I booked the Ulitmate DEWI Experience for Tuesday afternoon this week and what a treat! Aaron sat down with me and explained how the dry brushing/wrap/massage would progress; discussed what I wanted him to focus on in the massage and then followed thru with an amazing treatment. He worked on my back and feet which get beat up on a daily basis as I teach cardio fitness classes...he used lots of deep pressure and found all the knots and wracked muscles, by the time he was done I was feeling like a new person! He was personable but not too chatty, very in tune to what I needed for the day...I highly recommend Aaron and will book him for a massage the next time I'm in Seattle!

Aldera took over after Aaron was done with me and did a fabulous facial. Again, she was personable and friendly but not too chatty. My skin was glowing when she finished with me. The next time I'm in Seattle I'll be looking her up for another facial, and based on the other reviews here, probably waxing services as well.

I have been to Aldera two times for a bikini and brow wax. She does a great job, very quick and almost pain free. She knows what she is doing and works efficiently. She is also friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend going to her for waxing.

For my birthday my girlfriend got me a massage at Salon Dewi. I was extremely nervous as I had never had one before. When I finally got the courage to go in to Salon Dewi for my first massage I was greeted compassionately by the front desk girl and my to be masseuse, Dena.

Dena then sat down with me, went over what I was comfortable with, what I wanted in a massage and what would happen step by step. She made me feel extremely comfortable and worry free. She was very professional during the whole thing and I felt great during and after, no nervousness or awkwardness at all and it felt great!

Dena is perfect for the first time (or repeat) massage client especially us men who may feel insecure or uncormfortable about getting a massage.

All in all it was a wonderful expeience, very relaxing and professional feeling and I will definetely by back to Salon Dewi for a massage and I am eager to try some of their other services as well.

I've seen Aldera for over a year. She is quick, personable, and an expert! I highly recommend her!

I've been going for my 'south American' needs (read: Brazilian) for a year and a half now, and plan to continue to come back. It was a long, tiresome, and oftentimes painful (not to mention expensive) journey that brought me here, but all's well that ends well (insert happy trail or landing strip joke here). I had my first appointment with Travis, but have been a patron of Marie ever since then, and she is amazing! She's super quick, but thorough, uses two kinds of wax depending on the sensitivity of the area, and takes great care to not have the wax be too hot. The wax itself is of high quality (again, I've seen the difference, and you'll never go back to the cheap stuff after trying this) and her skills are superb. Yeah, you should run, not walk, but not all at once - I still want to be able to get an appointment!

I am so glad that I chose to go to salon Dewi on Capitol Hill. I would recommend this salon to all and was very grateful to have such a attentive and precise waxing specialist, Aerie. Of course you are a little nervous about going in and thanks to her I felt comfortable and best wax ever with less pain for sure! Thanks to the staff.

I am very particular about one thing on my face and that is my brows. I really don't trust anyone with touching my brows not even myself. When I went to Salon Dewi I had my brows done by Marie who is one of the estheticians at the salon. I explained to her that I wanted to keep my brows natural with a good natural shape. I was nervous at first but when she gave me a mirror to look at my brows when she had finished I was left more than satisfied. I have since received numerous compliments on my brows from makeup artist, photographers and designers all of whom I work with through modeling. I highly recommend Marie to anyone who wants to have the perfect brow shaping.

Salon Dewi provides a lovely atmosphere, courteous staff, and ample parking. Marie provided thoroughly professional and thoughtful waxing service. I was comfortable; in fact the experience was enjoyable. She is knowledgeable and trustworthy. The future of my eyebrows is in her hands and I have had a number of compliments since she took over. I trust her experience and execution entirely. Have her remove your hairs, youll be stoked!

Marie, at Salow Dewi is amazing! I have only had a couple of waxing experiences before my trip to her, They were pretty bad, so i was totally nervous when i showed up to Salon Dewi. Marie mad me feel relaxed and comfortable. She was professional and sweet! My eyebrows look amazing! I've never been happier with them. Plus, there was no bumping or skin irritaion afterward! I cant wait to go back.

