I have had many facials before and travel frequently to many high-end luxury hotels for my job. A day before a flight, I decided my skin needed some TLC, so I booked a facial for sensitive skin. My esthetician Jamie gave the best facial I've ever had and the travel-size starter kit from the wonderful skincare line uspa (carry uspa and aveda for skincare) is great for me to try a new regimen. She gave me a detailed am/pm and made it really easy to understand. I will be back for more as often as I can!

Margo gave me the best hair cut ever! Their staff is expertly trained and it shows. I am always greeted with a smile and asked if I would like a beverage. I highly recommend the Marketplace Salon.

In the past I have never known how to GET the cut I want, but here it seemed so easy. I went in with a sort of mop-top and, for starters, no one there laughed at me when I said I washed my hair with bar soap. Neither did they try to push product on me when they clearly had opportunity and good reason. But I sat down with the stylist, Helena, told her what I liked and didn't like about my current 'do' and asked her for her recommendation. What she offered was precise, flattering, and professional. It didn't hurt that everyone at Market Place is watching out for each other and commenting and giving feedback on how to improve their craft. I was deeply impressed by this cadre of stylists and look forward to needing a trim!

From the moment I entered the Salon&Day spa,I knew I was in a very special place,Daniel and Melinda owners of this oasis,welcomed me as if I were "Queen" of Burien,I was excitedly introduced and greated by their entire staff of technician's. I enjoyed a full day of services,including:Hair cut&color by Jessi Senior Stylist where we donated over a foot of hair to Locks of Love! Now every place I go I get stopped to be told how beautiful the cut and color is and where did I go to have it done! YAY ! Her enthusiasm, personality combined with her supirior styling and color concept gave me all the security and confidence I needed for such a dramatic change. While I was receiveing my services,Paul Allen,Stylist took a great intrest in my daughter Mar'ysol and asked if she could be used as a model ! He did an amazing job coloring and styling her hair,it looked so natural and added life to her naturally very dark hair,his personality and attitude was sublime.I truly believe he is a Rock Star ! Next : Taryn Shepperd Esthetician took me back for a consultation,and the most beautiful job in shapeing my eye brows I could have ever wished for,she also did my daughters brows they were flawless ! Her abilitie to create a plan for me to help reduce the dark spots on my face,and helping me select makeup from their extensive selection of natural and superior Aveda products came effortlessly and with personal attention second to none ! Next : Margo, also a senior Stylist & Manicurist treated me to an amazing hand massage,and manicure that was just dreamy, I have 4 children 2 dogs and a horse, my hands take a beating but she turned them into works of art ! Even one week later my polish and hands still look better than they ever have,and her wonderful conversation and attitude and great personality added to this great experance. Next : Bridget Wells LMT. treated me to a very relaxing Massage, Her possitive energy and iluminating personality just flowed through me,my daughter was also given the same experance and was just elated by how relaxed she felt. Last but not least , Helena also a stylist assisted Jessi by giving me a wonderful and relaxing Shampoo between my cut and color. She to has the attitude and personality of an Angel ! There was never a moment that we were not completely attended to and treated like Royalty exceding every expectation one could possibly have. Since I've been using this salon for my hair color, I have been complimented on my hair literally hundreds of times. On one occasion, a well known local newscaster walked across a ballroom and said "Forgive me, I must know whom your colorist is, your hair looks fabulous!" Always the salon holds an atmosphere of ease, and peacefulness. The professional staff are lighthearted, engaging with clients, and playful with one another. Market Place Salon has become a regular refuge for me, and I always come out looking and feeling beautiful.

I have had many massages, but Bridget is the best! She is just great at her craft. She talks with you to find out what you need and is one of the best I have come around.
Do yourself a favor, go see Bridget!!! You will not regret it.
As for hair, I have had several of the people cut my hair. Yvette, Daniel, Paul, they all do a great job. The person talking about Market Place is like Mastercuts, must be on something, cuz I have been to Mastercuts (years ago) and you get what you pay for!!!(Not good).
Market Place is a great place!! Enjoy it!

This place is terrible! They want way to much money for what they THINK they are worth. I wouldnt mind paying for a good hair service but I felt as if it was about rushing people in and out just like mastercuts. My haircut looks awful. I could tell they didn't really care about what I wanted when I sat down. I should of known better. I was told not to go here and I shouldnt of....Take my advice and make your money at least worth your time not theres!

