I am blown away by the unfriendly way that they handled my complaint. I usually go in and by a certain product, usually when I go in they usually go the extra mile and see whatever they can do to help me, but I asked if they had more of this product and they said no, I thought nothing about it. I left the store, and I had to return because I forgot something and went to see if they had any more and wa-la they had more there. If they didn't want to sell me the product they don't have to lie about it. I have been to the other store over by Sunset Blvd store, and they agreed to sell me this product at a reduced price since I buy so much of it. The store in Cheney are not customer oriented. I asked the butcher for bones, and he directed me to get bones that had no meat for which what I was looking for, but more importantly smaller bones for my small dog. I refuse to pay $8.00 for bones at any other place would give them to me for free. I, also believe that the managers think they are better than everyone else. I was a valued customer at the Cheney store, but I will take my business elsewhere, where the customer service is friendlier, and more centered around the customer, not the manager.

the managers throughout the store are very rude to employees. most are college students and get treated poorly because the manager thinks he is amazing. meat department manager is the only friendly one in the whole store. one camera in the entire store not even watching the area where they sell tobacco and rent the movies from. and the deli will keep food in the case for an entire day unless certain employees are working.

We have been a long time customers of Cheney Trading Company and have been happy with the services they provide for several years, until recently. The fruit prices are always great and they strive to compete with Safeway. However, in the past year, the friendly customer service has started to disappear and become non-existent. Our biggest issue, besides grumpy and hostile cashiers is the video department. Although the video prices are excellent, they have no video surveillance and keep very poor records. You can return movies on time and still receive accusative calls stating you didn't return your item and that you need to come pay for the returned video. It does not matter how much of a long-standing customer you are, how clean your movie rental track record is, or if an associate misplaced or filed the videos wrong. Perhaps they have an internal thief or a very unorganized system, who knows? In this store, the customer is not valued. The only way they can compete with other stores is to try to keep prices low. If you are looking for an enjoyable shopping experience, we recommend you shop elsewhere. Beware of - and stay away from - the video department, if at all possible. Perhaps soon they will find appropriate and friendly customer service. If not, many long-time customers will make a change and find a new store to show community support for. There are several stores that may be better able to serve your needs. We have Mitchell's/Denny's Food Store, Safeway, Bi-Mart, Dollar Store, and several convenience stores that are more interested in pleasing the long-time local customer base.