I agree with other reviews that the owner and employees of this salon are too big into drama and not so professional. Other salons manage to keep this type of attitude away from the clients, too bad this place can't do the same.

The first time Marie saw me she told me my eyebrows were overwaxed and tweezed. She said that I needed to let them grow back in to get their natural shape back (My eyebrows were not even close to pencil line thin either). I was hesitant and truthfully didn't enjoy the growing in process (took a few months), but it was worth it. My eyebrows have never looked better and they are lower maintenance now. I have received several compliments from people about how nice my eyebrows look over the last 1.5 years that I have been going to Marie. Marie does much more than just wax my eyebrows, she styles them. She can trim and shape like none other. She has a gift... I can never get them to look like she does.

i just had my first brazilian wax at salon dewi with aldera. while the process was inevitably painful, aldera moved fast and kept me talking to distract from the screaming hair follicles. i would definitely go back to her for a brazilian or any other wax for that matter. loved the service and worth the pay!

After having a migraine for several weeks, I booked a massage with Matthew. During the session, he impressed me with his overall professional demeaner and overall muscle knowledge. We discussed additional treatments for migraine and his suggestions were spot-on! After the session, I was surprised to find my headache calmed and within a day or two, my migraine was gone. I've since gone back to Matthew and each time, his massages are better and better.

I've had massages from more than a dozen different massage therapists and Matthew is at the top of my list! He combines his knowledge of a variety of massage techniques with his ability to intuitively "read" your body so his massages are excellent and effective. I'm always amazed at how he matches the massage I receive to the care my body needs that particular day.

I have prominent eyebrows that look great when they are well groomed and awful when they aren't. I have had numerous waxing traumas by people who over-shaped and over-thinned. If you like that, Marie at Salon Dewi will be happy to make you happy, but if you want natural, well shaped, clean brows, she is your woman!

The salon is beautiful and peaceful and the service is outstanding from calling and making an appointment to paying your bill at the end. The salon owner, Travis, sees clients there as well, so the place is super well run and aims to please in every way.

Have a specific request or want to try something new? I think Salon Dewi is the best place to get what you want out of beauty treatments and know that you will leave a happy (and more beautiful) camper!

I've been going to Salon Dewi every since I moved to Seattle a couple years ago and I regularly take friends with me. I've had many of the services - massages with Matthew (excellent!), body scrubs, facials, and waxing with Marie (she is absolutely the best anywhere). I am always greeted with a smile, they remember my name, they offer me tea, and Travis always tempts me with new lingerie. I really enjoy going there and manage to find a reason to drop in every couple of weeks. Without a doubt, Marie is just the best at waxing. She does my brows and my bikini and always does a fabulous job. Don't go anywhere else. Seriously...don't.

Marie is AMAZING at waxing eyebrows! I completely trust her with mine and I have never been one to wax my browsin the past . I love my shape and have also gotten a number of compliments from friends and family on how great they look. It is such a relief not having to feel frustrated about constantly keeping my brows even because Marie will do the work for me! If your looking for someone for facial waxing especially in eyebrow waxing go see Marie immediately!

I'm not what you would call a waxing virgin. I've been around the block a few times... I was a bit leary of checking out Salon Dewi because it kind of looks like a shady place from the outside. But, judge not by its cover! Inside is very clean, staff if professional and fun... plus Marie ROCKS. She does brow shaping/waxes like nobody's business, PLUS all the other unmentionables. If you're getting a little hairy then go see Marie for your landscaping needs! (P.S. She does facials, too.)

