I love coming out for a Druzianich auction. I have gone to quite a few at their location in Hoquiam and once away at a large home site auction. I was a little nervous the first time and learning the whole bid process. The girls they have at the window help you sign up and answer questions about how to bid and purchase. They require your driver's license number and address info to bid. They also tack on a premium on top of the sale bid.
Previews of items are usually a for a few hours before the bidding starts. You can inspect the items then and even go home and do a little research on an item if you have time to make sure you get a good deal. The employees are meandering around and you can ask them questions about items too. They are good appraisers. The head auctioneer is AWESOME. He does an excellent job and keeps the auction fun and going smoothly.
The auction employees are allowed to bid also. I have never seen them abuse this by outbidding the audience all the time. They will bid on something they like occassionally.
Auctions can run on for hours and get over quite late. They have a bathrooms and a snack bar with hotdogs, popcorn, drinks, nachos, ect. to keep away the hunger pains.
The building they use is an old grocery market and has not had any inside remodeling done so the inside appearance is a tad shabby and comes off as a little unclean.
If you love a bargain or hunting for treasures you should check them out.
PROS: Snack bar, great auctioneer.
CONS: Building still looks like a grocery store with a garage sale inside.
