Better experience than some

There are polar opposite reviews for this restaurant - my experience was lunch, and while the menu was extremely pricey, the menu selection is rarely found. They did seem to be understaffed, but at the same time the restaurant was very crowded with customers, which usually indicates good opinions and experiences. It is refreshing to have another cuisine option in the area, but at the prices they do charge, not as frequently as I might like. A stop on a sightseeing visit to downtown, or after visiting the art museum across the street, would be a good occasion.

If you're looking for tasty Polynesian cuisine or just a mai tai drink in remembrance of your last Hawaiian vacation, look no further than The Islander. Conveniently located at the end of Union Street (there is a parking garage directly across from its entrance), The Islander offers terrific zombies, kamikazis and other concoctions guaranteed to remind you of tropical adventures. If the weather is nice, there's a great outdoor patio overlooking Elliott Bay...perfect for private functions, too!
PROS: Great place for meeting after work!