When I first went to Salon Dewi I was really worried. I had finally decided to leave my
waxist who I loved but who didn't quite love my brows back. How do you trust a completely
new waxist when you can barely trust the one you've already had? Go to Salon Dewi. Okay
so I can't say everyone is fabulous there because I haven't seen everybody but the place is
referred to as the "Waxing Diva." And yeah, they probably gave themselves that name but with
Marie it's really true. I told her my concerns and we talked about what she planned to do before
she started stripping away and just that alone made me feel so much better. She never strips too
much hair away (my last waxist sometimes got a little too wax happy) and she makes sure every
strand of hair is removed from my...other areas.

I've been battling back pain for years, chiropractors, doctors exams, ibuprofen, you name it.
Finally, after a recommendation from a friend, I went to see Bobi at Salon Dewi. He started right in with a deep tissue massage, he really pin pointed the area where I was having the most problems with tight muscles. He didn't just relax my back muscles, but my shoulders neck, and most importantly my legs. He explained that the pain could be reoccurring due to my posture caused by tight hamstrings and other related muscles.
I've been seeing him for 3 months now and have never felt better. I invested one of the Massage packages you can buy, which saves me money, and reminds me to book ahead.

so last minute i decide i must have a massage because i am sore and stiff and it's just been way too long since i've been worked on. i call dewi and they could actually fit me in super quick - same afternoon. i get there and it's great because instead of that akward get undressed and lie down thing, i was told that i could go start relaxing in this hot sauna type room. it was nice to unwind a minute before the massage and it did not cost anything extra! and then therapist matthew came & got me out and gave me time to get comfy on the table. during the massage he was super attentive and checked in with me often ,explaining my aches and pains better than my physician as he went along. he had a good attenetion to detail and found my sore spots without a lengthy discussion. it was like we were working together to make me feel better ( not just me passed out on the table disconnected from my senses). so anyways i give him a big thumbs up. this is big because i am in the industry so i feel like i can spot good service when i see it. he also gave suggestions about what i can do for myself to heal inbetween visits and that was definitely above and beyond.

I was just in to get waxed by Travis the waxing Diva yesterday for my upcoming wedding and honeymoon! I have been going to Wax on and was usually satisfied, but it wasn't always consistent. I had heard of Travis and how fabulous he is and believe me, I wasn't disapointed! It was the BEST and most painless Brazilian wax I have ever had!! The salon is very nice and clean with fun products!

I have enjoyed many massages in my lifetime, but Matthew at Salon Dewi, gives the best rub down that I have ever experienced. While I usually have a massage every couple of months, since I have experienced a massage by Matthew I find myself craving a massage as often as possible. Let me tell you a couple of things that I find especially superb about his style. First off, he is warm, personable, and he makes me feel like he genuinely wants to make my body feel the best that it can. I do have a physical job, and Matthew has such an amazing understanding of the body that he knows exactly where my muscles might be sore due to the kind of daily rigors I experience. During my massage he often tells me the specific muscle he is working on and why it is important. Another benefit of his body knowledge is that he knows what muscles are tight and need work, often when I don't. Matthew reminds me to breath, something that is very important during massage, but often ignored. Don't let me forget to mention one of the most important and appreciated aspects of this guys work. I never feel rushed, the traditional 50 minute massage is often a 60 minute massage. What I ADORE about his style is that he always gives a balanced massage even if he spends extra time on a problem area. I always leave salon Dewi feeling relaxed, and rejuvinated. My body feels good all week and I can't wait to do it again.

For those of us who love when our hair stylist give us a scalp massage.... I must say that Matthew raises the bar on step higher

I recently received a male facial treatment at dewi, and it was amazing. The oils and heat and massage treatments were very relaxing, I couldnt help but falling asleep for a second. My face felt great when I left and has cleared up pretty nicely in the couple weeks since my treatment. thanks to marie for a great facial, ill see you again soon!

I found Salon Dewi and Eri last year on City Search when I was looking for a salon to have a brazilian. I have been going there ever since and have never been disappointed with the friendly staff and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that Eri provides. Salon Dewi offers superior services and that is why they are named as best year after year.

