This place is fabulous! Family owned and operated, it has a very 'comforting' feel. The treats are baked fresh daily, the coffee is gourmet brewed, the smoothies all have real fruit in them, and the ambience is quintessential Seattle - filled with local boaters and coffee aficionados. Love it, love it, love it!

I love the Purple Cow! Whether you're on your way to a sailboat race down at Shilshole or you just need a quick pick-me-up on your way to Ballard, these folks are always there with great drinks, snacks and always friendly.

It's a special place because they know all the espresso drinks, how to make them well and they take the time to find out how you want them made. Also, they carry some good snacks and make good little meals as well.

I love the fact that there are always people hanging out, reading books or the paper and it really feels like you're at the seaside when you're in the Purple Cow. It's hard to describe but this place feels like home.

PROS: Great drinks, snacks and lunches; Convinient location; Parking; Hours
CONS: Somewhat easy to forget they're there!
