MeriEsther is the Best stylist i have ever had!!! i love that she is edgy and has wonderful ideas, and yet she is careful to listen to what i want!! She is sweet and thoughtful. Although she is outgoing, i do not feel pressure to chat. Sometimes i just want a hair cut - if you know what i mean. i always get sooooo many compliments on my hair when she is done. She gets me to go for styles that i may not have thought of without her eye!!!! Thank you Meri. See you soon!

I have been a customer of margidavid for the last 10 years, I felt compelled to write a review after reading the two not so good reviews. first by saying every business has there isolated bad day, the overall experience of the salon has always been excellent, they are very good at keeping up with change to make things top notch. I feel that you who wrote such a review should consider how they were just trying to accommodate, and probably sounds like did there best to rectified the unfortunate situation. this salon has the best ratings and have been our community for a long time, with a outstanding reputation, and has been recognized nationally for there excellence.

Well I have to say when I first started going to Margidavid I loved it! Kelli is wonderful and I felt I had finally found someone in Seattle that I loved my hair everytime I walked out. She is wonderful, sweet and has an amazing ability to do exactly what you are thinking.
On the other hand... I had an appointment a few weeks,I show up and David the owner informs me that they had cancelled my appointment bc Kelli had a last minute emergency (which I completely understood) What I didn't understand was why no one called me to let me know. He asked if I would like to have someone else do my cut and color and seeing as though I was going out of town again to take care of my own family emergencies, I said yes.
Well the colorist who I see has gotten pretty good reviews previously allowed the color to leak to the other part of my hair. Which in turn turned my hair a real rusty red color on top She tried to convince the lady who was cutting my hair that it wouldn't be a big deal, but the lady who cut my hair told me that i probably would not be happy with the results. So they did a second treatment to treat the mistake, which didn't work. Then I was told that there would be no one to dry my hair after the cut and asked if it would be ok to just go home wet?? Hmm seems odd when they were the ones that messed up.
Long story short the lady that messed up my color ended up drying my hair (after trying to avoid me) and assured me it wouldn't look bad when it dried. Well it did....random streaks of red all throughout the top of my hair. I made her aware that I was unhappy with the color, but had to get back home to my friend who had been watching my son. David was aware that i was unhappy with how i had been treated from the minute I walked in, but no one ever came to apologize and i was not even discounted for the service. VERY unprofessional. I love Kelli, but am turned off by the lack of professionalism in the salon.

Hi, my name is Liz and MeriEsther has cut my hair many times. She is so fantastic!! She is a great listener and always cuts it exactly the way i ask. I like that MeriEsther is up-to-date on all the styles and keeps up with the trends! She makes great conversation without talking too much. IT is refreshing to get my hair cut by her. She is so professional and considerate. Her friendly thoughtfulness is refreshing! Be sure to call and ask for MeriEsther (Meri) next time you stop in.

Upon my arrival, I was told I was not seeing the stylist I had originally booked my appointment with. The stylist I booked the appointment with had gone home sick. No one bothered to call me to let me know. Since I left work early that day to go to this appointment, I thought I'd roll with it. We sat down, I told the girl I wanted volume, body, and shape. She cut 2 inches off, put a ton of product in my hair, and called it good. It is the most generic, unprofessional cut I have ever had. This was a week ago and I still get angry thinking about it.

Pros: well decorated, clean, overall aesthetically pleasing

I'm driving two hours and taking a ferry every month to have MeriEsther at MargiDavid Salon cut and color my hair. She's that good! She is without a doubt the best stylist that I have ever had. I'm thrilled to have found her. Her expertise with cut and color is fantastic. I moved to the Seattle area about six months ago and was worried about finding a stylist who would be willing to continue with the same Wella formula used by my previous stylist in California (who was great). Not only has MeriEsther been gracious about continuing with my formula, but she has come up with ideas for my cut, color, and hair condition that have really made a difference in my hair. She is a sweetheart of a person. Warm, welcoming, thoughtful, funny, talented...I look forward to my time with her. We have fun and I leave with great hair. She really listens, she really cares and she really knows her stuff. I HIGHLY Recommend her and the salon. The atmosphere at MargiDavid is a plus, very relaxing, friendly, super clean and professional. Helpful receptionists make it easy to schedule appointments. The whole staff really seems to care about the clients and go out of their way to make the visit pleasant and low key.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if they are looking for a fabulous hair stylist/colorist they should go see MeriEsther at MargiDavid Salon. MeriEsther has a very friendly approach and she has created a very gratifying relationship with me that I had never found but always searched for in a sylist. MeriEsther has a great ability to listen to my needs and offers great suggestions that keep me coming back. She can do wonders with my color it is always so precise, flawless and the color itself is brilliant and she always cuts a style that suits my facial structure and she keeps me feeling very stylish!!! She is warm and enthusiastic and has an amazing passion for doing hair. I highly reccomend you go see her......

