Love this store. It is a family owned business so it isn't kept clean to tip top condition but it is decent. They have a decent selection on tropical fish and have a few marine tanks in the back. They have nice staff (Huey his wife and his son). Been open for years so they know what they are talking about. Not a chain so they are willing to cut you a deal and help you take care of your fish. They even have a cleaning service where they come to service your fish tank! I get lazy every now and then and i pay them to do it all for me. When i come in i like to look around at all the new fish they get and their animals. Animals are well kept. Dogs are friendly. They clean them regularly. Sometimes they close off the animal area and let the dogs run around and play with each other. They could come off as rude but they are quite friendly and caring people. Prices are decent but you can't really compare to the big chain stores but they are willing to work it out with you. Overall great store. I love to support local businesses.

The pet store is way to expensive. It is ridiculous. I think he is swindler. You are right. It is not clean store. Fish and prices are just way to high. He try to sell me a goldfish. He told me it was a koi.

Used to work here, farkin sucked. I watched owner eat a burger that he left layin round and cockroachedscattered from in/under it wen he picked it up. Crazy dude. He seemed cool, never paid me enough and wouldn't let me clean like I wanted. I tryed but no dice. Reason for no pics is cos he thinks you'd sell the fish on craigslist or something. Like that would be bad, he could sell a fish that way at least. Horrible wife, bratty kids and they asked way too much. Worst job ever.

I like this store, i was a little uneasy as i walked in thinking some weird people would be owning it but better yet it was my Vietnamese people (im Vietnamese) and the guy and his wife are very friendly a lot better than petsmart people and it is a little scruffy like a little dirty on the floor but then again it is only kept in tact by like 3 people..and i was able to bargain with them due to me speaking Vietnamese, and they have decent prices like nothing was really over priced or anything and i came for reptiles and they had a larger selection than most petco and petsmart stores with more exotic pets,.. they aren't rude like said earlier they are just Asian, we talk loud and bargain a lot so what?.. and there are signs in there that say no pictures allowed or bright flashes especially around the animals this isn't recommend to people that are just looking fro a first pet or anything, but overall i like the store and would recommend it to someone that isn't the criticiser of stores and just goes there to get what they want

This is the only FAMILY owned pet shop around that I know of. I have been going there for years now and honestly have had no issues I agree the place is messy and seems unkempt it is still a place to support the family owned shop and not the huge chain stores that have issues of their own.

Although people may complain of the lack of cleanliness of the store, the selection of reptiles is amazing. He doesn't constantly handle animals that dont need constant handling resulting in independent, hardy reptiles. The owner is a little stern, but he knows his stuff and he is always open to questions. Little Amazon is the only store around that has live pinky mice for baby snakes and subadult reptiles, and regular customers are always greeted with a warm smile. I've bought animals from petco that died right away, but reptiles from him are always healthy as they are in the wild, not babied and overcared for.

Visiting Seattle from San Diego. We have tons of NICE Fish keeping stores down here. This was one of 2 that I visited while in Seattle. He has some monsters for sale and pretty nice Discus. But WHAT A RIP OFF! $800 for a FlowerHorn?!?! Is he smoking crack? To give you an idea, Flowerhorns down here go for more like $40. It was a Diamond Blue FH and a bland one at that. His Arowana are way overpriced as well. I just bought a 11" Silver down in San Diego for $40. He was asking $80 for smaller Silvers than the one i got.
I went to take a picture of the fish with my phone and the owner comes by flapping his hands in the air yelling at me to not take any pictures.... I never understand these people.
RUDE owner, WAY Over priced!!!

Maybe i'm being unrealistic, but $800 for a Flowerhorn is completely ludicrous. I've been keeping Amazonians for 15 years and have been an active member of worldwide fishkeeping sites, so I know a good fish store when I see one. This guy has some pretty nice Discus and some other good selections of Amazons, but no amount of good fish will make me give my money to a rude owner. This owner was extremely rude to me and we hadnt even exchanged hello yet. I wanted a picture of one of his fish to show someone and he put his hands up and yelled at me to not take any pictures. FINE, all you have to say is Please no pictures. You dont have to yell and carry on like you're trying to hide something. His Flowerhorns and Arowana are overpriced and he was rude to a customer he never even bothered to greet when they walked in the door.
No thanks. It amazes me that people seemingly just fork over money to anyone.

Pros: Nice Discus. Good Selection

Cons: Was rude for no reason, Overpriced in my opinion

I went to this shop because as a part of a biology assignment, we were supposed to buy a snail and fish to build ecology homes. The mainstream pet stores didn't sell snails, so I went here. When I walked in it was very humid, everything was cramped, and the smell was sickening. The poor fish had no space to swim because their tanks were filled so much. As I was paying for the snail, I noticed a sign that said "PUPPIES ON SALE!" I decided to check it out, after making my way through a backroom to get to where the reptiles, mice, birds, and domestic animals are kept I was in horror. The puppies looked sick, scared, and lonely. As I approached one of the cages all the puppies backed away, their eyes filled with terror. They have everything from toy breeds to German Shepard puppies. The cages seemed as if they hadn't been cleaned in days and the smaller puppies were laying on top of each other, because of the lack of space. I was extremely disgusted, and they advertised the puppies as pure bred! DO NOT GO TO LITTLE AMAZON FISH & PET.

I have visited many fish stores in town and I must say his store is the best its well organized and the fishes are happy his store is the only pace I been to where the fishes will follow you whereever you go. He now has salt water set ups and dogs and cats as well. The new store is an improvement to the one before but the friendlyness is the same. Highly Recommended store. I think his English is great.

From time to time I visit this tiny little pet shop on Aurora to peruse their latest fish stock and pick up some aquarium supplies. The store owner is a very friendly, approachable guy and the nice thing about this place is that he is always willing to cut a deal with you. I was able to find a specific fish that is normally priced at $25-30/fish, and bargained with the owner to get three for $15! Although as a small warning, I would definitely quarantine any fish purchased from the store to ensure that you do not pass along any diseases to your existing fish.

Some of the fish in the store don't seem to be living in the healthiest conditions. Though most of the tanks seem clean and well-maintained, I did spot a few that carried a number of dead or sick fish. Which might explain the potential for bargaining in this store, but, I took those three not so healthy fish home and in less than a week had them in tip-top shape. It's up to your own personal discretion if you think it's worth it.

As for cleanliness, I think the store could definitely try to improve in that department. The products are not well organized and the aisles are very cramped which makes it difficult to find what you are looking for at times. This place also carries birds, mice and other small animals, as well as reptiles.

I wouldn't recommend looking for comprehensive answers to your pet-related questions here, as I do question the knowledge of the staff in that department in some areas (they can be a bit pushy about the selling and misinform a customer about ideal conditions for a fish/pet).

Parking is usually street parking in front or in a gravel-filled lot in the back (but be careful of their menacing guard dog, avoid entering from the back!).

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to someone who knows exactly what they are looking for and want to find it at a competitive price.

PROS: They're usually open to bargaining, the owner is friendly
CONS: Sometimes can misinform you, not very clean
