TERRIBLE SERVICE! First off, I've found that a majority of their merchandise is terrible quality and/or damaged. I found a pair of sandals there (looked okay when I purchased them.. didn't even bother trying them on(BAD IDEA). When I put them on at home the strap completely snapped. When I came back to the store to return them the associate seemed nervous when he called the manager over to approve the return. He told me right on the spot that she most likely wouldn't, even warned me his boss was mean. She did not greet me, make eye contact, smile.. nothing! She was very quick to accuse me of wearing them (WHICH I HAD NOT) she did not even apologize for my not being happy with purchase which, I thought was incredibly rude! I'm not one to start a scene nor did I bother convincing to go through with the return. I told her it was alright, you can keep the sandals and walked right out of there. Lets just say I'm never shopping there again.

TJ Maxx carries an odd assortment of stuff other than clothes: I've found great picture frames there, as well as a set of sheets, both of which were a great deal. Their housewares department is kind of thrown together and if you care to sift through the shelves of stuff, you might find something you like. If you have better things to do with your time, you'd better go elsewhere. Staple clothing items like socks (designer socks at regular prices) and undershirts for boys (pack of three Polo undershirts for $15, which is exactly half off Nordstrom's price) are a great buy, and almost always in stock. As for the rest of it, it's extremely hit or miss. I am not a person who does well in a disorganized, chaotic environment, which is what TJ Maxx is. If you're more level-headed, you might find some great stuff. It is a discount, no frills at all place, which is both refreshing and disconcerting.

    PROS: Good deals
CONS: Tiny, bizarre fitting rooms; disorganized

Cheap knock offs some are good some are not, and you have to really look to find good stuff. They have a good handbag selection.

TJ Maxx is a discount department store. A lot of the stuff they have is horrible stuff you wouldn't be caught dead even looking at, but they have a lot of designer stuff, too. Stock up on necessities here, like under shirts, boxers, socks, and PJs. You can get Ralph Lauren, etc. of this stuff for like 50% off. Can't beat that. Appreciate it for what it is and consider yourself lucky if you find something you like. Buy it right away, because it may not be there tomorrow.

    PROS: Cheap, rotating stock
CONS: No customer service to speak of
