The staff is very stand-offish as if your presence is unwanted. They are cold and there is this underlying (hidden) resentment of sorts that is identifiable upon walking in the door. The fact of the matter is is that this place is ALWAYS hiring through Craigslist and that is a good indicator of their overall success and customer service ratings. Could have been served better health care and customer service in professionalism and demeanor through the Humane's Society.

Would have given 0 stars, but was forced to give at least 1.

The Salmon Creek Urgent Care Clinic is listed as being open until 8:00pm on week nights, but when I went there at 7:31pm they refused to see me.

Turns out they accept their last patient 30 minutes before closing...or 7:30pm.

So, wouldn't it make more sense to post the closing hour at 7:30pm?

If I'm feeling ill enough to go to an urgent clinic and not wait 12 hours to see my regular dr, then I'm already stressed and the inconvenience caused by their misinformation only worsens the stress level.

Poor service, and I'll make sure to share it with everyone I know in the area. Which, BTW, is only a couple of miles from the clinic.

I've been going to Urgent Care- Salmon Creek since I was a child, and even now though I don't currently have insurance I still go there if I have an emergency. The doctors there are kind and courteous, the nursing staff is wonderful, and 90% of the time I can get in and out within 30 min. I would recommend them to anyone, especially to my friends with children since one of the senior doctors there was my younger sisters pediatrician.

Pros: wonderful people, quick and easy

Cons: expensive if you don't have insurance

New to the area- my son had a sinus infection. Arrived, office staff competent but disinterested. No big deal. Not a long wait which was nice, but medical assistant was again, disinterested and incompetent with the vital sign measurement. She manually took blood pressure in under 5 seconds,I timed it. As a nurse, this is not enough time.Said my son's bp was 100/62- not his- normal. I took it at home and he was at his norm of 120/64.None of these things were too alarming, but once the doctor entered, and began his assessment I knew something was very wrong.
He didn't even look at me when he entered the room, speaking only to my minor son and when I tried to answer some of the questions, he ignored my statements. At this point, I still wanted to give the doctor the benefit of the doubt. Sat quietly in the corner as he asked my son basic questions. My son, having been sick for over a week- answered incorrectly to the questions about whether he had had a fever, any ear pain, and the length of his illness. I waited until the doctor had completed his questioning before I interjected and said that my son had in fact had a fever for two days in spite of over the counter meds, had completed of ear pain and left sided facial pain ((over the maxillary sinus area)- rating his pain of 5 out of 10 to me only moments prior. Dr. Arnott gave no verbal or physical acknowledgment of my comments, and said "You've got a sinus infection- I am going to give you some antibiotics. I'll be right back." At this point, I was sure I wouldn't come back here but not feeling the need to write a google review. Then Dr. Arnott came back. Again, no acknowledgment of the parent in the room. He proceeds to hand my son the scripts stating, "This one is the least important, it's a cough syrup. I know you are not coughing alot, but it will help loosen things up and help the antibiotic to work better. This second one is the nasal spray, the antibiotics won't work as well if you are congested so use this. And this is the important one, the antibiotic. Ok- take care." And walks out of the room. No names of what he prescribed, no instructions- written or verbal, and no opportunity for questions. THAT is what threw me over the edge. JACHO and I am sure other qualifying agencies have made it well know that CLEAR medication instructions are IMPERATIVE to safe and effective care, written instructions being preferred. After my son handed me the scripts, I got another shock. This medical doctor had just handed my 14 year old son a narcotic prescription, with the general instructions that it will "loosen" the mucus up. I was horrified at this dangerous and misleading information. Not only did he and his staff fail to offer guidelines for the medications, they didn't warn us of potential allergic reactions to the antibiotics or the sedative effects of narcotics. He actually handed a controlled substance prescription to my teenager. Thank God my kid is a druggie, he might have taken the opportunity to drink the whole bottle tonight and get nice and high. Do you see why I feel so strongly about this? Most mothers would not have recognized the "cough syrup" as hydrocodone and had no idea why her child became so sedated. It is not only the pharmacist's job to educate and keep patients safe. After a discussion with the doctor, I felt fairly satisfied that he was beyond change, as he denied any of my perceptions or feelings, or any of the dangers of his practice. He clearly stated "we have lots of families that are happy coming back here." To that I say, it's because they don't know any better. Now you do, friend- so I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere in the Salmon Creek area for your urgent medical needs. There are two other clinics, and I believe ones in Hazel Dell that might protect and serve you better. You are your best advocate and have the right to safe, friendly, and COMPETENT care.
Kind Regards.

I took my daughter due toUrgent Care-Salmon Creek due to ear pain. I had never used an Urgent Care before, let alone Urgent-Care of Salmon Creek. I found the staff to be courteous and quick. We waited all of 15 minutes before we saw the doctor. The doctor was knowledgable and attentive. I will use Urgent Care-Salmon Creek again and difinately recommend it to friends and family.

I don't use urgent care much at all. I use natural and homeopathic medicine at home but I felt it was not working for my child in a timely fashion so here I am. I called the Main Street location and found them to be too busy on a Sunday so I chose to go to the Salmon Creek Location. They were very efficient to get us in. The doctor stopped by - took 5 minutes- diagnosed the problem, wrote a prescription for an ear infection and off I went. Overall, I was very happy except that the doctor insisted on talking to my 5 year old son instead of me. As a health care professional, I felt that the doctor needed to have a better approach to the dynamics of the family, rather than obtaining information from a feverish child. The information that my son was giving was based on what he felt then and did not address the norm.

I have visited this location several times. Yes it is true the waiting area is nice and clean and your information and co-pay is quickly handled. I don't expect execellent bedside manner from an urgent care but some sort of service would be nice. I just waited 60 minutes to see the doctor for 60 SECONDS. No one was in the waiting room and the last person checked in 45 minutes before me. I had to hear endless personal conversations between the doctor and the nurses (one really long one about Netflix) while I waited in a room for an hour. He finally came in to see me, asked me if I had a fever (even though the nurse previously took it) listened to my chest, looked in my two ears, "say ahhh" and said "ok, I am giving you an anitbiotic to take care of your sinuses". That wasn't what was even really bothering me. It was my throat and chest. He didn't even check the glands in my neck which is usually standard for a sore throat and I mentioned they felt swollen. He left, came in with a prescription and said "good luck to you" and left. I don't even know why I need an antibiotic! He never told me what was wrong with me or gave me any other paperwork. I have given this place several chances and this last visit was the final straw. KEEP DRIVING and go somewhere else. A clean waiting room is nice, but actual medical care is much more important to me. 60 seconds is not enough and every patient should be told the doctor's analysis.

I have a regular doctor but find myself in need of urgent care more often than regular doctor visits. I have been to this office many times and each time has been a great experience. The waiting area is always clean and the desk help is very friendly. The wait has been reasonable, considering it is a walk-in clinic.

They take insurance and you only pay the co-pay and they bill your insurance for you.