I found salon Dewi through City Search, because my back was killing me. After a session with Tiana I found out that one of my ribs was actually dislocated. She fixed it during that one session. And, I felt much better right after. It was a huge relief. I highly recommend her.

Marie, you are the best. I found Salon Dewi on 'the best of citysearch.' With all the rave reviews Marie had, I made sure I made an appointment with her. I must say, Marie made my eyebrows so lovely. The best it ever looked in my life. About my 5th visit there, I decided to try Marie's hand on facial. She analyzed my skin and made me a custom facial. It was so relaxing, I felt completely at ease afterward. If you're very fastidious with your eyebrows, look Marie up. She'll take good care of you.

Salon Dewi is awesome. ive gone to see marie three times now and it just gets easier each visit. we all know how dreaded the bikini wax can be but for some reason i always feel SUPER relaxed after each waxing. shes very quick and i feel comfortable cracking jokes with her and chatting while my most private area is exposed. sounds weird, does it? well not to a hairy italian girl who has had to undress from the waist down for numerious tramatic bikini wax experiences. im so glad i found her after only living here for a few months, its a relief to know that i dont have to search for someone else. ive had such bad experiences with waxers and wax. in the past ive been burned, raw for days, ive blead, gotten rashes, and have left with wax stuck all over the place. marie uses three types of wax for each precious and tender area depending. her prices are extremely reasonable and she tells me she does facials too. so if you need a great bikini line, brazilian, or a complete front to back this is a badass chick to do it.!

I knew when I walked into Salon Dewi that I had chosen the right spot to get my brows waxed. The staff was friendly and warm, offering me a glass of water or tea as soon as I walked in. The atmosphere was so relaxing, like a spa in Bali. I had scheduled a brow wax with Marie. She was so cute and professional. She greeted me with a warm handshake and smile. The entire session was really peaceful. She worked a miracle on my brows, I did'nt think they could look this good. I mean really. I have a tendency to take the tweezers and hack away until I have brows that look like I got in a fight with a lawn mower...and SHE FIXED THEM! They look beautiful, I don't even have to pencil them in!

Travis at Salon Dewi is the best. I've been having my waxing done by him for years....now I travel from San Diego to see him. He's super fast, super detailed, has great parking and treats you like a good friend right from the start. He has lots of fun things in his salon. My last visit I had body scrub and massage. WOW, it was fantastic!

I had my back waxed with Travis. I was sooooo nervous, because well...... I'm not a back waxing kind of guy but I did it for my wife. Travis and his staff made me feel comfortable. He was V E R Y quick and I'd like to say painless-- but alas .........in the end my wife loved it and I was really happy too.

I just recently became a client here and I would never go to anyone else for waxing and skincare. Alicia is SO good at what she does and is totally adorable.! I feel like I have a rockstar working on me! She transformed my entire face,, from my now perfect brows to my flawless, glowing skin. I have had my chest and back waxed from several places in Seattle, but this must be the worst. I didn't recover for at least 5 days -- even cotton shirts hurt....maybe the wax was to hot or something but I will never go back.

The staff was nice and the atmosphere was nice as well but not worth being burnt.

I have been going to Salon Dewi for a while now,and absolutely love it. From the friendly people to the quick and amazing wax. I have never been happier to go get hair removal! I recently went to see Travis for my regular wax and he told me I needed a little something extra..A bikini BLAST he told me, at first I was sceptical. "This is like a facial for your toot toot" he told me. How could I turn that down. During the winter months when you need a little exfoliatong why would you ignore down there? Well,now I am sold..and will be doing the Bikini Blast regularly. Go get one!

Well, if Salon Dewi is recommended by The New York Times, it just *has* to be good, right? Salon Dewi is so much more than "good." The salon is quaint, welcoming, and serene. The entire space is carefully decorated and in the bathrooms, you get actual towels for your hands (not paper towels!). I've had my fair share of Brazilian waxes from a couple local big named salons so I had an idea of what was good and not good. Travis, dubbed the Waxing Diva, is PERFECT! By far, he orchestrates the best and most thorough Brazilian wax out there while making you feel absolutely comfortable. This was the first time I ever met Travis and not once did I feel like a "client." Although there are closer salons that offer mediocre Brazilian waxes, I will be going out of my way and into downtown Seattle to get my monthly dose of the Waxing Diva.

