Plant Farm At Smokey Point

I can come here for serious garden needs, or to simply walk through the outdoor or indoor aisles, and spend time at the pond watching the fish! Plan on spending a while here, and coming out with an impulse item you hadn't planned on!

The Plant Farm has recently re-located down the road from the former location and with the relocation has come an upgrade in the experience of shopping there. They have a huge greenhouse containing their annuals and hanging baskets where the check outs are. Its warm and light filled in there. Theyve got a new fish pond with a bridge over the middle filled with colorful fish. I like shopping here because I can count on their plants to perform. Ive bought the same plant from here and Lowes as an experiment and both were given the same treatment but the Plant Farm plant was much larger and more vigorous. A lot of their shrubs and trees are grown right on the farm so you know youre getting a specimin thats accustomed to life in the Pacific Northwest, not something grown in sunny warm California. With each purchase, you earn plant bucks which you can turn in during special plant bucks redemption times to get plants for cheaper. The one thing theyre still lacking is flush toilets. There are two pit toilets in the parking lot.

I love shopping at the Smokey Point Plant Farm. It is easily accessed at exit #206 from I-5.

The quality of the products that they have for sale, whether it is a plant, a tree, a shrub, a pot or a basket, or just yard care items (chemicals, pesticides, etc.) are of the quality that justifies the stop!

Only draw back is that you can't seem to find anybody to help you look around, explain things, unless you wait for a long time for someone to help. Heaven forbid it is spring! The lines are long, and the carts are full.

PROS: Absolutely divine quality of products - plants, chemicals, and decor
CONS: you can't seem to find anybody to help, quickly.

Just off I-5 at the Smokey Point exit with easy access and ample parking. The prices and quality of the plants make the drive well worth it. For large landscaping projects the excellent inventory will fill the bill! Their primroses cannot be beat for quality OR price (currently on sale for $0.69 for a 4" plant. My plants from last year are STILL blooming!

PROS: Exceptional quality
CONS: Minimal yard help