I went to Marketplace for a haircut and I have never had such an awful cut in my life. I left there in tears. I am not saying the stylist isn't good at what she does, I am saying her assessment of me and my hair was totally wrong. The cut she gave me for $50 was absolutely terrible. I had to go to another stylist the next day and pay to have my hair cut again. When I called them they said to come in for a redo - why would I do that when you screwed it up so bad the first time. I told them they should give me my $ back but that went nowhere. What a terrible place!

I went in to get my hair colored. This was not the first time I had been there, but it was the first time I was there when the owner was there. I will not mention the name of the person that used to do my hair to keep from getting her in trouble, but she knows who she is and to her I say "sorry, but I will miss your excellent services to me"

Daniel, the owner, was the rudest person I have ever met in my life. The fact that he was condescending and patronizing to one of his employees in front of his customers was by far the most shocking thing I had ever witnessed in a business before. My opinion of him is that he is an elitist and he thinks he is far above the normal human being.

I will never step foot in his establishment again

First...Margo. She did exactly what I wanted with my haircut. I mean...EXACTLY. I am TRYING to grow out my hair...had two haircuts in the seattle area that were...well... nothing I would write anything nice about. Margo, thank you. I am still on the road to shoulder length hair.

Second... Taryn. I had my first facial with her tonight... after having world class service in the various countires I've lived and worked in...she's right up there with the best. My skin feels amazing. I'll be back in a month (if I'm still working in the state).

Third...the desk staff is courteous, professional, and damn... downright warm and friendly.

I'm going back next week for a little funky colour work with Margo. I have absolute confidence I'll be estatic.

I went into Market Place Salon the other day for the first time to get my hair cut and colored. Margo, the new stylist there did exactly what I wanted and I plan to go back monthly. The salon has a HUGE selection of Aveda products (which are amazing!) and the rest of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly....so I plan to go back for a facial and a manicure/pedicure soon! I would recommend the salon to anyone who would like to feel pampered and trust me you will!!

I have never written a review before, this is my fist time ever. I am feeling guilty that it took me this long to write one. Let me start by telling you that my daughter had a big day on September 5th (yeah it was awhile ago) 2008, it was a very special day her Quincenera (her turning 15 comeing of age in the hispanic culture)!! I had scheduled her and I to have our makeup and hair done. Daniel (the owner) did my hair it was absolutely gorgeous! I feel bad that I do not remember the name of the girl who did both our makeup and Alicias hair (my 15 year old) but she did such an awsome job. Everybody there is so kind and helpful.
They definately have a customer for life, like I said we looked great!!! They made her day that much more special The real reson I am writting this is just like the heading that I wrote they went above and beyond the call of duty!! I was waiting for my husband to pick me up to get to the Tukwila Community Center and it kept getting later and later. I was already late to her big day (she was already picked up by the limo) I kept calling my husband there was always last minute things he had to gat done so he said it would be a little longer. Well Daniel and his wife asked why I was still sitting there and I told tem what had happened. Daniel then offers me a ride to the Tukwila Community Center. Who does that???? It is not even close to his shop and not on his way to anywhere. Out of the goodness of his heart he brought me to the party, and saved the day. ( and me from having a breakdown :) ) THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! I definately would reccomend this shop to everyone. REALLY WHO DOES THAT???? tell me if any of your hairdressers would do that for you? He is the owner with his wife and he still puts customers first.

MAKE AN APPOINMENT NOW! MARKETPLACE HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED FROM NAILS TO HAIR TO MASSAGE TO A FACIAl. I have been going to Marketplace for nearly a year now and they are great! I always make sure that my hair and nail appointment are together. This is such a busy spa you have to call a head of time but it is so worth it. I usually get my hair done by Jessi, shes great. My color always comes out perfect and I always love my cut. 2 weeks ago I tryed another stylist because Jessi didnt have any appointment available, her name is Alisa. She was great to! My cut came out wonderful and I felt great when I walked out like a whole new person. All the stylists are great! The front desk it great to, they are the first thing that I see when I walk in. There is a new young lady at the front desk and she did great with helping me even though she was knew. I think her name was holly. She is the one that made the appointment and she found me the time and service that I had wanted. Marketplace salon and day spa is a great spa with great services and great products. I encourage any one who wants a good look, visit them they are the one! : }

My first time at this salon was great. When I walked in the young lady at the front desk was awsome. She helped me get a robe and asked me if I wanted anything to drive so she made me some fresh coffee. My stylist Alisa came out and was so friendly, I had all ready felt recondized. By the end of the 2 hours my hair looked great and my stylist did a perfect job. When I payed at the front desk they asked me if I wanted to book my next appointment and I was sure that I was alisa came out and said to me that she should book out about 6 weeks which would be right before Thanksgiving. It was great and I had such a spleded time at marketplace salon.