I have been all over the Eastside and Seattle to get my hair cut and have never been as impressed as I was after visiting Margidavid Salon. I have never had a stylist put so much time and energy into a cut and the best part was that he listened to and delivered exactly what I wanted. When I returned home from the salon I literally had 10 girls hounding me to get my stylists card because of how amazing my hair looked. I would recommend Margidavid to anyone who is in need of a dedicated stylist who will go out of their way to make your hair look better than you have ever imagined!

I'm moving out of state, and I'm really going to miss MargiDavid Salon. It's trendy without being pretentious, the receptionists are friendly and professional, and my stylist, Natasha, has been fantastic. She has a great personality, she listens to what I'm looking for, and delivers a chic and manageable cut. Like most women, I'm picky when it comes to my hair, but I've always left very satisfied after visiting this salon.

Pros: Well-trained stylists, welcoming atmosphere

I found MargiDavid because I was looking for a Wella haircolor salon in Seattle. I have now been going to them for a year, and have been cut and colored by 3 different people. The experience has always been great! My last few visits were with David, and he has given me my best cut and color in years! He is attentive, always pays attention to my concerns and requests. This place is a gem! I am moving to the east coast, and am sad to lose them! This place is a MUST!

From a formally, long-haired friend's recommendation, I selected Margi David for a Locks of Love haircut. Their staff is amazing. I was nervous, but MeriEsther did an awesome job. I have not had my hair this short since junior high, but it was for a great cause. If you're interested in donating, I highly recommend Margi David. Another perk is a free haircut. Call today for an appointment. The salon performs one Locks of Love haircut a day on M-Th before 4 pm. Free parking is available in the driveway just south of the main entrance. I have been blonde for years but it never turned out JUST how I wanted it.. When I came to MargiDavid the experience was unbelievable. My color was absolutely perfect and my cut was the best ever.. They understood my needs and also suggested some things I wouldn't have thought about myself... Thanks for my perfect california blonde...

Make sure that you are very clear as to what your day to day lifestyle is about. To some what they believe to just be a little funky you could later find to be a little more funky than you originally intended.

Cons: The parking is horrible! You bottom out on your way out of the already cramped parking!

What a great experience! My sisters both get their haircut, styled and dyed at your salon - one for over 12 years. We had two little ones in tow and David was phenomenal; after graciously introducing himself he offered to have the girls watch their video on your video screens - over the top kindness! I certainly don't expect this each time we come in, but we had just flown into town and they were more than happy to accomodate all of us.

Wes gave me the shampoo of a lifetime - pure BLISS.

Amber changed my outdated look into an urban, hip - yet manageable - style. I cannot style my hair to save my life, but even I can make this cut work!

I had David cut my hair recently and he did a fantastic job. Asian hair is difficult to work with, but David created a hairstyle for me that added body, texture, and movement. I am definitely going back to David!

Divina gave me my first razor cut. At first, I was nervous when I saw her taking off the length but it turned out beautifully. The highlights she gave me are truly dynamic and age appropriate. I get a lot of compliments on how great my hair looks. I will be back.

At Margi David Salon they are so nice and friendly. They always greet you with a smile when you walk in the door. When I got my haircut from Christina, I left the salon satisfied. She had a very creative idea for the color of my hair, and I loved it! This is a great salon and I recommend it to everyone that I know.

I have gone to the Margi & David Salon for as long as I can remember (15+ years!). They are friendly, great customer service and atmosphere. All of the staff are well trained and knowledgeable. I love the services and products they carry - including great gift ideas and treats for me! I always come out looking like a million bucks! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else and I send everyone I know (or don't know) to the Margi & David salon - its the only place to go.

I can not say enough about Margi & Davids, over the years I have been getting my hair cut by David (the owner) I have reffered numerous friends and family to thier salon, and they have loved the experience. Margi & David have created a very specail place, that is friendly, sophisticated, stylish, cutting edge, fun, and most importantly well skilled. David and staff know hair and skin and they make sure the stylists that work for them know their stuff, training from very exclusive product makers Bumble & Bumble, Aveda, and Dermalogica, just to name a few. Can't say enough about such a high quality salon, unlike a few of the so called higher end Seattle salons where you are just....a number.

As soon as you walk into the Margi David Salon you feel a comfortable yet zeisty feeling take over! You're welcomed by a friendly receptionist, introduced to your stylist and then given a great service. Haircut, color, etc.... I highly recommend trying out this salon

It's so nice to get my hair colored and cut in such a happy fun place. They all seem to really enjoy working together, and cudo's to the addition of hand and scalp massages!