I ve had such bad experiences with estheticians in the past. Alicia is the best Ive ever met. She is very knowledgeable about skincare and the specific needs of MY skin. She customizes her facials and has the most amazing touch. She also takes care of ALL my waxing including Brazilian. She is FAST and efficiant and always has a hilarious story to tell. I feel so comfortable when I am in her care. I highly recommend her and advise you to book asap.. she is a busy girl.

Marie will make you feel right at home with her waxing style! Short & sweet! It's over before you know it! I make sure to go in there before a big date or event and she always makes my eyebrows look so fabulous!

I have received a handful of massages from various therapists, mainly on business trips and vacations. I was recently massaged by Matthew at Salon Dewi, on Capitol Hill. His unique style and approach worked very well for me. He has nice pressure and was good about checking in with me throughout the massage, which was reassuring. The best thing about the whole experience is that my right hand doesn?t go numb like it used to. I also recommend using their sauna before hand, it was great!

I have gone to Salon Dewi a handful of times and always had a nice experience, until this last time. I went in for a massage, which went ok for the first hour. When I was asked if I wanted my abs rubbed, I said sure. I've had my abs rubbed maybe a dozen times before by a dozen different massage therapists, but NEVER had any of them just pulled back the blanket leaving me and my breasts exposed. EVERY other massage therapist I have gone to has always taken great care in keeping certain parts of the body covered up. I covered myself up, which seemed to surprise him. I spent the next twenty minutes wondering why I wasn't getting up to leave. I was in total shock. So unprofessional!!! and what a disappointment, I really liked going to Salon Dewi, but now I will never go there again.

Stop looking. No, I mean it stop looking! This is the spa you want. My husband was searching just like you are doing now for the best spa to pamper me for my 40th birthday. He wanted a place that when I was done I couldn't even think straight. As soon as I walked through the front door every person I met was helpful and kind. Usually in spa's they are kind in a phony kind of way, you know the yes I will be kind to you because I am going to charge you a lot of money. Salon Dewi isn't like any other salon I have experienced or have heard about.

I had the Hydrate before you Hibernate package. They started with a raw sugar, salt and armotherapy mixture and scrubbed it all over. Then I went to the shower for a nice relaxing rinse. Then back to the room for a mixture of oils and honey. Then I was wrapped up in warmed for 30 minutes. This was followed by a shea butter mixed with olive oil and armotherapy massage for 30 minutes. Then you get this amazing facial.

When I left I had to remember my name! I was so relaxed. I am a school teacher and relaxing isn't always easy. Please trust me. This is the place you want to go. It is so worth the time and investment to treat your body right. Bobi is the one who gave me the massage. His massage technique is gentle and relaxing. I have never had a facial and the woman who did it was patient and explained the whole technique to me.

I have no problems recommending my friends and family go to this salon. I will be coming back in the future. Come on...what are you waiting for...treat yourself to a little piece of heaven!

I've found my aesthetician for life! She's always on time and super friendly. I get my brows and brazilian done once a month with her and she rocks! My brows have never been this defined and well groomed. Always taking the time to look at my new haircut or style, Marie takes the time to make sure my brows correct. I also love that I get both services done in about 30 to 45 minutes, without feeling rushed. We have such a great conversation that my brazilian is over in no time. (It's probably her technique also.) I just splurged and had an hour facial with her and it was the most in depth, pampering treatment ever. I left feeling relaxed and fresh. She really impressed me with her knowledge of skincare. Her advice was accurate and she sold me exactly what I needed without being pushy. All in all, I love Marie and Salon Dewi. You're the best, see you in 3 weeks!