I enjoyed my visit to Marketplace salon. I had a stylist named Alisa for a foil and cut. I didn't know what I wanted but I knew what I didn't want. And that's all she needed to know! She explained EVERYTHING that she thought would be the best look for me and why she felt that way. I was really nervous because I really care about my hair and it easily gets damaged, and I knew she could tell but wasn't under any pressure, which made me fell beter. I was watching her during my hair cut and she did things that I have never seen before. She called it " Detaling." I didn't ask any other questions after that cause I knew she knew what she was doing! If you can't tell yet, I had the BEST hair style I have EVER had! Shes an amazing, beautiful, sweet, girl that I will recomend everybody to! I really liked too that the other people working in the salon said hello and made me feel at home also. It feels good to have a stylist I can trust finally. Thank you so much Alisa.

I have been to many of the 'high end' salons in Seattle, and I could never find one that wasn't lacking somehow. Market Place, however, is perfect! I came in to the salon today with a horrible dye job reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands, and right as I entered the store, I was met with a cheery attitude which was exactly what I needed. The girl at the front desk - super nice and helpful, she set me up instantly. My stylist, Alisa, understood exactly what problems she would face with my hair, and exactly how I wanted it cut. She not only removed the horrid color, but was able to give me the dye I had originally hoped to have. Everything was -perfect-. There are some things this salon is missing that others do have... such as poor attitudes, snobby atmospheres, uneducated stylists, and an overall lack of conern. If you want any of that, don't go here. Otherwise, you'll be very, very happy. They even offer a free foot soak while you wait for your color to set!

Market Place is friendly and comfortable but far from frumpy. I love that it's not the kind of place where you walk in and feel like everybody is judging whether or not you're hip enough to be there--but everyone I see leaving there looks great! Daniel does amazing color and haircuts, and Genevieve is a wonderful esthetician, but I haven't had services from anybody there who wasn't top-notch.

Every woman has had it - where it be a bad hair cut or a botched color job.. YOU WILL NOT find it at this place.. I don't know about you, but the relationship with client and stylist is CRUCIAL, you trust this person to not only listen to what your ideas are, but help you find the right style to make you look fantastic.. well.. search no more ladies and gents.. I'm so pleased to say that I'm going to be a LONG time client of Marketplace Salon and Day spa.. I had a HORRIBLE haircut, and searched high and low to find someone to fix it... I walked into Marketplace, and was set up with Alisa.. She's so professional, friendly, down to earth and she will help you and be honest with you if you are willing to step out of the norm and try something different.. She's done my color and cut my hair for a litle over a year now, and i will NEVER go anywhere else.. I do have to say though, the rest of the staff is just as friendly and professional so if you don't get an appointment with Alisa, the rest of them are and excuse the pun "a cut above the rest"..

Daniel has been coloring my hair for at least five years--he is an expert in coloring and cutting plus he travels all over the country teaching while carrying a full calendar of clients. Everyone in his salon is talented and pleasant. In in the beauty business, stylists move on for a variety of reasons and Daniel has had his share move on. He has an excellent team and it is a pleasure to have services there. His staff listen to their clients and genuinely care. I have a foot condition in which my feet must be handled very gently for a pedicure and Genevieve is outstanding. I highly recommend Marketplace Salon.

Make an appointment NOW!!! This is the place. I've been to many salons before finding "Market Place Salon & Day Spa." I hate to go to new places, you never know what might happen to your hair. The staff is fantastic and truly listen and care. Daniel is an EXPERT on coloring, foiling, cutting hair, and I know he travels the country teaching. The spa is truly ahaaaaaaa, manicures and pedicures have put me asleep before. I can't say enough good things about Market Place, again make an appointment!
PS I'm not a everything is great kinda gal... if smoething is bad i'm the one who would tell ya!

