After learning that my son tried ""reinstalling windows"" to fix a virus infection he had gotten on our family computer I went into a state of panic.\r\nThis kid knows just about as much about computers as I do - next to nothing.\r\nSure enough, when I looked at the computer later that day the internet wasnt working and it would only boot up half of the time. I called EasyTech to get some help with my situation.\r\n\r\n\tIt was difficult, first, to get them to answer the phone and sencond, to talk to me patiently and explain the situation in language I could understand. I felt overwhelmed with technobabble that I did not understand and felt that I was being talked down to about the situation.\r\n\r\nIm sorry im not a computer expert - I was explaining the situation the best I knew how - the internet wasnt working and it was having trouble starting at all! I arranged for one of their technicians to come to the house to check it out.\r\n\r\n\tLong story short, the guy who came to assess the situation was very knowledgable but was late and made fun of my son for having tried to reinstall windows. Not something you'd expect from such a large company that supposedly hired qualified, intelligent and helpful technicians.\r\n\r\n\tThe technician was able to switch everything back with some kind of disc, after about two hours. But, not only was he rude, but I was charged an incredulous amount of money for something the tech described as ""a quick fix"".\r\n\r\n\tAfter he left I got online to check reviews for the company only to learn that plenty of people have had similar run ins with this type of service (I learned I should be thankful the guy even showed up at all, actually). Upon further reading, I found a comapny called Secure Remote Support which offers the same types of service as EasyTech and called them out of curiosity to see what they would hve charged for the same repairs. I was blown away when they quoted a fraction of the price of the company i'd just paid big bucks to. (You live you learn, right?)\r\n\r\n\tI'm glad I've got my computer working. Sure, It cost a lot and I had to deal with the attitude of a smart mouth kid, but my computer WAS fixed. EasyTech has been a reliable company for a few things but I assure you, never again will I turn to them for computer repairs unless it's a last resort. Since this incident, I've called on Secure Remote Support twice (Once for spyware removal, and once to recover some data I'd lost when the other tech reinstalled everything) and they always deliver top quality service. They even offered me a promotion on optimization that I took advantage of. I like going to a company that values their customers and takes pride in the work they do, and Im glad I've finally found that company.

When my computer got that famous ""blue screen of death"", I panicked.\r\nI thought that it was the end of my computer. I was devistated.\r\nAll my pictures, documents, music files.... everything was on that computer.\r\nI thought they were all gone for good and I was heartbroken.\r\nThen I came actoss a flyer for Staples' Easy Tech, and decided I didnt have much to lose giving them a shot to get my computer back up and running - or at the very least to somehow just salvage my files.\r\n\r\nUpon going to the store, I was pleased by the employees, they were all incredibly friendly!\r\nHowever, the quality of work preformed on my computer was so-so.\r\nThey did get past the ""blue screen of death""(or got rid of it? whatever they do) but I came to find I was still having viruses invade my machine.\r\nI had told the staff I wanted to be protected from future problems, and thats not what I recieved.\r\nI was upset and lost my faith in this company.\r\n\r\nWhen I looked on Google for another computer repair company to protect my computer, I found an ad for Secure Remote Support, which offered great rates and the technician I spoke with was very knowledgable about viruses, malware and spyware. They told me right away what they could do and were very kind and understanding of my hesitance in taking another chance with another company. \r\nThey assured me that they were dedicated to the smooth running of my computer, and my satisfaction.\r\nI purchased their virus protection and optimization package - and am happy to say my computer is operating like the day I took it out of the box.\r\n\r\nNothing against EasyTech, I just didnt feel they really cared about customer satisfaction and I experienced great service from SecureRemoteSupport right away.\r\nCheck these guys out at the very least, they really are the best.
