Avoid!! Overpriced and with a rude staff. There are cheaper places nearby and if you must get something fast late at night there are other places with staff that cares about customers

We love living downtown and part of what makes it work is having small local stores that you can pick up a few essentials for dinner. City Foods does just that for us. It is close and for most things the prices are reasonable but not cheap as well as it has evening hours for those last minute needs.

Sister store to Dan's Belltown Grocery, and both owned by the same person. This isn't one of those little downtown markets, it's a full out grocery store, although even smaller than Dan's. They have a fresh produce cooler, as well as a decent frozen aisle. They don't always turn their fresh food as often as one might like, so it's a sound idea to be sure and check expiration dates prior to purchase. Their prices are not as cheap as one of the big chain grocery stories, but you'll do much better here than one of those little corner convenience stores that are all over downtown.

City foods may not have the best customer service, prices, or selection, but they are cool. Whenever I need milk or eggs or bread...or basically anything NOT worth getting in the car and going to get, I walk half a block to City Foods. The conviniance is awesome!