First time I have been in..had a wonderful time. The front desk lady was as professional as they come and very sweet, was able to get me in, (they were really busy) I think her name was Debbie... My hair cut with Alisa was great. I got the cut I wanted
simple and stylish.
I will tell all my friends to come to this salon..They were all wonderful. They seemed like a big happy family. Lots of laughing and just all seemed to get along so well.
Just wanted to say thank you and let every one know I had a great time from start to finish.

I can not say enough great things about Jessie, the new girl! She was amazing. The best cut I have ever had. She made me feel very comfortable and was so kind. The rest of the staff, not so great. I would love to go back, but I dread calling to make an appointment. The lady at the front dest was very rude. Other staff were looking me up and down talking about me behind my back (it was very obvious). Very dirty and out dated salon.

If Jessie does jobs on the side, I would pay her double, even tripple just to avoid going back to that salon.

The girl that cut my hair was amazing she was a very sweet blonde girl, I think her name is alicia. Nobody has been able to cut my hair the way i describe it and finally success i finally found someone. I work for a international airline as a flight attendant, i will let my fellow employees know about her.However it's too bad i'm only in town for one day but if I do go back to burien i will definetly go to her again. I hate to do this but there a few cons about this place.However i'm just being honest, this place looks very run down example layers and layers of paint on the cabinets, sexual comments back and fourth between co-workers and the older lady at the front desk seemed to in a bad mood she was very impatient with me on the phone when i booked my appointment and when I checked in. She seemed to nag at the other front desk girl and other employees at the front entrance and in the hallway, that's something that i did not want to see nor hear when i come in to get a hair cut. She was acting as if she was doing me a favor by getting me in that day, even though i had booked a few days in advanced. I have to clarify why i'm only giving them two stars, If i was just rating on the hair cut and Alicia I would give them all five, however I think first impressions are very important. The front desk needs something or someone uplifting and the place needs to be updated with new cabinets or something of that sort . I hope that this was a fair review and I hope someone will find it helpfull.

RUN !!!! this place messed up my hair!!!!!! they said i was with a senior stylist but she really messed up my hair!!! this place is a dive and looks like its stuck in the 80's, this was my first visit and the last, i was not impressed the lady at the front was rude and the stylist didn't know what she was doing. I don't normally do reviews but really felt this one was necessary, if you need your hair done DON'T GO HERE!!!!

wsugina should have said something 2 years ago instead of waiting till now. The ones that can't cut it (no pun intended) move on to other places, usually chop shops, Salons have turnover and the same one that did your hair probably isn't even there any longer. I have been going to Marketplace for over 5 years and have not had problems. If it was something I didn't like with the color, they fixed it! They are not mind readers, you need to talk with any stylist. Some don't listen, that's true, (that is at any salon)but thats why they may not be there any longer.
This salon is one of the best I have been to and I have been to salons all over the country. Daniel is one of the best colorist and stylists I have seen and he passes his knowledge on to his staff.
They all care and they take care of you. Plus they have fun, and smiling faces just make you feel on top of the world when you come out of the Salon.

If I could give Negative stars I would! I need to warn people about this salon, and have been for a few years now. I mostly kept it to myself until 2 friends of mine, all of us with very different hair and very easy color, cut and style requests had our requests completely ignored by three different stylists all on separate occasions.
I can only speak for myself but I can paint a picture fairly well for ya. About 2 years ago I came in wanting to add some low-lights (had no idea at the time that this is what I wanted, but I was not advised at the time and later found out from a reputable hair stylist). When I got up from the wash sink I had dark auburn almost black hair and my jaw dropped. ... Please do not go to this salon as it might be too big of a risk if you care about your hair.

I am very encouraged that someone (obviously not my stylist at the time) responded to my original review of this Salon. It at least shows they would like to take part in the concerns we all have.

On the other hand a general statement about experience from someone I didn't eve deal with, does not rectify the situation. I assure you I am not an indecisive customer, as I have worked in customer service for more than 10 years. The fact is that I was a fairly light blond and came in with two picture of women with about 2-3 shades darker blonde then myself. The Colorist not only decided to not follow what I asked, I did not and still do not trust her enough to come near my hair again for any reason. If we are on a scale of 1 being bleached blonde and 10 being black hair I came in as a 3 and left as a 9 and in no way asked for this ... it just happened and can now not be corrected without extensive, potentially damaging and costly color correction or lifting. This is a fact no matter what arguments can be given. No form of the suggested communication can fix what she did.

