Hula Boy  4 Star Rating - Very good

By Brenda V.

The food is wonderful. Have been there several times and it's always been great! The service is even better. Even at lunch when it seems packed, the waitresses handle the crowds. Love it!

I love this place!! The food is delicious! Their chicken is the best. I went on a Friday and could still find a seat. That won't happen just at any place!!

Hula Boy Rocks!  4 Star Rating - Very good

By C B.

The Chicken and brown rice with the Jamaican Jerk sauce is the best ever! Everyone at the Cricket Corporate store is addicted to the bento, and we all throw a fit is someone goes to Hula Boy and does not pick up extra for the team. The macaroni salad is super yummy also!

Way over piced  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

By Melanie L.

I ate at the Hula Boy, at there new location in downtown Vancouver Wa,.

I have to say the atmosphere was very nice, but I did feel rushed by the waitress who was there every few minuets pushing to take our orders. The place was empty except for a few diners. I ordered the Kai-bi Ribs and Coconut Shrimp for 16.95 it was on the Lunch Menu. The 3 ribs were pretty fatty but had a nice flavor and there were only 2 heavily breaded coconut shrimp on the plate. (shock) for 17 bucks. But I did get a pound of cooked rice and an ice cream scoop full of bland mac salad. Not to forget the veggies, a cold couple of slices of pickles and carrots. And again for 17 dollars. The Shrimp were tasteless and more tough than anything the breading was thick beefing up the size of the shrimp. My friend got a Teriaki Chicken Bento 6.99 which he seem to enjoy the tiny chopped bits of chicken and the pound of rice.
With two sodas our bill came to 29.45, without tip.
I don't think this place is worth the price, I can get a nice strip for less money on the River.

If you want to Believe this place is a good deal and it's has better tasting food than Maui I have some land for sale in a swamp.

Hula Boy Char Broil, downtown  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

By Kathy H.

The salad, iceberg lettuce, uck no imagination. The portions very large. Flavor of beef and chicken good, I'm not too impressed with the coconut shrimp, can't taste the shrimp, only coconut.

The Best  5 Star Rating - World class

By Jodie S.

Hula Boy is the best hawaiian style food I've ever found. Nothing I've had in Maui even compares. Delicious chicken, beef and shredded pork. The macaroni salad is not too sweet but perfect. What makes this food great is the special homemade teriyaki sauce and the way the meats are cooked. The prices are very affordable. Great for lunch or dinner. I eat there a couple of times a week. The service is good. Watch out,it's addicting.
