Originally a hotel and bar, this flatiron building, home of the present-day Triangle Pub, was built at a cost of $22,000 in 1910. Now, the Triangle Pub is a historic sports bar offering patrons local flavor. We have 12 beers on tap, including Northwest microbrews like Mac & Jack's Hefeweizen. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday until 6pm (except on game days) with $.50 off all pints. A 12 oz. mug of Labatt Blue is always a buck. Our pub is an excellent place to get a beer and free peanuts. Throw the shells on the floor of Seattle's Historic Triangle Pub--it's a house rule.

The Scene
Triangle Pub is a historical landmark--it's got the National Park Service plaque and the layer of grime to prove it. Built in 1910 as a hotel and bar, the building's been through several incarnations, but has served as the Triangle since 1981. Besides being old, it's also notable for its diminutive size. There's only room for three small tables and a row of stools. A mix of white- and blue-collar workers--with a sprinkling of the neighborhood's hard-luck boozers--sit elbow-to-elbow.

The Draw
At one point, the building reportedly served as a brothel, yet there's nothing remotely sexy about the place at present. It is, however, a fine spot to grab a beer after work or before a Mariners or Seahawks game. Sports are also the primary television fare, and the boisterous, mostly male, crowd almost feels like they've all front row seats at the stadium.

Key Points

  • Local Microbrews
  • $1 Beer Special
  • Free Peanuts

The Inside Scoop

  1. The Extras - When the weather's decent enough for outside seating, the capacity nearly doubles and offers quality people watching and a perfect view of the crumbling viaduct.

This is a cool bar to hang out in. Not only is it historic, but good atmosphere, great drinks and friendly service. You should check this out if you are near Safeco Field

Fun Food and Spirits

by Angel W.

I have been a patron of the Triangle Pub since the day it opened. They make a mean drink at a fair price and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is like a 40's martini lounge with all the modern comforts. Whether your watching the game on one of Mac's
big screens or singing karaoke I guarantee you will have fun.

The Triangle also serves a full menu and you wont be disappointed with Mac's famous
Philly Cheese Steak. You can rest assured that you will get ideal service and food making it a great place to hold company meetings.