I've been coming here for over a year, and chose it because of the Citysearch reviews. I go to Carla, who is just spectacular. She is the best colorist I've ever worked with (as noted by all of my friends and family who keep reminding me of it!). Carla is an artist, I think. She has taken me from long, almost black hair (dyed) to a cute angled bob that is red with blonde streaks and my hair hasn't fallen out, and I love the experiences. Everyone at the salon is a pleasure to be around, the ambience is elegant and salon-ish without being stuffy and the original art and occasional martini/wine promotions are a definite plus. I got my eyebrows done last time, they have a new person (september-ish) and for the first time, someone explained to me how my eyebrows grow and waxed them so that they finally match shape. I can't recommend this salon highly enough. I see regulars there all the time, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with ANY of the stylists there. Give it a shot. You'll be glad you did. I was. I'm now a loyal Marketplace-er!!

The guy below (volvobronson from 9/21/07) needs to shut up, use Pantene and go to a barber shop. What started several years ago as a complete hair makeover with Daniel that to this day stops people on the streets, has become my monthly indulgence complete with lash extensions & massages with Alicia (LOVE the lashes; no eye make-up needed, even through trips to Hawaii, camping, etc...), to spa and express manicures/pedicures with the lovely new asthetician, Genevie, who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in many more areas than just your nails! My hands, feet & nails have never looked better (that's a lot to say for someone who bangs around wheelchairs, exercise equipment and patients as a therapist, or roughs it out rock climbing/kayaking/camping/hiking trips every weekend with no amenities)! The conversations are never boring, the gourmet tea, coffee and great satellite radio suit me just fine, the prices more than fair, and yes, I love the product lines and NOT ONCE have I felt pressured to buy! And the plethora of good reads like Architectural digest and a slew of health & trendy hair magazines I find I have no time for as they are never late with me. Yes, perhaps you SHOULD stock your waiting area with some men's health, auto mechanic and hunting magazines, though this is not a place for those seeking cheap chop shops, dime store products and corner barbers. I will continue to recommend this salon to everyone, as I've already referred dozens and they've all been more than happy!! Thank you, thank you, Marketplace Salon! Can't wait to see you next month!

Ok, I'm a metrosexual guy who cares about how my hair looks. I'm happy to spend $60 bucks on a great cut and recently moved out of Seattle to Burien. I found out about Marketplace Salon through CitySearch and thought what great reviews...perfect!

Upon arriving they have no mens magazines (e.g. GQ) so I am forced to read an Aveda booklet for men that is out. While waiting for my appointment a sales rep asks me have I tried the mens Aveda line before? No, I have not I say hoping to just get my cut. "Oh, my goodness they are the best ever, " the saleswoman insists. Thankfully my stylist arrives before I can be invited over to the products section. The saleswoman tells my stylist that I have not used Aveda and make sure I try it. Great.

I am taking in the back to a run down looking salon. Mismatched tiles in the floor, old/worn furniture and hair posters from the 80's. During my shampoo I am told of the Aveda products that are being added to my hair and told I can purchase them on my way out.

When she chops off half an inch of hair and within 15 mins tell me I'm "all set." I disagree. I stated I need more to come off. "Oh no," she worries that would ruin my style maybe I should just work with it and then come back for another cut. No..keep cutting thanks.

After the final style (which was decent) I was told of the wonderful Aveda products she was again using into my hair. "Your hair loves this product" she announces proudly. Again I am offered to purchase it on the way out. I decline but am given a sample to work with. Sure...whatever...get me out of here.

Upon checkout the cut went from $40 to $45...no explanation, just that they must have misquoted me over the phone. I pay it and get it out. Avoid the hassle...go somewhere else.

People in Market Place Salon are very courteous and friendly. Debbie the manager is a very nice lady, I was late to my appointment and she called concerned and rescheduled my apponitment without charging anything.
If you go to Market Salon Spa I highly recommend Alesha, this young lady is an expert massager and esthetician. She greets you with lovely smile and takes very good care of you.

They just weren't friendly to me. Debbie and Jamie weren't very talkative. And I saw staff changing there shoes in the middle of the hallway, which was weird, thinking they would use private areas for that. It seemed like a nice place, but after I left I felt like my appointment was rushed and not welcome to come back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I've been going to this salon for six months and I would highly reccommend it to anyone who is looking for great service. Carla has been the one that's been doing my hair and everytime I come in I am highly satisfied with her service. Not only is Carla a proffessional at what she does she is also realllyyy coool. Everyone knows that waiting for a foil can be extremly long and boring, but with Carla time flies as she lets me soak my feet and make me laugh.

