WORST SALESMAN. Lied straight to my face!

by Gloria G.

About 2 months ago, I purchased a new 2008 honda civic from CHARLES MISKEL at Lynnwood Honda.
I absolutley love my car & Charles seemed like a nice guy & like a trust worthy person. HE'S NOT! I asked him 2 times if I were to purchase the car, if they would leave the same license plate on the car. he gave me his "honest" word & said the license plate would stay the same & I would NOT get a new one. He lied.Normally, I wouldn't care about a liense plate but this plate had my initials & the month & date of my birthday on it, so I was very excited about it. I get a phone call about a month after purchasing the vehicle & was told my tabs & license plate were in & to pick them up. (he originally told me they would mail them to me when they arrived but didn't follow through with that either). I confronted Charles when I picked up my tabs & plates & he played stupid like he didn't know why I got new license plates. He was quite cold & was acting shady & deceitful. Once new plates are issued to you then that;s that, you can't get the old ones back. Charles also asked me if my mom, who co-signed with me, received the honda t-shirt in the mail. I called my mom & she never got anything in the mail..till this day. So he lied straight to my face AGAIN & this time he KNEW he was lying, and right after I called him out!!! He also said he would throw in 3 free oil changes the day I bought the car, I reminded him of that & he convenientally "forgot" & gave me a piece of paper stating he'd pay for 1 oil change. Also, the day I bought the car, it took him forever to enter the paperwork and he kept messing up on the application & was putting me as the co-signer, not my mom. He had NO idea what he was doing. It was very frustrating & annoying. After the service guys detailed my car, I got it with less than a 3rd of gas in the car.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CHARLES MISKEL!!!
He will not follow through with anything he tells you!

Good Communication on job status

by mark d.

Timely and kept us in the loop on job status(timing belt change). Check over your bill. Charged for an oil filter when we didn't request a change. Made it up to us with a free oil change. Overall, we like the service/staff and facility better than Burien Honda.

Positive Experience!

by Teresa H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,071

I really enjoy coming to this dealership to have my car serviced. I bought my car at "Lynnwood Honda" almost 5 years ago and I continue to take my car to get routine service done. These people are very customer focused. They are very professional and timely. If I need a ride somewhere they will take me there and when my car is done they will come pick me up. If I want to hang out at the local Starbucks they will call me on my cell to let me know my car is done. They are very good at explaining what was done on the car that needed service. I only have to take my car in once a year.

Lynnwood Honda is unethical and has HORRIBLE customer service

by Anonymous

My review in a nutshell: Lynnwood Honda is unethical and gives horrendous customer service. Do not give them your business!!!!!

I had the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life at Lynnwood Honda. I found the car I wanted and drove it, it had not been detailed and the windshield wipers were bad. I was promised it would be cleaned, detailed and a safety check would be done so I left for three hours and came back to a disgustingly filthy dirty car, both inside and out and when I went to clean it myself I realized the car had no rear brake lights!! Also, the intake was not bolted down, the front license plate was not put on and one of the reverse lights was not plugged in. When I called the next business day the Assistant Service Manager, Pete, offered no apology. A few minutes later the Sales Manager, Keith called and was unbelievably rude to me, admitted the car had not been detailed or a safety check done and told me to bring it in so they could do it (also never said he was sorry).

I brought the car in that night and when I attempted to show the sales guy what I wanted fixed he told me that he was going to have me tell the guys in service and then never took me back there or gave me an opportunity to show them the many, many problems with the car. He did give me free sonics tickets for that night which was nice.

When I went to pick up the car the next night I immediately noticed hundreds of small cracks in the paint on the hood, which were not there when I bought the car. When I pointed them out to the sales guy he got very defensive and said they were already there. The windshield wiper had also not been fixed and the front plate was nowhere to be found. I left the car there to be finished.

That night I called the General Manager, Mike Popkey, and left a voice mail. The next morning I called again and spoke with him. What an awful experience!! After explaining just some of my experience up to that point he yelled at me to listen to him and told me that he didn't even want to help me since I had told him I would never recommend Lynnwood Honda to any one I know. He argued with me about the cracks and did not apologize at all for any of the enormous hassle I had been through. For the manager of a business that is based on customer service he sure treats customers disrespectfully.

All in all, this was the worst experience I have ever had buying anything. I feel taken advantage of and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Nice sales and resonable price

by Paul X. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,841

I bought my car here and I am very satisfied with their services. I actually went to several dealers and finally got a reasonable price here. The sales are nice and considerate. We did have a good time. Later I found many of my friends also bought their cars from this dealer as they all got the best deal from here. I would recommend this place to everyone who want to buy a honda around this area.

Customer Testimonial

by Honda2009

Mike, even after buying several Hondas from you over the past two decades,
and having them all serviced by you, my wife Liz and I continue to be amazed
and impressed as we "experience the difference" at Lynnwood Honda.

This month we bought a new 2009 Accord for Liz, and it was an utterly
painless interaction. God just doesn't make a better salesperson than Robin
Hanson who also sold me a new 2009 Accord last December. She doesn't know
the word "pressure." Her outstanding product knowledge, personal concern
and efficient manner assured us that we were doing the right thing.

With a big assist from Rob in Sales' catbird seat and Christi in F&I and
Merle in Service, Liz is loving her new wheels. However, I must say it was
not easy to pry her out of her red 1995 Accord which we bought new from you.
She's enjoyed all 50,000 miles that she's put on it in fourteen years!

You promise "fairness, honesty and courtesy," Mike, and to a person, you
deliver that and more.

Please let these folks know again how much we appreciate them and respect
the way they care for us. You and Wendy and your team are peerless.

With best wishes for your new model year,

(For Liz) George Toles
