I also purchased the Groupon and I have YET to even be able to use it. I have attempted on two separate occastions to use my groupon..(Mind you, I do not live in Vancouver) I made plans to meet a friend on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 for lunch, got there only to find out they didn't open until 3:00...then made another dinner date with same friend (who lives in Vancouver) for a Monday after work, got there only to find out that they were closed on Mondays. I would think one would print days/hours if they are not "routine" restaurant hours. I am planning to return there tomorrow, after 3:00 to FINALLY use my groupon before it expires, but I have to admit....I am not expecting anything spectacular. Let you now my opinion of the actual place, once I get inside.

We ate here last night and since then i have been taking my time and posting my review on every known site, i have never done this before but was so appalled with my experience i had to. We bought the Groupon online because we have always wanted to try this place. So first when we got there i ordered hot tea and my husband a beer. I was pretty much told the hot tea was too much of a hassle to make and could i order something else. then we ordered our dinner...i ordered the stroganoff...i was told that there had been MANY complaints about it and was steered away from that...so i ordered the special. Then about 10-15 minutes later i was told the special was sold out (since their menu is not very big i was running out of options. So i ordered the fish & chips with a side salad. Never got my salad, my husbands plate (the clam strips and fries) was heaping. I however had the 3 smallest pieces of halibut and about 13 french fries and it looks like they tried to hit my plate with the cole slaw but they missed. I would like to say that the small amount of food i had was at least good but i have had better fish & chips at the drive though at Burgerville. And the meal i ordered was $22. Which is what we had to pay for our food after our $30 groupon. The food we were served at such outlandish prices i could have gotten at any neighborhood tavern and it would have been better quality and better priced. Our poor server was attempting to do every thing she could to make our visit nice. When my husband suggested to the owner some older lady that there was a problem she copped an attitude and told him he did not know what he was talking about. this was our first and last time we will ever go to this place!!! RUN the other way.

The beer and food was just ok. The prices were high. The appetizers and beers that we ordered showed up within about 10 minutes of us sitting down things seemed to be going well. We figured we'd be able to eat and get back home at a reasonable time. Then we placed our entree order and when 1.5 hours has gone by I asked to speak to the manager. She was not very helpful. Didn't speak very good english. Said she would look into it. She comes back with a paper and says that the order was submitted to the kitchen at such and such a time. It was pretty clear our server didn't submit it promptly but even at the time that was on the paper it was over an hour that the kitchen had the order. And it was for just one plate of the sausage, sourkraut and potatoe salad. She didn't offer to compensate us in any way and just walked off. We asked to have the food boxed up and asked for the check. While we're waiting for the check, the people 2 tables away from us we're complaining also about the 2 hour wait they had been suffering through. And as I write this my wife is looking at the sausage that they boxed up for us and see's it is burnt... great! I would steer clear of this place! The negatives by FAR outweigh any good. We had high hopes of a great little local spot but found a place to tell people to avoid at all costs. Too bad the lowest rating we can give is just 1 star, it deserves a -3 star rating! No other place with bad service has ever motivated me to write a bad review. This place has motivated me to find anyone willing to listen to let them know to avoid at all costs!

So-called prime rib ceasar salad was all wilted lettuce, very little freshparmesean cheese and the meat was a few measley pices of griste -- $17.95. This was a "special" but the server neglected to mention the WAY overpriced

The atmosphere felt like a scene out of psycho, the owner threatened you with a bat if you didn't listen to her stories of self reject and the food was overfried and moderate at best. Most definitely the worst restaurant experience in Vancouver. Don't let me mention the health code violations within th establishment. Do yourself a favor and order in.

I love this place. Their beers are good and for me (not a huge beer fan) the food is better. So both me and my husband are happy. Their beef stroganoff melts in your mouth. Portions are large, but not "super size" large - so maybe you'll have room for desert, though I never have! Service is average to above average. Prices are fair, especially considering the quality of the food and beer. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here is very good. They have great fat burgers and they are perfectly cocked. The best thing though is the brews. They even often different brews as the year goes on.

An Ideal Place for an intimate get together with great Burgers and Brew.It is particularly enjoyable in the summer when they open their little outdoor side patio up for outdoor dining. They offer good salads, and sandwiches, with thick crispy fries, and the selection of Beer is always interesting

The Salmon Creek Brewery is largely undiscovered, save for the Downtown Vancouver legal community. Were the people who frequent this place and, I'm convinced, are the only reason its still in business. I hope this helps get the word out. The food here--nothing really surprising or different, its basic pub food--is really good. Portions are (too) big. Their French fries are excellent and go great with the sandwiches and burgers that make up the menu. They do a great beer-batter on chicken and fish (REAL halibut, not cod, and FRESH salmon, not farm-bred). And their beers are world-class; they do an IPA as good as any Ive tasted. It's seldom crowded and they have a nice patio in the summer. The staff seem to all be related and are on a first-name basis with many of the customers. They have an extended dinner menu and happy hour Monday-Thursday.

PROS: GREAT beer, quiet and intimate place
CONS:
