym. I don't know what part of 'my schedule is blistering at this point' she missed, but she didn't really seem to be too concerned about anything but keeping my $42.20 auto payment active.

Being in the Customer Service business myself, I am aware that if someone is not happy with the results and the cost to the business is relatively nil, it's the best practive to go the extra mile to satisfy that customer even if I know they won't be a customer with my business any longer.

What I don't want is for that customer to go on a PR campaign against my business. Catch my drift, Esther. Woolley is a small town, and reputations are at a premium. You must not care much about the gym you manage.

See, all I can remember now is how your facility didn't live up to my expectations. The many times I came in to the facility to find machines in a state of unusability. The everpresent stench of an unfiltered workout environment ...

Maybe Mt. Vernon isn't as bad. Maybe all the revenue goes to keeping up the Mt. Vernon facility. What I do know is that Riverside in both Sedro and Mt. Vernon charge a lot more than neighboring facilities with the same or more to offer. Urban Fitness dues are 40% less that the Sedro Riverside dues and the environment is much more pleasant.

Customer Service doesn't always mean sticking to the rules (policies), it means knowing how to satisfy your community and the bottom line at the same time.

Good job Esther. Hope your boss is proud.

I went to the Riverside Health Club in Mount Vernon and was very impressed. The facility was beautiful (and clean!), the staff were friendly, and it's nearly impossible to be bored there...so much to do! I went for a run, did some weights, and ended with a swim. Well worth the cost. Planning to join this week.

I like this place because it has a pool the main problem is they want to much money for a membership. Most of the people who go there are young vs. other fitness center who seem to have more varity of clients.
