Desert Fire's decor is loosely based on a Kiva, round with a fire pit in the center and painted in warm desert colors. On a rainy day in the Northwest a meal at Desert Fire is a brief escape from cold dreary surroundings.
Invariably, the meal I choose is the Applewood Pecan Salmon. It's a filet of salmon crusty with spices, garnished with pecans and served over spinach and mashed sweet potatoes. Like much of the menu I would describe it as New American cuisine with a southwestern influence. The menu is filled with unexpected combinations of foods and restrained use of traditional southwestern ingredients.
Desert Fire in Redmond, WA is a desert retreat in the Pacific Northwest, with cuisine to please sophisticated palates.