I've been going to this salon for about six months or so, and am very happy with the service I've received. My hair is pretty challenging - but I always come out of the salon looking much better than when I go in. I've been going to Carla, who is a pleasure to have my hair done by, and she does a great job. My feet are also very appreciative of the foot soak while my hair color sets.

Market Place Salon:
I've been a client of Market Place for about 7 years and my hair dresser Nahid at Market Place is the BEST
She does everythning I ask for. If it is color or cut, I get it just how I wanted it , in addition to that she gives the best head massage in the bowl I have ever had.!! Nahid you totaly Rock!
You also get to soak your feet while your color proccess, so very nice....

As far as the staff and other services the massage and facials are great too.

The atmospher is calm and inviting just what I need after running my butt off all day.

Jessie has been cutting and coloring my hair since becoming a stylist at The Marketplace.
I just had a mid-winter overhaul ,as I like to call it. He gave me one of the best color makeover's he has ever given me.
I am blond with some natural dirty blond (my own color) woven through. I asked for some "chocolate brown" to be added to the mix as well as coloring the entire underneath layer chocolate.
It looks awesome! Another great job Jessie :-)

I went to Marketplace Salon and Spa for a brazillian, and was very pleased. Jamie did a great job - the waxing was much less painful than I expected, and her fun personality and relaxed attitude made me feel comfortable. The prices are very affordable, and the staff is friendly. I already made a follow-on appointment for waxing, and I will be going back for a facial as well.

I recently was given the gift of massage at Marketplace Salon by a family member. I have to say it was one of the best massages I have ever received. The massage therapist made me feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout my session and left feeling re-energized and relaxed. I have enjoyed several of the services provided at the Market Place Salon. Yes, Carla is as good as the other reviewers say. She does my hair too: cut, color, perm, style. Love her work!

But none of the reviewers tell you about Shari, who provides massage. For those of you who have physical problems, perhaps back and neck pain like me, she is licensed, highly trained, and very gentle and experienced. She also works in a doctor's office, so I feel lucky to have her skills available in the Salon without a prescription.

The other services not mentioned are the manicures/pedicures done by Olga. I've had pedicures at other salons (not that many places offer pedicures and when they do, the pedicurist acts like he or she really doesn't want to be doing it), and frankly, after the beautiful and gentle work done by Olga, I'll never go to the other salons again. Feet come out like silk.

Carla is my hairstylist at Market Place and she does an amazing job! I love my hair color and now my Mom, Aunt and cousin all go to her. She is very good at listening to what you want and also giving suggestions if you're not entirely sure what you want. I am moving further away from the salon, but I will definately make the drive to see her.

I've been going to Market Place Salon since I was ummm... maybe 5 years old? I've gone from hair stylist to hair stylist and have never felt as comfortable there as I have with Carla. She colors and cuts my hair, and always knows what I want. Unlike some hair stylists that I've gone to, she takes criticism very well and when I tell her what I don't like about my hair, she fixes it and makes it look gorgeeeous. Today I even went in to the Salon, just to say hi to her, and ended up staying there and talking to her for quite a while. So uhhh yeah.. Carla's pretty much my favorite, not even gonna lie. ps - I love you Uncle Dan!

I decided to try this salon, after years of 'thinking about it'. I'd seen it while driving by, and checked out their website a few times, and was finally ready for a change, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm SO glad I did! JESSE did my hair, and my color was EXACTLY what I wanted. Every other time I'd gotten my hair colored, it was nice, but not exactly what I had pictured. JESSE was able to give me EXACTLY what I had in mind. He is also one of the FEW stylists who have been able to style my hair in a way that I dont have to run home and re-style it before it I can go out in public!! Long story short, JESSE is awesome, he's my new stylist, and I'm happy I made the change.

After being referred to Market Place by several of my coworkers, I finally gave them a try for myself.

I was pleasantly suprised from the moment I walked into the salon, to the moment I left. It not only is tastefully decorated, but is truly designed to pamper the guests that come in for a variety of treatments. It reminded me of a Gene Juarez-type of atmosphere, but much more personable and quaint.

I ended up getting my hair cut, colored, and highlighted.. and to my delight.. I looked fabulous! The staff is so nice, I absolutely love the Aveda products, and I will definitely be back for more pampering in the future. My mother is now going too because she loved how my hair turned out!

