This pizza joint is the best! They have great, quick service and their pizza is the best pizza I've ever tasted. Yes, the lines do get a bit long after the clubs, however the wait is worth it. They have the best pesto pizza on earth! I wish they would open more chains around the Puget Sound area!

Bad Customer service
by adina F.
I had been a frequent customer of Hot Mamas pizza as it is very good. I have always had the pizza delivered with no problems until today. When I first called to order the pizza the woman who picked up the phone was short with me when asked about the price of a pizza. When she asked for my address for delivery and I tried to explain my location, which is about two blocks away, she handed the phone to someone else. When I explained my location to him he said they did not deliver here. I told him that they had delivered here and asked when they stopped and he just said they do not deliver here and hung up the phone. I called back to complain to the manager and when the phone was picked up by the same "gentleman" I heard a woman laughing loudly in the background. The manager apologized for him hanging up but did not really seem to care the way I was treated. I will not go back to that place nor recommend it to anyone. If I was the owner I would consider hiring a new staff.

This is the best corner pizza place in Seattle. They do by the slice, or just whole pizzas to be picked up also. If you have the means, i suggest you stop by and try their pesto.

This place has some kick booty pizza! If you're inthe mood for some warm cheesy goodness, head over here. It's a great place to go if you are wandering around capitol Hill hungry.
There' s little seating, just a handful of stools around window counters, but you're here to just grab a slice or two, which is how they sell pizza.
It's kind of fun to sit here and eat, because you can watch them make the pizzas behind the counter. They also deliver and have take out options.
I recommend my favorite, the House Special, which has fresh basil and tomatoes.
PROS: Very tasty thin crust pizza, great to pop in for a quick slice and a soda.
CONS: Not tons of seating area, but enough to grab a bite, but it can get crowded.

I come here once a week after classes @ Seattle Central for their infamouse Green Pizza. It's pesto and feta, and though it looks kinda scary, it's the best stuff in town. I've never been disappointed in this little pizza by the slice shop.

Best Pizza in Seattle
by BritDolan
I work on Capitol Hill, and I eat here at least once a week. You can get pizza by the slice and every type I have tried has been amazing! The crust is awesome, the toppings are fresh, and the combinations are delish! I have seen some of the staff be rude to others, but who knows what sorts of people they have to deal with day in and day out on Cap Hill (used to work on the Ave, know how bad the customers can get). Check this place out!
Pros: Super Cheap & FAST
Cons: Not Super Clean Dinning Room (not sure about the kitchen)

Drunk munchies and OPEN LATE!
by chrisnee1
Hey when you get drunk munchies from bar hopping around capitol hill you should come to hot mamas for a cheap slice of pizza. It's alright. It's not the best pizza I have had but it will really serve those cravings.
I like the pricing and I know a few people who work here so I always like to come and chill. The location is great.
Pros: cheap
Cons: .... not really any

AMAZING
by kolb0508
The Pesto pizza was so good we went twice in the same day! We were in Seattle for our honeymoon (Alaskan Cruise) and we were starving. We didn't want to go anywhere fancy, or up-ity. This was perfect. Hole-in-the-walls almost always deliver on taste, and Hot Mamma's did. We even programmed the address in our rental car's GPS so the next renter might enjoy it too! I only wish I could order it online and have it shipped in dry-ice!
Pros: Delicious, fast, great portions
Cons: Tight quarters

Just say pesto please
by buffalo43
This is the best pizza I have ever eaten in my 65 years. I have frequently driven from the eastside to have dinner at Hot Mama's with my son who lives on Capitol Hill. Hot Mama's brings us together more often.
Pros: Pizza is great and so is the price; very friendly staff
Cons: limited seating

good service, good pizza
by kimberlic
We'd been walking by Hot Mama's for months and finally decided to stop by on the way home from a show late one night. The pizza was really good, the price was right, the service was good, and the atmosphere was appealing to me. There were three no-bullshit type girls working the open kitchen and counter, all singing along to Blur, which my boyfriend loved, and we sat on some stools next to what I thought might be some homeless dudes (probably just gruff and dirty, not homeless). Anyway, these guys were cool and I liked the fact that I was forced to sit next to them, because there's only two tables. I hate how everyone hangs out alone in their little corners these days.
Pros: great place for a quick bite
Cons: must be hard to sit there when busy

Good, cheap pizza by the slice and open late
by nowa07
I've only been here a time or two to grab a slice when out socializing on Cap hill - but - it's always been good pizza. As others mentioned, it isn't somewhere to go and plan on hanging out chatting while you eat. You get your slice, you sit on a barstool, you eat it, and you go.
I've had their delivery at work once, and it was yummy as well.
Pros: cheap, by the slice, open late
Cons: bar stools, busy, average customer service

Best Pizza...
by bittergourd
The ambiance aint much but come'on... holes in the wall pizzerias are never known for their atmostphere and ambiance...
the pizza is great... and have always been served promptly... better than anything Pagliacci's can come up with... the Pesto Pizza is amazing and so is their Chicken Garlic and their Veggie...
its not a place to sit and eat really as their its a small place and seating is limited... and since its near a club/bar area, you get quite a few people who are inebriated in there...
Pros: Great Service, Fast Service
Cons: Can get crowded, Small area to dine in

Our Favorite Capitol Hill Pizza
by pitstop229
We eat at Hot Mama's at least twice a month because we love their pizza so much. It's very convenient to stop in for a couple of slices on our way out--or on our way home. Avoid the ageist, nicotine-addicted Capitol Hill "hip"-sters altogether and order a delicious pizza to go. Hot Mama's rules our tiny pizza world!
Pros: Awesome Pizza, Quick Service, Value-Priced
Cons: Ambience, Sometimes Crowded

EXCELLENT PIZZA!
by alaskangirl78
I have to say I stumbled upon Hot Mama's accidently one day and it is really delicious! They have a great selection of different types of pizza. I tried the Greek pizza and the cheese and they were both excellent! The crust is thin, but really good and the sauce is definitely homemade and doesn't taste generic like the chain pizza places. The pizza melts in your mouth. It is fabulous! The ambience could use a little improvement and there only have 8-10 barstools for seating which is the only downside. Other than the seating the pizza is excellent!

Worst Pizza Ever???
by downwithpants
We have walked by Hot Mama's numerous times and it always smells great and looks pretty good but looks can be deceiving. If you like pizza that tastes like a saltine cracker with a few weak toppings on it, then by all means, grab yourself some Hot Mama's. Our "server" didn't even throw the pizza into an oven to heat it up. Instead it was served to us lukewarm after sitting for what could have been hours and hours under a weak heating lamp. I think that this could actually be a health violation of some kind.
It was kind of fun in a weird way though, only because it isn't every day that you find the worst pizza that you've ever eaten. If you are looking for a "remember that time we ate that awful pizza" experience, then Hot Mama's is your place.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything

Hot Mama Makes Some Good Pizza
by swpstke
This is a great place to drop in for a quick slice on your way to a movie, play, concert, or class. It's centrally located and cheap. Seating gets very crowded sometimes, and often you have to wait for more than one or two types of pizza, but it's worth it. Service usually hip and snippy.
Try the green pesto pizza. It may look weird, but it's awesome.
Pros: Great pizza, Low price, Delivers
Cons: Limited seating, Blase service, Poor selection

3rd best pizza in Seattle; great for by-the-slice lunch in you're on Capitol Hill. Get the chicken and garlic or the tomato and basil if you can!