I have been to the Market Place Salon several times and have had several of their services. Ever since my first visit they remember me and greet me by name, they always give me very personal and friendly service. I love being treated to the Aveda tea when I come in.

I have had my hair cut and colored by Daniel and would recommend him to anyone. It is the best color and cut I have ever had. I have sent several of my friends to him and they have had the same experience.

I have also had a facial, which I enjoyed very much, and a pedicure with Enjoli. She was great!

They go out of their way to make every client feel very well taken care of. It is so nice to not have to go to Down Town Seattle to get this kind of salon service!

The spa section is a bit small. Staff was very nice and professional. I had a "skin resurfacing facial" there and my skin was smooth like baby skin. It was very relaxing. They offered me a complementary shampoo & air wave which is nice so I can meet my boyfriend right away. It's not very pricy compare to the other salon I've been to. I'll definately visit again.

I have been having problems with my arm and shoulder and went to the doctor. I was told I had tendinitis. Well, I went to P.T. three times and I was in total pain. Went to Bridget and what a difference. I am able to move again and sleep without pain. She is unbelievable. So Professional and she has concern for everyone she works with. She is worth every cent and more.

I saw Cherry for the first time and she waxed my eye brows. She did an amazing job! The pain was so minimal that I hardly even knew that she had waxed them. The shape looks great, I would definitely recommend her for any waxing service.

I needed my hair colored and wanted it to match a certain celebrity's color. Jesse found it on the internet and matched it perfectly. I also had a pedicure and it was great!

Market Place Salon & Day Spa is the place for me! After a disgusting experience at Gene Juarez I decided to try someplace closer to home. What a great decision! Lucille has been cutting my hair for quite a while and it looks fabulous. Jae shapes and colors my brows to compliment my great hair. I look great! In addition, the atmosphere is relaxed and conversation fun and entertaining. I highly recommend Market Place Salon & Day Spa!

This is one of the few salons I have gone to more than once. The stylists are great and seem to know what you want even without you telling them. The atmosphere is relaxed, and customer service is fabulous. On my last visit, I even got a complimentary foot soak and hand massage. I look forward to returning.

I had been going to a certain salon in Burien for about 2 years, a salon who I dare not mention, (London House Salon and Spa...) I decided to try Market Place Salon. It was the smartest move I had ever made! Jesse was absolutely wonderful! He knew exactly what I wanted and needed for my hair. Never pressuring, just precise. My hair and self confidence has never been better! I was spending a lot of money at the other salon with just half the quality and talent that Marketplace has to offer. In a way I thank my old salon, if it wasn't for their foul up I would never had found Jesse!! I would recommend Market Place Salon to anyone, even if they are devoted to another salon, just to try something different. I guarantee that the experience makes a world of difference.

I work near Marketplace Salon and I started going there after Jesse kept telling me that I had to let him do my hair. My hair is nothing special, but Jesse made it look fantastic. The last time I went in, he decided to make me a red head. He did a wonderful job, I am absolutely loving it. Jesse is very creative and I would highly recommend that you let him do whatever he wants to your hair. Trust me, it's a little scary at first to hand the control over, but you will love the final product. I love everyone at the salon, they will make you feel right at home. Thanks Marketplace!

I love Market Place Salon! I have been going there for several years now and I always leave very happy with my results. Jesse does amazing things with color. His work is excellent every time and I should know because I have made him change me from a blonde, to a brunette, and now to a red head.
Everyone at Market Place is so friendly. They really foster a fun and relaxing environment there.
I highly recommend Market Place to anyone who wants an amazing head of hair.

Jesse did my hair and I let him have full control over it. he gave me a cut that flattered me, plus he added highlights and a color. He gave me such high self esteem from this and I just loved the way it took pounds off my face. Jesse is the only one that I will allow to touch my hair, let alone color it. Ive been going to Jesse for 3 yrs., since he was in hair school. Ive been there to see him grow into quite the professional. He does an amazing job all the time. You won't find better service and quality of products. The staff knows hair and they are passionate about what they do. While you are processing hair color, soak your feet or have a hand massage. Drink tea/coffee - talk about being taken care of - this place is great!

This is by far the best salon I have been to. I only got a massage but I am definitly coming for all of my beauty needs. Everyone is very nice and Nathan gave the best massage I have ever had. The salon has a nails, facials, waxing, and of course hair and I cant wait to come back for another massage and try out some of the other things the salon has to offer.
